Darkheart SB

Plot: There is a rumour in the land of Mithrildór, a rumour about one who is dark of heart. A rumour that it's the prince, and it's true. Prince Raisun, also known as Rowan, is one who is dark of heart. A Dúrorë, someone who is born with darkness inside them and slowly consumed by it. There is also a rumour that there is a cure, and another that there isn't. Roawn has heard of these rumours, that there could be a cure. And so, together with Kohar Marrok and Lore, he sets off in search of it.

On his quest, Rowan comes across a neighbouring kingdom. The kingdom is ruled by twins, Princess Althea and Prince Arian. The three develop a close friendship and eventually Althea falls in love with him, dragging Arian with her, for the twins are so closely linked that what one feels, so does the other. Meanwhile, Lore has developed a crush on Rowan and Kohar has fallen for Lore, both unaware of the others intentions.

After the encounter with the twin rulers, Rowan travels North to where the magic wielders live, learn and die. While here, he learns that he is a magic wielder and that he must learn to control that side of him before the Dúrorë part consumes him and then he's told that there isn't a cure, which leads to him shutting out the rest of the world, along with his friends.

Once Rowan learns what he needs to learn, he leaves Curuwen and travels the lands in search of a cure. Will he or won't he find one?

Dúrorë or Darkheart: A Dúrorë, a Darkheart is someone who has darkness inside of them. They are born with it, live with it and are eventually consumed by it. Consumed in Mind, body, heart and soul. Once completely consumed, they are immortal, most are evil and will never give up on destroying the world. They are hell bent on death and destruction. They can rarely, if ever, be saved.

Abilities:

Dúrorë/Darkheart abilities: The abilities of a Darkheart are different to that of a mage. It tends to be darker and lean more towards the destruction of life, rather than preservation. Such abilities include control of shadows/darkness, use of black ‘chi’ (literally the dark energy consuming the Darkheart), manipulation of predators (such a dragons, panthers and carnivorous creatures) and the power to heal or take life. Darkhearts cannot give life, only take. They are also cut off from the elements.

Mages Abilities: The abilities of a Mage are different to that of a Darkheart. While Darkhearts tend to lean more towards the destruction of life, Mage seek to preserve it. Such abilities include the manipulation of plant and animal life/energy, control of light, use of light ‘chi’ (literally the light energy inside of them and the light to a Dúrorë’s darkness), manipulation of the elements and the power to heal and possibly give life (if some of their own life energy is given in return). Mages can us a darker side of their people but then they become something dark, though not a darkheart.

The lands:
Mithrildór: A country that’s full of shining silver cities and dense forests, with a small area of grasslands that lead to the steppes of Avásandor. There is thick forest to the North called the Runewood; this is where Curuwen is hidden.
Spoiler! :
Image

Avásandor: A country that’s full beautiful stone work, huge, sprawling castles, villages and cities, low lying grasslands and huge open steppes. A river cuts Avásandor off from the Runewood to the north; the river leads back into the mountains to this countries west and into the forest, creating a lake in the centre of the Runewood in which resides Curuwen.
Spoiler! :
Image

Curuwen: A small city-country of Mages, magic wielders, in the middle of the Runewood. The mountains of Avásandor curl around the northern edge while inside the forest, Castle Curuwen, sitting on the edge of the lake, lays cloaked in mist and fog. It’s unwise to venture into the Runewood as those who enter rarely leave. It is said that the Runewood eats any who dare enter the forest.

Okay, here's my profile. Will finish soon.

Name: Lore.

Age: 18.

Gender: Female.

Appearance: Lore is tall-ish, about 5'6, with long, dark red hair, tanned skin and grey-green eyes.
Spoiler! :
Image

Alliance: Mithrildór.

Clan/Rank: Darkheart/Thief.

Ability: Shadow manipulation; ability to bend the shadows to ones will, cloak ones self in shadows to hide them; literally disappear into the shadows. Use of black chi; manipulation of the dark energy consuming a Darkheart. Telekinesis; the ability to move objects with ones mind.

