Hi, I'm new so thought I'd say...hi. I'm figuring a lot of stuff out pretty quickly, but can I ask here, what are gifts? How do they work and that kind of thing? Thanks and hi again!
Gifts are just our way of being friendly and gifting people for doing something we appreciate! Whether it's being kind, reviewing your work(s), being a friend, for a special occasion (YWSiversary, birthday, etc.), etc., people will gift you for any reason at all! It's also another fun way to spend some points, if you have as many as I have. We usually have a Gift Extravaganza every once or twice a year. It's fun.
To send a gift, click the gear tab, then find the mini tab labeled "gifts" and send away! (or, rather, click here) Gifts are all 50 points now, so you can send whatever you fancy. The prices used to vary, but now it's all the same, to make it easier and cheaper.
