Boo!

I'm fanmixing it up again. This time it is for Suzanne's NaNo Novel Death Machine. Go read it, I think she still has a link in her signature. Basically, it is the same setup as all the rest of my fanmixes. You can either download the full zip of the sides or download each song individually.

[ZIP: Side A]

1. Everybody Loves You Now by Billy Joel [mediafire link]
You can walk away from your mistakes
You can turn your back on what you do
Just a little smile is all it takes
And you can have your cake and eat it too
Loneliness will get to you somehow
But ev'rybody loves you now

See how all the people gather 'round
Hey, isn't it a thrill to see them all crawl
Keep your eyes ahead and don't look down
Yeah, and lock yourself inside your sacred wall
This is what you wanted, ain't you proud
'Cause ev'rybody loves you now

A song for Armin.

2. An Ordinary Guy? from Night At the Museum [mediafire link]
[Instrumental]

A song for Armin.

3. Bei Mir Bist du Schön by The Puppini Sisters [mediafire link]
You're really swell, I have to admit you
These are the expressions that really fit you.
And, so, I've racked my brain, hoping to explain
All the things that you do to me.

This song, I love, and mainly picked because it coincided with time period.

4. House of the Rising Sun by The Animals [mediafire link]
Oh mother, tell your children,
Not to do what I have done.
Spend your lives in sin and misery
In the house of the Rising Sun.

Song for Nazis.

5. A Well Respected Man by The Kinks [mediafire link]
And he's oh, so good,
And he's oh, so fine,
And he's oh, so healthy,
In his body and his mind.
He's a well-respected man about town,
Doing the best things so conservatively.

A song for Armin.

6. Another Wasted Night by Bishop Allen [mediafire link]
Well, you're up all night
Praying for a little salvation
But I'm restless and my feet they want to walk
Here's something you can do
If you want to try something new:
Come along with me, and we'll wander off a wasted night

A song for Armin and Hedwig.

7. MX Missiles by Andrew Bird [mediafire link]
I thought you were a life-sized paper doll
propped up in the hardware store
propped up on the front lawn watching the parade
of those legionnaires with two-by-four's
as they're marching off to war
yeah they're marching off to war

8. Culling of the Fold by The Decemberists [mediafire link]
Cut him up, boy
You got to cut him up, boy
He’s a wicked disgrace
And he said it to your face
You better cut him up, boy

A song for Ludger.

9. Links 234 by Rammstein [mediafire link]
Kann man Herzen brechen
können Herzen sprechen
kann man Herzen quälen
kann man Herzen stehlen

English Translation
Can you break hearts?
Can hearts speak?
Can you torture hearts?
Can you steal hearts?

10. Peacocks by The Mountain Goats [mediafire link]
We both hit the deck
Hands grasping and groping
Seizing opportunity
Right where it lies
The sky will fall
We will rise

11. The Fallen by Franz Ferdinand [mediafire link]
Some say you're trouble, boy
Just because you like to destroy
All the things that bring the idiots joy
Well, what's wrong with a little destruction?

A song for Armin, Ludger and the gang.

12. Burn Your Life Down by Tegan and Sara [mediafire link]
Tell me that you know another way to get it done
It's not me, or how I would be, but it's a different situation
You lay awake in the night just staring at the ceiling above
Pulling pieces of it out, it's such a waste of time

A song for Armin.

13. Psycho by Andre Williams & The Sadies [mediafire link]
You think I'm psycho don't you mama
I didn't mean to break your cup
You think I'm psycho don't you mama
You better let 'em lock me up

Another song for Ludger and the gang.

14. Open Your Eyes by Snow Patrol [mediafire link]
Tell me that you'll open your eyes

A song for Armin.

15. No Birds Today by Cowboy Junkies [mediafire link]
No words today
No one knocking at the gate
I lost my name long before I lost my way

16. Caterpillar Girl by Lou Barlow [mediafire link]
Hit me like a kick to a thickening gut
The beat has gone beaten me up
No one's gonna lift me out of this rut
The groove has gone ground me to dust

A song for Armin.