Skills: Lore is a fighter, so she's good with a sword, dagger and the bow & arrow. She can ride, can cook, has basic survival skills, she's fast on her feet and very steathly when she wants to be.

Personality: Lore seems timid, kind and naive at first but she's not shy or afraid to speak her mind, even if she in trouble for it. Fierce and loyal, Lore can't stand to see those she cares about hurt or threatened. She's not timid, but she is kind of blunt and sometimes comes off as cold and uncaring. Surprisingly, she does have a fiery temper, but she'll only lose it when she's been pushed too far.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Strengths; her abilities, her stealth. Her knowledge of all things thief-related. Her speed, her ability to use weapons, ride and cook. Weaknesses; Panics when backed into a corner and tends to overreact on rare occasions, such as confronted with past misdeeds, which are many. She also has a fiery temper that can sometimes get out of hand and tends to drop things.

Likes/Dislikes: Likes the dark, the moon and the stars, the sun, cats, weapons, martial arts and shiny things, expensive things and yes, stealing things. She is a thief after all.... Dislikes school, studying, violence, and getting into trouble and/or danger and getting caught (which has happened once or twice), being forced to do anything and monsters.

History: Not much is known about Lore. There are rumours, but no one is sure of what's real and what isn't. Since she was little, Lore has been different. And now she knows why; Lore is a Darkheart, a Dúrorë. Dangerous, to her family and friends. Her village. She was kicked out of her home at a young age, shunned, and then she found her own calling--as a thief. Nowadays, you'll find her with Rowan, the shunned prince of Mithrildór, and Kohar Marrok, an assassin who is also a Darkheart. The trio are in the forests of Mithrildór, heading for the neighbouring country of Avásandor, looking for answers, a cure--if there is one.

Up for love: Yes.

Other: Has a dagger she calls Avása (means shadow).

Character Profile:

Name: Kohar Marrok

Age: (17 or older please) 20

Gender: Male

Appearance: About 6''1' with shaggy black hair that hides a scar on the left side of his face. He has very dark eyes and always looks a little far-off. He also has a double-pierceing in his right ear.
Spoiler! :
Image

Alliance: Mithrildór.

Clan/Rank: Darkheart/Assasin.

Ability: The ability take life: This aids him in assasinations, though he tries not to use it for anything but.
Predator Manipulation: His personal favourite, he controls and comands predators as well as summons them.
Dream Manipulation: He has the ability to manipulate/create dreams and bend them in the direction he wants them to go. It's easier for him to create nightmares, and this is usually what he does. Uses it to get messages across.

Skills: Kohar is an exellent swordsman and very skilled with daggars. He isn't too bad with a bow and arrow, though it isn't his strong suit. He's very stealthy and light on his feet, a good climber and usually a quick thinker.

Personality: Kohar can be very dry and sarcastic, though he is very honest. He doesn't usually speak unless spoken to, and if you've interupted his train of thought, don't expect much of an engaging conversation. He is cold and outlandish to everybody but his friends, and doens't make new ones easily. (Suprise surprise) He is usually open around Lore and Rowan, though he does still have quite a few secrets.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Strengths: He is very observant and always finds something to think about. He tends to make the simple and plain things in life seem extravegant and finds use for anything he comes into contact with. In other words, he's resourceful. Weaknesses: He doesn't know when enough is enough and can take things way overboard and has a tendancy to take things the wrong way. He can't stay confined into a small area for too long, or he will panic. Missing his ring-finger on his right hand, though he doesn't know what happened. If he's tired (which is often), he can't think, has a bad attitude and has a tendancy to run into things.

Likes/Dislikes: Likes: The forest, the night, things that smell earthy, thunder storms, lightning, cherries, sunset/rise, fire, music, raiding the homes of his victims (such fun) and staying up excessively late and/or getting up excessively early, anything carniverous and snakes. Dislikes: When people pry at him, when people ask too many questions, having his sleep interupted, too much optimism, when he has to kill without being given a reason, being uninformed, losing.

