For the moment, you all can just call me Air. I'll call you early.

Hi there, Air, and welcome to YWS!! I am the first to greet you!! *high fives* =D

To start you off on your journey here, I'll give you a few rules :D ...
1. For every piece of work you post, you must do two reviews beforehand. This makes sure all the reviews are spread around equally
2. You already seem to have no problem with this, but just so's you know, no chatspeak, as this is a writer's site =D

Those are the two main rules, and the full rules book can be found, if you click on the 'Help and Support' link at the top of the page.

Also, you see how my name's purple? Well that's because the people in Purple specialise in detailed reviews, so come to us if your in need of a review - we're all nice friendly people happy to help. That's not the only coloured person you'll noticed around YWS... there are blue people, which are greeters, and specialise in greeting you new guys and showing you around the site. This is where I tell you you've joined at a slightly crazy time... you see us (the Purps) and the Blues are having a friendly war, where we've swapped jobs, and we're so obviously going to win  otherwise those Blue guys would be the ones greeting you instead. Anyway... there are also green people which are the important ones, so don't go messing with them!! Also, the light green help them out. And than you have the Red and Oranges - the two reds are who to thank for this awesomness that is YWS, and the oranges are the distinguished member of this site.

So! Enough about this site, and more about you!! What kind of stuff do you like to write? Books to read? Favourite colour...? Please, fill us in!!!

I hope you have a great time here, and if you have any questions or just want to chat PM me or drop a message in my guestbook (which can be found by clicking on the 'PROFILE' button at the bottom of my message)!!

*scratches head*

Hey Air, what are you doing making a new member thread? You have, like, a bajillion posts already. Surely you know your way around?

Anyway, I'll give you the low-down anyway just as a reminder.

We've still got the whole really important 2:1 thing, as luccy said, and then now chatspeak also, which really doesn't seem like a problem for you. But, just in case, remember not to fall prey of the horrible internet lingo. At YWS, we unite in our battle for proper grammar!

...yeah. So, moving on.

IF you'd like to get in touch with someone, you can do it two ways: either drop them a PM or leave a message in their guestbook, which is in their profile. But, again, I'm not sure how much of this stuff I'm just repeating for you, so ignore me if I'm rambling on about things you already know. 8)

And, as you've noticed, the war is underway. Purps -vs- blue. It's actually a quite epic battle, and switching jobs isn't as easy at it looks.

There's a new edition of Squills out, the YWS e-zine, so you can catch up with things by checking that out. The Lounge is also open for conversation, as always, so post a bit there and reintroduce yourself to everyone! I'm sure you'll get the hang of things again in no time.

If you need anything, PM me or any of those friendly blue people!

Hey Air! You're not that new... I've seen you around! But welcome anyway! Here's your overdue greeting, haha. You probably missed out on making a welcome thread, right?

My name is Clo, I'm an Instructor (as you can tell by my purple name), so I am here to help you out with your writing and stories. Feel free to send me a PM (Private Message) whenever you need someone to help you out with anything. :)

Since you know all the rules and most of what this site has to offer already, since you've been around, I say TELL me about yourself then! What kind of writing do you like to do? What are your areas of trouble? Your favorite genres? What about books that you like, are they similar to what you write? How's your view on poetry?

Also, where can we find you on YWS? What forums do you frequent often? Do you have a blog?

You can't start a welcome thread and expect not to tell us about yourself. ;) We need to get to know you!

I hope to see you around.

~ Clo

I don't think I ever had a welcome thread.... >.<;

Anyway, welcome Air! Or at least, late welcome Air! How are you finding the site?
I won't give you the tour, you obviously don't need it. I haven't met you yet, so what are you interested in? What genres do you write? Do you need a hand? I will look over any work you need reviewed, unless it's poetry or lyrics. I can't write or analyze them.

Anyway, Have fun around the site!

Hey Air.

Yep, you're definitely not new – you have many identities! :D I'm sure you know your way around here and everything. So, it's Air from now on? Got it :)

Remember that you can still always PM me whenever you feel like it. I'll answer as soon as I can :)

So, I'll see you around!