Side B

[ZIP: Side B]

1. Sleep Through The Static by Jack Johnson [mediafire link]
Just cash in your blanks for little toy tanks
Learn how to use them, then abuse them and choose them
Over conversations relationships are overrated
"I hated everyone" said the sun

And so I will cook all your books
You're too good looking and mistooken
You could watch it instead
From the comfort of your burning beds
…Or you can sleep through the static

Who needs sleep when we've got love?
Who needs keys when we've got clubs?
Who needs please when we've got guns?
Who needs peace when we've gone above
But beyond where we should have gone?
We went beyond where we should have gone

2. Tier by Rammstein [mediafire link]
Was macht ein Mann
was macht ein Mann
der zwischen Mensch und Tier
nicht unterscheiden kann

English Translation
What does a man do?
What does a man do?
Who can't tell the difference
between human and animal?

3. War Song Medley: Roses of Picardy/Lili Marlene/We'll Meet Again by John McDermott [mediafire link]
Underneath the lantern,
By the barrack gate
Darling I remember
The way you used to wait
T'was there that you whispered tenderly,
That you loved me,
You'd always be,
My Lilli of the Lamplight,
My own Lili Marlene

Lilli Marlene is a German marching song. I thought it fit rather well.

4. Hope on Fire by Vienna Teng [mediafire link]
gotta move gotta choose
you've got a difference to make
don't watch it happen again
gotta change rearrange
something's bending to break
it's just a matter of when

5. Dirty Knife by Neko Case [mediafire link]
Blood runs crazy
Blood runs crazy

6. Miette by DeVotchKa [mediafire link]
[Instrumental]

7. DecemberSunlight by The The [mediafire link]
You can scream into your pillow
You can pray into the night
But you can't switch off your feelings
Like you'd switch out a light

A song for Armin.

8. Sway by The Perishers [mediafire link]
I talk to you as to a friend
I hope that’s what you’ve
come to be
It feels as though we’ve
made amends

A song for Armin and Hedwig.

9. Tears Dry On Their Own by Amy Winehouse [mediafire link]
All I can ever be to you,
Is a darkness that we knew,
And this regret I had to get accustomed to,
Once it was so right

10. My Sweet Prince by Placebo [mediafire link]
Never thought I'd have to retire
Never thought I'd have to abstain
Never thought all this could back fire
Close up the hole in my vein

A song for Armin.

11. Nothing at All by Rob Dougan [mediafire link]
I don't know how long we've got left
and so I'm asking you
to forgive me.

A song for Armin.

12. Smoke by Ben Folds Five [mediafire link]
All of the grief we never even knew
we had it all along.
Now, it's smoke.

13. Empire of My Mind by The Wallflowers [mediafire link]
Well, there is trouble in my mind
There is dark
There’s dark, and there is light
I lay our hands over my eyes
As I look deep
Through valleys deep and wide
Across the border line
For the empire in my mind

A song for Armin.

14. Sleep by Imogen Heap [mediafire link]
How can it feel so nice?
Why does it feel so right?

15. Fiery Crash by Andrew Bird [mediafire link]
To save all our lives you've got to envision
the fiery crash.
It's just a formality
why must I explain?
Just a nod to mortality
before you get on.

16. Nana de Mercedes by Javier Navarrate [mediafire link]
[Instrumental]

A lullaby for all.

Enjoy! If you have any questions please tell me.

Ohmigosh.

I want to cry looking at the lyrics. It's so fitting. And so sad. You really don't know. Smoke? That's a really huge theme, haha. This is so so so beyond fitting. Thank you so much Cal...I'm really excited now! I have music to edit to! *squeel*

Those are really great. I'll listen to it soon. :) I'm currently in mode for a short story I'm working on--it's about time I stop thinking of Nazis.