History: He keeps his history a close secret, and nobody knows much about where he came from. He lived with his mother and father until he was seven, when his father murdered his mother and older sister Marrea right in front of him. He had tried to kill Kohar as well, but he escaped with the help of his mother's brother, his Uncle Jerathin.
Jerathin was also an assassin, though he treated Kohar like a son and taught him everything he knows. His father managed to get ahold of Jerathin when Kohar was 16 and brutally murdered him as well. Kohar managed to avenge his mother, sister and uncle's deaths and killed his father only days later.
There's a lot intertwined into his past, but he keeps everything a secret.

Up for love: Yes

Other: He has a tendancy to clasp his hands together and rub his thumbs along the palms of his hands when he's either deep in thought or unnerved.
Cherries are his absolute favourite food and he always seems to have a handful of them.
He also has his uncle's earing, and he never, ever takes it out.

Name: Taroth "Tarr"

Age: 20

Gender: Male

Appearance: He has long black hair that reaches the base of his neck and tanned skin. His eyes are light golden color with a dark brown rim around the edge. He's six foot two and has a well built body. He wears an open blazer, black jeans, and leather boots. He also has a black, grey-trimmed, wide brim fedora.
Spoiler! :
Image

Alliance: Mithrildór

Clan/Rank: Darkheart. Theif.

Ability: Control of shadows/darkness: This really helps when he's trying to be sneaky or when he's hiding from guards.
Use of black chi: His favorite power so far. He can do most anything with his chi.
Manipulation of predators: It always helps to have a predator on your side.

Skills: He works well with his bow and arrow, he fashions his bows out of his chi, and also keeps a dagger strapped to each leg. His strongest point is stealth, he can move around unnoticed to even the most highly trained eye or ear.

Personality: He likes to smile and joke around, but he's the only one that gets his jokes. He often speaks in riddles and rhymes just to amuse himself. He's always sneaking around, manipulating the shadows and using them as his cover. Sometimes he's there and you won't even know it. He's silent when you want him to speak and talking to much when you just want him to shut up. Some call him crazy, others call him creepy. Truth is, he's both of those at the same time. Though he may act like like a nuisance, he will still do anything to protect the people he's come close to.
He's like an older brother, annoying but still great to have on your side when things get caught up. He won't give you the answer to the riddles, but there will be plenty of hints along the way, and when you finally find the answer, it will be the journey getting there that was most important.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Strength: Stealth and the use of his bow and arrow. He can also talk his way out of a lot of things. He's a very good liar. Weaknesses: He doesn't fair that well if his resources are cut off. If it's to bright, or his bow is taken away. He's also not that well at hand to hand combat. He needs some type of weapon to fight effectively.

Likes/Dislikes: Likes: When things are darker outside and finding new ways to manipulate his chi. Roses, rivers, mountains, high trees, and lakes. Most things having to do with nature. Beelzebub, his pet. Animals, but only the carnivorous ones. When people are confused by his rhymes. When people figure out his rhymes. Dislikes: The sun. Being called a creep.

History: He was born in a small town in Mithrildór, but was born an orphan. Ever since he was small, he's been learning to survive on his own, stealing when he needed food, taking clothes from the local markets when his got tattered, and breaking into houses and residing in the basement when he was too weary to sleep on the street. He's always known that he was special and stronger than most. Learning at a very young age the powers he possessed. He's always been okay with this, encouraging it even. He enjoys learning new things about the skills and abilities he has, pushing himself powers to new limits. One day, while preparing to take a few raw meats to feed Bee, he overheard a few old men gossiping about a man with dark powers trying to find a cure. The words the spoke about this strange man named Rowan sounded a lot like Tarr himself. He heard that the power could consume you and, though he loved his abilities, he didn't want to be overpowered by anything. Knowing this, he packed a few weeks food, put Beelzebub on a leash, and set out to find this strange man.

Up for love: Yes.

