Prepare to-- Well, you get the idea. XD Hola. :)

Things you should know about me:
1. I am genre-confused. XD I write fantasy and science-fiction, but I've been told that my sci-fi's sound like fantasy, and my fantasies sound science-fictioney. XD

2. I am the most intelligent idiot you will ever meet. Straight A's, but not an ounce of common sense to be found anywhere...

3. YWS kills my formatting. :'( So, if you read something by me and something looks like it should be italicized but isn't? It's cause I was too lazy to go back through and code everything so it looks all nice and pretty like it did in my word document. ;)

4. I am a dutiful duty-shirker. I join websites, get very involved, and then - usually right after I've been made a moderator or put in charge of the roleplay for a certain user-club thing - I tend to drift away and never visit that website again... Or at least not for six weeks or so. I'm going to try to overcome this tendency here, because I'm liking this site, but just to be safe, try to refrain from making me your new queen. :smt002

5. I am a formerly-homeschooled pastor's daughter who doesn't care much for swearing and/or graphic sex scenes, drug usage, etc. I might read it to review something, but I won't enjoy it as much. XD

6. Yesterday, at a garage sale, I bought an old, ginormous TV remote. I believe it can control human beings, and thus I plan on using it to take over the world... Wait. That plan may have some flaws, due to point number 4... Well, I'll figure it out. ^^

7. I am currently wearing a funky, knit hat from Vietnam that I also got at the aforementioned garage sale.

8. I have one mermaid-themed fantasy short story already posted, and I plan to post other works ASAP. I love feedback, so reviews would be welcome. ^^

That's it for now, I think. Just thought I'd make an introduction thread and draw attention to myself. ^^

Hi Silentpages! :]

I absolutely love your introduction! I think it's awesome that you used to be home schooled. Are you going to a public school now? I just graduated from homeschooling. I'm on my way to college. ^_^

I see that you have already reviewed stories! Awesome. I'm going to track you down, and review your stories as soon as you post them. I'm a stalker like that. xD

Anyways, even though you wrote an awesome introduction of yourself, I still have questions!

1) What type of music do you like to listen to?

2) If you could do anything in the world, what would it be?

3) Have you traveled anywhere? If so, where'd ya go?

I can't wait to see you around the site! *Rubs hands together anxiously*

Ciao for now,

Kate

P.S. I wouldn't worry about getting side-tacked from this site. It's addictive! xD

Hey there!

I saw the atmosphere of the site thingy :) I won't tell but I know your secret!! AKA, what writing website you came from before YWS. :D

So you can't handle being Queen? Darn. We needed a new one of those. I'm the stupidest smart person you've ever met. I pretty much fail school but according to my SATS, I'm "above grade level". I never do homework because I'm ALWAYS on YWS :D.

You seem awesome enough to join the ranks and become a YWSer. So congrats! OOOOPS. Forgot to say welcome. WELCOME! :)

Princess Bride is win. xD

So you write Sci Fi and Fantasy mostly? That's awesome! Fantasy is, like, my love. It's so fun to write. Any particular authors you like, since it looks like Kate covered all the other fun questions. o:

Feel free to ask me or anyone else if you have any questions. We're not too scary here, and only a few of us bite last time I checked.

Oh, yeah. Welcome to YWS and all that. I'm Antigone, but you can call me Anti, Tigger, Caddie, Hakuna Matata or whatever makes you happy. I sort of answer to anything at this point.

Also, I am jealous of your Vietnamese hat. (:

YWS is a pretty awesomesauce place. Trust me- you won't wanna leave.

