The site looks very interesting and friendly. From what I've seen on the forums, people appear very friendly. I know that some of the features include blogging and writing groups and reviewing. I personally don't think I'm that qualified for reviewing, but so long as I'm honest I assume I shouldn't do bad.
As for details regarding myself:
I like to write and read SF and fantasy. Most of what I've written is scattered in pieces, and embarassing as it is, I don't think I've completed a work since Junior High. I think I can lay that bad habit at rest, but it certainly doesn't help that I write my short-story documents in several seperate journals
I'd like to improve my vocabulary without the task becoming a chore. I frequently encounter words that I'm unacquainted with while I read (well, it seems frequent) and I don't always look them up. I hate being at a loss of words as I write; it's frustrating. I don't know any aspiring writers, but I assume I'll meet some of those here 
Anyway, I don't know what else to say write now. Hopefully I'll stick to my committment and submit some work and participate in the community.