Other: He has a black panther that he sort of keeps as a pet, but it's only a small cub. At the age of eighteen while in the forest one night, he took it away from it's mum while she was gone. He's been training it to follow him and obey him ever since then. It also doesn't hurt that he has control over these types of animals. He named it Beelzebub, the name of Satan's half-brother. It's nickname is Bee.
Spoiler! :

I guess I will claim Arian.
Name: Arian

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Appearance: Dark hair that only reaches to shoulders, tan skin, brown eyes, and he usually has a frown on his face. He wears black pants, black tunic, and black belt. Has a scar on his right shoulder where a sword cut him during practice.

Alliance:Avásandor

Clan/Rank: Prince

Skills: Arian can is a small time mage. His main skill is in Fire Magic. His sisters skills is healing magic. Arian is also skilled with short swords and archery.

Personality: Is the polar opposite of his twin in personality. He is cold and tends to be blunt even though it would hurt someone's feelings, is usually quiet, and unresponsive. He is not a bad person, but his humor and personality tend to lean on the darker side. (In other words, Arian and Althea, are Yin and Yang.)

Strength/Weaknesses: (Strength) Can hit a target with an arrow at over 100 yards away (or 91.5 meters), has confidence in himself and his abilities, and is swift. (Weaknesses)The connection to his twin is a major one. Whenever she's in a lot of pain, he can feel it as well which would render him almost useless in a fight.

History: Grew up with a caring family, but the only person he feels close to is his sister. They are so close they can feel each others emotions. They feel each others pain both physically and mentally. Arian and Althea have been known to finish each others sentences when around each other.

Likes/Dislikes: (Likes) To sword fight, practice archery, and adventure. (Dislikes) People who show weakness and when his twin is attracted to a boy.

Other: Since the link connects them both emotionally, their own personal sexual feelings are slightly confusing to them. Though Arian would say he was heterosexual in public, whenever his sister feels attracted to a guy, so does he. The same also goes for his sister: If he is attracted toward a girl, so is she.

Up for love: Not really, but has been known to go out with an attractive girl to get back at his twin when she gets attracted to a boy.

Name: Neela

Age: 32

Gender: Female

Appearance:
Elegant and charming, Neela moves with a dancer's grace and a predator's confident purpose. Neither short nor tall, lithe and deceptively delicate-looking: she wouldn't stand out in a crowd, were it not for the strange light behind her gray eyes, or the tiny mocking twist of her lips.
Spoiler! :
Image

Alliance: Originally Avasandor, now Salome

Clan/Rank: Darkheart, SiC to Salome

Ability: Predator control, with a marked affinity with dragons, to the point of nearly understanding them; control of fire, as long as it comes from an existing source; healing.

Skills: Neela has long mastered the art of assassination and swift kills through proper use of stiletto knives and garottes, but her swordsmanship is not be looked down on either. A good knowledge of poisons and healing plants add to the list. Due to both her childhood upbringing and her time spent under Salome's wing, she's adept at navigating court intrigues and charming people into cooperation.

Personality: In spite, or because, of the darkness that roils in her, Neela is a very affectionate person to those she is close to--namely, Salome. Playful both at home and in battle, though in the latter case it is the sort of sadistic joy a cat may find toying with a mouse. She is focused on her objectives, dislikes messy jobs and values efficiency. Not afraid to use her charm and/or body to get what she wants. She doesn't shy at killing or torture, though she finds the latter rather messy, and so would rather keep her hands clean. If ordered to she'll do it though, and then woe be the poor victim of her attentions.

Strengths/Weaknesses:
Efficiency, charm and charisma: those are Neela's three main strength, supported by unshakeable loyalty and devotion, as well as a lack of morals that would stop her from accomplishing certain tasks. She does err through pushing the mindgames a bit too far and being too cautious.

Likes/Dislikes: Neela likes a quantity of things, not the least of which is Salome and her beloved dragon Kamesh. She is also quite fond of cats, proper clothing, assassination and music. She is much less tolerant of loud people, ignoramuses and most men, as well as being touched by people she doesn't know or when not expecting it.