Thanks guys! Lol. ^^

@ wonderingkate: I started going to public school when I was in fifth grade, and as of yesterday (SUMMER VACATION! >.<) I'm a junior. :D Yup, I've been reviewing... Reviews! Yay! >.<
1) Any kind, really, as long as the lyrics are good, but I really love the rockin' stuff. ;) Favorite band is Flyleaf, have too many others to list them all, but... Family Force 5, Thousand Foot Krutch, Skillet, Anberlin, Barlow Girl, Superchick, Toby Mac, KJ-52, and A TON of others. I <3 music.
2) Get books published and become a world-wide phenomenon, being prolifically published and still writing books when I'm on my deathbed. ;)
3) Nowhere out of the country, but I've been to Niagra Falls, Washington D.C., Mount Rushmore, Florida (visiting grandparents in the winter), and most recently the Bolivar peninsula in Texas for a mission trip. :)

@ Jasminebells: Yup, lol. XD I'm really liking this site... Like, it's not as professional-looking as the other one, but the people are better I think, and I'm already feeling more comfortable here. ;) Thanks! ^^

@ Antigone Cadmus: Favorite Authors? As with music, pretty much too many to name, but...

Ted Dekker (<3), Frank Peretti, C.S. Luis, Kristin Cashore, Tamora Pierce... Suzanne Collins, Margaret Peterson Haddix... And lots lots more I was too lazy to write down the name of. XD

We've already met and talked. ^^ But I thought I'd come by and say hello!

Hello SP? (May I call you that?)

That was a great introduction! And it's awesome that you're already enjoying it here.

Hope to see you around sometime.

Cheers,
~Lava

P.S. Can I borrow that remote of yours? It would definitely help me with my evil plans.

Hello!

Welcome to YWS, Silentpages! :D Great introduction, by the way... I tend to do the fourth thing on your list.

Anyway (and sorry for the short post), I wish you luck!

~~Bugwhisker

P.S. Are you a Princess Bride fan?

Wheeeee! I read (and critiqued!) one of your stories already! So woot!

Hm. So, we should avoid making you queen, eh?

@ Lava: Sure, you can call me SP! ^^ Can't guarentee I'll always realize you're talking to me though. XD For the longest time my username was 'horse_chic11' EVERYWHERE, just because I'd always used it and it was easy to remember. However, after lots of messages saying 'You love horses?! Me too! We should talk about them!' and me having to explain I'd kind of grown out of that phase... I decided I needed a change. XD So I'm still getting used to this one. ;)

That depends if your evil plans are compatible with my evil plans. For instance, if your evil plans are to mute everyone in the world and my evil plans are to turn the volume up as high as it can go... We would have conflicting evilness. :( PM me, and we can discuss both that and my charges to rent it out. ;)

@ Bugwhisker: YES! I am not alone in my dutiful duty-shirking! >.< And yes, I'm a Princess Bride fan, lol. I've dented a wall quoting that movie. ;) You know, the line, "NEVER GO UP AGAINST A CICILIAN! WHEN DEATH IS ON THE LINE! MWAHAHAHA!! HA HA HA!!! HA-" *slump*. I slumped a little too hard... XD

@ Snoink: XD Lol... I said Queen. I said nothing about Empress. ;) That could be entirely different...

STOP SAYING THAT! (you killed my father)
WELCOME! And HOLA! And all that shtuff.
I think that your plan to take over the world will not work unless you join my people. I have an army of dragon riders waiting to take over, so you might want to join or be eaten by winged reptilian beasts. By the way, they cannot be harmed by your remote! BRU HA HA!
I'm homeschooled too! As in still homeschooled. I'm probably going to go to school for the last two years of highschool, which aren't getting here... tear...
I've never actually tried acting out the scene where Vizzini gets kiiled. Probably a good thing since you dented a wall :D

Ps. You'rea pastor's daughter, former homeschooler, and you like Princess Bride. You arne't by chance a Martin Looper kid, are you?

The dragons might not be affected by the remote, but their RIDERS? Chya. I think so. ;p

BRUHAHA!!! You have no idea what level of awesomeness you have just elevated yourself to. ;)

I had to kind of look that up, and I'm still not entirely sure what they are, but... Um... No? I'm not Lutheran, I'm Reformed! XD And... Yeah, no, I don't think I'm whatever that is. XD

Heh heh, okay then.
You see, the dragon riders are connected to the dragons, and since remotes send out waves to say what they want, then they send waves to people's minds. So, since the dragons and riders are connected, the dragons simply put up a mind block, and WALLAH! Riders not affected by remote. Take THAT! :P
