I love a good fictional character almost as much as I love my mother.
I love to read and I'm obsessed with collecting beautiful words.

Pina Coladas? I like you already. But, more seriously, it's really cool that you are majoring in English. It must be wonderful to always be so close to those beautiful words that you are collecting. I really must read your work eventually, so I'll try to keep a look-out.

However, I do have a few questions.

Are you more interested in poetry or prose? What's your favorite part about writing: the world-building, the plot-making, the character discovering, etc.? Aaand... if you could meet anyone from the past, present, or literary world, who would you meet?

I somtimes do that. I fell alseep ontop of my math homework last night. With my Ipod on. I woke up with a giant notebook binder mark on my face.

Anyway, to answer a few of your questions--

I have no idea what you would call what I write. It's fiction for the most part, but I have been known to jot down my thoughts on random things from God to Pilates. Sometimes what I write comes out a lot like Magic-Realism. A lot like Alice Hoffman, if you know who she is. She wrote Practical Magic and Here on Earth, both amazing books that i would recommend to anyone. In truth I have no allegiance as of now.
As for my favorite quote... I like this one quite a lot for the occasion: "Oh brave new world that has such people in it" - Shakespeare (I have a few bones to pick with him, if i ever meet him.).

I love to read poetry. Some of my fave authors are Adrienne Rich, Sylvia Plath, Emily Dickinson, Allen Ginsberg, and Yeats. I also love Whitman's "The Wound Dresser". It gives me such a deep sense of emotion. Love it.
However, I am not gifted in writing poetry. My first reaction to any poetry I have written is basically this: "I need to burn this as soon as possible." I am proud of one or two poems I have written though. I think I will put one on this site for bettering at some point.
I love the deliberate manipulation of words to communicate. I love that about writing. I also love characters. Whether it's a movie, a book, or a short story the characters have to be believable or the rest is tripe, no matter how beautiful. No body cares unless they have humanity. (This is just my opinion.)
And I would meet Charlotte Bronte or Jane Austen. I would collect as many tips as possible for what makes true romance. I love them both so much! I really can't choose, which is so lame. I'm sorry! ^_^

I fall asleep in my university 101 class all the time. And for some reason it seems to take an abnormally long time for the red smudge on my forehead to recede. Why is that I wonder?

I live in Morgantown, WV. It's not as bad here as people make it out to be, but there is a lot of partying, which can be fun. I'm originally from North Carolina though.
I read everything fiction and thought provoking. I read a lot of poetry. And I suppose you can refer to my response to Lava for what I write. Though I will add that I love Irish mythology and folk lore beyond any other...Even Greek, which usually gets me dirty looks from my professors. I even have a story in the works based upon an old folk story about a kelpie who is trapped by a fair maiden. It's a very rough sketch of an idea, but it has been fun contemplating it.
I love Mozzarella cheese and whatever that strong cheese is that people drink with red wines. Can't think of the name.

I love Emily Dickinson. I can't even talk about her like a rational human being, that's how much I love her poetry. Its complete intellectual honesty and lack of pretension blows me away.
And of course we shall be friends. Otherwise I would be quite a hypocrite because I'm not the most mentally sound of mind either.

Some questions for you guys:
What do you enjoy writing? reading?
What is your favorite fairy tale or folk story or anything of that kind if you hate fairy tales and folk stories?
A favorite author?

I've half-read Practical Magic. I loved it. (Half-read because my library has only one tattered copy in which large clumps of pages are missing.)
But, hey! That's interesting to write.

Well, so as an answer to your questions,
I love them both. Can't live without either of them.
I can never have a solid favourite. It changes from time to time based on my mood. So, currently, a fairy tale I like would be, Snow White.
Theme song: Well, I dunno, but I would like it to 'Life is a Highway' from Cars movie.