History: Third daughter to a minor noble house, Neela had little to no chance of benefitting her father's standing through a good marriage. Getting rid of her would have been frowned upon as well, so he went for the option that'd make her the most useful while also making sure she wouldn't be at his charge for too long: raise her as a courtesan, teaching her how to do anything from smiling prettily to holding intelligent conversation to dancing, as long as it pleased the men she'd be asked to entertain, and to listen to what she heard then while she was at it, for people oft forgot themselves when they thought themselves surrounded by no one but demure, charming young girls. She made her debut at the Avasandr court as soon as she was twelve, at first just small gatherings where she was introduced to the first few nobles, then progressively bigger until she was deemed enough to entertain at one of the great parties.

It would have gone on for years, probably, were it not for the simple fact that the young then-duchess Salome happened to lay her eyes on her, and very promptly--and brutally--took her away from it, to little complaints from the girl, half-terrified and half-awed as she was.

The following days lay most of her fears at rest, and by the time a couple of months had passed surely there was no one in the world more devoted to Salome than Neela. She took to serving her with complete trust and abandon, going where she went and learning whatever it was she was taught, and going out of her way to be as useful to her as humanly possible. The darkness slowly growing in her resonated with the one in Salome, and it grew under hers as well, twisted like a vine around the stronger branch of her lady's own darkness.

It's been nineteen years now, and all that's changed is that she no longer needs any protecting, nor taking away from other's sight. It's her turn to play now, and if it allows her to repay, if only a little, of her unending debt towards Salome, then for the better.

Up for love: Sure?

Other: Has raised Kamesh from the egg to adulthood: it's large enough to be used as a mount, for travel or combat.

Character Profile:

Name: Salome

Age: 46

Gender: Female

Appearance:

Salome is gorgeous in an exotic way. Skin the color of honey, full lips, dark hair that falls in loose curls and doe eyes - she doesn't look as if she comes from any lands nearby. She's elegant, standing tall and long-legged. Her posture is infallible, and she holds herself with a propriety you won't find in other women. Unlike other darkhearts, she didn't stay with a young, teenage body, opting instead for a woman's figure and a more mature, seductive appearance. There is a practiced grace to her movements, and she takes care of her appearance.

Spoiler! :

Alliance: Alliance? She used to be loyal, but right now...well, she prefers the term associate better. Avasandor, if you must know.

Clan/Rank: Darkheart Noble

Ability:

-Illusory powers
-Predator Control
-Necromancy

Skills:

Salome is attuned to the nuances in politics, and is well-versed in the art of war. She may not be able to handle weapons, but she has a green thumb, and knows almost everything about plants, trees, herbs and poisons, a passion she shares with her second-in-command, Neela. Although not as well-versed as Neela in the field of weaponry, Salome can turn ordinary objects into deadly weapons, as well as being inclined to alchemy and explosives. The hairpin she wears? Yeah, she can kill you with that if you slip up.

Personality:

The bottomline: she's insane.

Now, to elaborate.

Salome is very ambitious, hungry for power and knowledge, and achievement-oriented. She believes she is doing everything for the greater good, although that's the darkness in her speaking. She's vindictive and sacrificial above all else. She is not averse to any method so long as she gets what she wants. She can get obsessive at times, and she is prone to lying and deceit. She adores knowledge of all kinds, but sometimes she gets stuck in the details. She's attentive, but often she reads into things that aren't there. She's offended very easily and it's not difficult to hurt her with words, and she turns insanely cruel when she perceives someone as a threat/enemy.

Despite all that, however, Salome has not forgotten the how she truly was before the darkness took over, and she is fiercely protective of underdogs, servants, and peasants, and everything she does is for their benefit. She's also quite easy-going, the kind of lady who isn't surprised by misfortune thrown by the heaven. She takes problems as they come and has a taste for risks.

