Hi! I am fifteen years old. I just found this website and I'm really excited. Not entirely sure how everything works yet, but I'm excited to learn!

Welcome TheRenegadeRose! We're so glad you're here! I was a bit confused when I first joined, too. Everything is just so big! But don't worry, it gets easier once you know your way around a bit. :)

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out to me or almost any other active member on the site! ^^ There's also a questions forum if you're interested: Questions and Answers

Hiya! Welcome to the site :D There's some good info on the basics in the FAQ for new users. That includes the technical stuff: how to post your writing to get reviews on YWS and also how to submit a review on a work you've read.

It had a perfectly round door like a porthole, painted green, with a shiny yellow brass knob in the exact middle. The door opened on to a tube-shaped hall like a tunnel: a very comfortable tunnel without smoke, with panelled walls, and floors tiled and carpeted, provided with polished chairs, and lots and lots of pegs for hats and coats—the hobbit was fond of visitors. The tunnel wound on and on, going fairly but not quite straight into the side of the hill —The Hill, as all the people for many miles round called it—and many little round doors opened out of it, first on one side and then on another.
