Why do you like to write?

Hello everyone, the title pretty much speaks for itself. I personally know why I write, I'm just curious to see what your reason is. For me, my love for writing shows most through the editing process. I LOVE editing. It's what makes a story/poem become what it's meant to be. When you see the final product, all the time you spent writing seems worthwhile. Any thoughts? Why do YOU like to write?

I just really like weaving my own stories and plots and creating my own worlds! I especially love it when it just pours out into something wonderful or I get a great idea I just HAVE to write!