Strengths:

Salome is brilliant as a tactician and an influential speaker. She's intuitive and can pick up on things quite easily, and is an intelligent girl. She's also as resourceful as she is immoral. Limitations? What limitations?

Weaknesses:

As mentioned before, Salome is unstable and is often hungry for success. She can get stubborn and irrational, and has a good attitude towards sacrificing people for the sake of her goals, which wouldn't be all that bad if she didn't view herself as a viable sacrifice as well. She often pushes herself too hard.

Likes/Dislikes:

Salome likes politicians/nobles, particularly those of the opposite sex, because she knows she can pressure them into doing things. She adores the lower class (but not the middle one), and will lash out viciously against anyone who tries to harm them. She has a pet chimera called Basil, of whom she's very fond.

Meet Basil! He's adorable.

Spoiler! :
Image

This picture is of Basil, although the tail doesn't quite fit. Basil's tail is a hybrid between an anaconda and a king cobra, make of it what you will.

Salome dislikes the middle class and merchants with a passion, and has no taste for most other dark hearts, the exception being Neela, whom she views as her only family member left. She cannot tolerate inefficiency and rudeness, as well as nobles/princes who lack wit/education. She particularly hates people who do not use their resources to their advantage. She's also extremely afraid of death and is intimidated by soldiers.

History:

Salome was born to a peasant's wife, although she's not his son. Her mother was brutally gang raped by enemy soldiers while out near the border, harvesting corn for the landlord. This accounts for Salome's foreign looks. Her parents, however, did not treat her any differently from their own children, and the secret of Salome's parentage was kept for as long as possible. Of course, as she grew up, it was fairly obvious she was not her father's daughter, but no one spoke a word. Her parents took great care to always hide her when soldiers came around, so that they wouldn't take her as a present for the rulers. Almost all peasants did this, but it didn't eliminate the fear of one day getting caught.

Her violent conception has been blamed by her enemies as the root of her darkness, but no one can know for sure. Some people blame her father's line, but then again, who exactly is her father?

Salome noticed the eyes of the village alchemist on her, and it did not take long for her to convince him to help her in her studies. She grew skilled with alchemy and the business of chemicals, but this also allowed for the darkness in her to foster. This was back when Salome was extremely and fiercely loyal, and those traits didn't help her back then. Her eagerness to help her aging master find the formula for eternal youth was boundless, and alchemy, being obsessed with that too, only helped the darkness take over easily. In her naivety, she was also tricked by merchants into buying so-called elixirs repeatedly.

Her master didn't live to see Salome become a darkheart, luckily.

A fifteen-year-old Salome eventually married a noble's son amidst controversy, but her brilliance helped her husband climb the social ladder. His marriage was hailed as a good move by his family, until he died shortly after his coronation as archduke. No one but Salome's sister-in-law suspected foul play, as the widow played her part very well. She grieved for months before finally coming out as Archduchess and severely opposing laws that would hurt the lower classes. She harbored an obvious disdain for merchants and so did not get along with them (in fact, she still doesn't).

There were whispers of her being behind the bombings of merchants' homes and parties, but nothing was ever proven against her, and her charm proved a good enough defense against the baseless accusations being flung at her. Two of her siblings have married merchants, and their relationship with Salome soured quickly. They love their sister dearly despite knowing her true origins, and they blame her sister's immoral beginning, like all her enemies do, for her insanity.

Salome can only do so much, however, and is bent on taking over the world so she could abolish classes altogether - which wouldn't be a bad goal, except she's intent on doing it by killing every merchant alive, followed by the nobles and upperclassmen. If it comes right down to it, she is willing to kill herself as well, so long as there is absolute equality afterwards. She doesn't believe that the world would descend into hell if there are no more governments, and instead blindly trusts in the lower classes.

About Neela and Salome:

Salome had always been barren. People who knew her real origins blamed it on that too. She'd always wanted a child, and her mother, having been scarred after the rape, refused to have any more children (but understand that she did not blame it on Salome) for Salome to baby.

