Hello Daniella! I'm Vyper, and welcome to YWS! Of course silly. Friends are always nice. Anyway, before you start posting your works, I'd better go over some of the rules. They are located here. But, if you don't feel like reading it all, I'll put down the two most famous ones here:
1. Keep the 2:1 review ratio. That means you have to review two works before you can put one of your own up on the site. After that, you can post as much as you want, but it's appreciated if you keep the review: work ratio to at least 2:1.
2. Use proper grammar, spelling, and capitalization. That means no chat/netspeak. It is sometimes painful to read that, so it's common courtesy.
That's it for the rules. Now, some of us members have differently colored usernames, so here we go:
Black: Regular Members.
Blue: Greeters, who greet you and answer any questions you might have about the site.
Purple: Instructors who give you in-depth critiques.
Light Green: They are Junior Moderators, who have moderating powers in some forums.
Dark Green: Regular moderators who have moderating powers in all the forums.
Red: Site administrators who keep the site up and running.
Orange: They are distinguished members, retired mods.
Well, that's it for colors. There's a guide at the bottom of the page if it gets too confusing. And that's all I have for now in the explaining part of the job. Time for the interrogation!

Awesome! Glad you're getting used to the site! So, the basic things you should know how to do :
Review - You already know how to do that
Write & Submit a Piece - After you've done at least two reviews, then you should click the button submit something, which is right under the read and review button. Click whatever genre you're going to write, and then submit your first piece! Every piece you write takes 150 points to post.
Friending people - Go to their profiles and at the top near their list of friends click add!
I think that's it, feel free to PM me if you have any questions!

Love is the answer to life yet the slowest form of suicide. Love is a paradox. And that's why we love it.
Another note on reviews: They must be at least three lines long, or else they don't count. The upside is that the more you can find in other's works, the more you can improve your own work. ^_^
And my little sales pitch on rated works! Rated works (unless rated R) show up on the front page of YWS for all to see! You might even get more comments. Rated R works have the f-word and/or graphic scenes.
Also, when you submit a piece, you get points back. Usually 50 for a work of literature, and other genres like poetry and art depend on how long things are.
If you have any questions, PM me.