Nineteen years ago, Salome was yet a duchess, close to her current position but not quite there yet. She was invited to all the parties and masquerades, and she always attended without fail, to garner support for herself and her husband. She met Neela at a Marquis' party.

Many versions had been passed around, but the bottom line is that Salome had expected entertainment, only to find a young thirteen-year-old, dressed in thin gauze that only barely covered her, when the curtains lifted. Salome always had a soft spot for the lesser classes, and she did not forget when several girls from their village were taken by abusive rulers, who made them into concubines. Enraged didn't quite cut it - Salome immediately threw a fit, destroying all the breakables and upturning tables in her rage. She did not pause to think, and no one could placate her. The lower nobles were frightened out of their wits at having offended her, since there were rumors of her affair with the king. Salome dragged Neela out of the party while everyone cowered amidst broken porcelain.

Salome treated Neela kindly, and argued when her husband referred to Neela as a servant (but then again, she did this when her husband referred to anyone as a servant). She was famously rumored to have paid for the assassination of someone who disrespected Neela.

Her husband put up with Salome's insistence of quality lives for the servants and of good quarters for them, as well as fair wages, but he drew the line when Salome tried to have them live in the same house. Neela, however, was an exception, and Salome argued that she was afraid Neela would hurt herself for shame, or maybe commit suicide. For this reason Neela was allowed to stay in the house and keep Salome company. Salome doted on Neela plenty, going as far as to personally take care of the girl when she was sick.

This has forged a powerful bond between the two, and it's a very powerful platonic relationship.

The incident between Neela and Salome also delayed the latter's rise to archduchess, as she had to wait for the outcry of the lesser nobles to die down (which took a year or so of illusions, manipulations and assassinations) before she pitched her husband to the king as grand duke.

Up for love: Seriously? :/ You could try?

Other:

Basil, my friends, is not a tiny creature. He is at least five storeys tall, and as such is a very, very difficult creature when he's upset. Salome found him injured while he was yet a child. Chimeras are rare, and they can breathe fire.
"The moral of this story, is that if I cause a stranger to choke to death for my amusement, what do you think I’ll do to you if you don’t tell me who ordered you to kill Colosimo?“

Character Profile:

Name: Riali Amazide

Age: 20

Gender: Male

Appearance: One of his most striking features is his impractically long hair, and whilst it is most often tied up into elaborate stylings, at it's longest it falls to beyond waist length. He maintains that having such long hair is incredibly manly, and gets quite offended at the suggestion that it makes him appear feminine. He's above average height and has a fairly slender build, with blue eyes and pale-ish skin.
Spoiler! :
Image
Yes, I know this is a picture of a woman. It's what he looks like, okay.

Alliance: Avásandor

Clan/Rank: Mage + Advisor to Althea and Arian

Ability: - Healing ability
- Can create smallish balls of light
- Use of light chi
- Some air and water manipulation

Skills: He's pretty good at planning and thinking things through to find solutions to conflicts.

Personality: He's had to work for his position, and it shows. Whilst being outwardly calm and polite, underneath he is constantly attempting to win others over through subtle manipulation - a tactic he's had to resort to in order to survive the aristocracy. He's good at reading people, though he gets easily un-nerved by unstable, unpredictable people who he can't read.
He's fairly untrustworthy and distrustful from a lifetime of being in an environment where the only purpose of friendships is to further oneself, and would probably struggle to make friends in a different environment, or to even understand the concept of true friendship.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Strengths- Born as an upper-class mage, he's used to manipulating the political minefield of the Avásandorian aristocracy and is good at persuading others to his viewpoint. He's got sound reasoning and can defend himself fairly well in a fight. | Weaknesses - As much as he'd like to consider himself a super impartial, level-headed person, he still carries the same prejudices against Darkhearts as everyone else, however much he might attempt to counter it. He doesn't have a lot of practical skills (ie. cooking, hand to hand combat, stealth etc.)

Likes/Dislikes: Likes - Riali is unwavering loyal to the royal family, and whilst he may still seek to influence and advise the twins, he will continue to outwardly support their decisions regardless of whether they conflict with his advice. He gets on well with animals.

Dislikes - He has an inbred fear/dislike of Darkhearts and other people who fit into hi category of unpredictable and/or confusing. He doesn't like physical fighting, and children irritate him.

History: As part of the aristocracy, he's had to strive to keep his family in the spotlight throughout his life, always aiming for the position in court that would guarantee it's continued security. From a young age he was frequently exposed to the twin heirs in order to gain royal favour, and was taught to raise his family's profile at any expense, especially that of the other aristocrats.
By the time that the twins became joint rulers, the Amazide family was one of the strongest in the kingdom, and Riali was appointed as one of their advisors.

Up for love: Yes

EDIT: changed the gender :)

Okay. There are several spots left to claim. Some are preset Rowan, Alecto and Bailey (the last three preset spots, in fact). Once Rowan is claimed, we'll start.

Also. Rowan is now free to be claimed. And I want his profile PM'd. So far, all profiles apart from Jo's and Raz's are approved. Raz, I did say I needed a dress that wasn't quiet so modern and Jo? Kind of obvious. Please hurry up and finish that profile.

And you guys must remember to use the DT. I do not want to see an Out Of Character post asking for your character to be brought in. That's what the DT is for.

Name: Briar

Age: (17 or older please) 23

Gender: Female

Appearance: Briar has brilliant red hair, and green eyes (a little brighter than in the shown picture). Her features are edgy, adding a fierceness to her character. She stand about 5'5"
Spoiler! :
Image

Alliance: Curuwen

Clan/Rank:Mage/Rank unknown (taken from true parents at a young age)...perhaps a Runaway.

Ability:-Can heal minor cuts
-Ability to manipulate fire with ease
-Ability to produce a faint light (just enough to see at night or in darkness)

Skills: Briar has a simply longbow which she uses only when greatly needed (self-defense, dire need of food) and can track people if needed.
Spoiler! :
Image

Personality:Briar has a fiery disposition, and speaks for what she believes in. With her temperament, Briar is usually found in tough situations, and most always narrowly escapes imprisonment. Briar prefers to be work alone, and if she has to work with others, demands to lead. Briar usually looks at the negative side of things (pretty much looking at the problem rather than the solution). She is rather inquisitive and is forever trying to hunt down information about her birth parents. Briar shows to be strong and when she is mourning she is exceptionally cold.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Briar is very strong in using the element of fire, but is unable to manipulate any other element (air, earth, water). Briar is very good, though, at tracking people down, but inefficient at hiding her tracks/marks. Her combat skills are limited as she finds it awkward to handle a sword/dagger and is mediocre at her longbow.

Likes/Dislikes:Briar loves fire, the day, anything that brings light to the world. She finds herself most comfortable in forests (though not like the one(s) in Mithrildor) or in the castle at Curuwen. Briar dislikes most the darkness, and when fire gets out of hand. She hates busy places (like in Avasandor) and bothersome, nagging folk.

History:Briar's childhood history is an enigma even to herself. Briar vaguely remembers a mother and father figure, but she was taken away for mysterious reasons at the age of two or three. She lived until she was nine with two people who were always clad in black robes, and on her ninth birthday ran away and found herself at the base of Curuwen castle. She was taken in by two kind-hearted mages and taught her all they knew, which did consist of the other elemental substances, but Briar soon found out she was useless at them and focused on the manipulation of fire and healing skills, though never really succeeding at healing. Her aopted parents died when she was seventeen and has been on her own ever since.

Up for love: Yes

Other: Briar has a leather bracelet on her left wrist that was given to her by her mage "parents". The bracelet has "evil eye" charms that supposedly protect her from dark spirits. The bracelet looks like multiple bracelets but in fact is actually one:

Do we have to wait for Rowan to be taken? Couldn't he just be an unplayed character?

Also, I changed the gender of my character to help the ratio out a bit :)

Jack: "I love those moments. I like to wave at them as they pass by."
