Half Life

After hours of getting it to work it finally started up. I worked through a few levels and I think the game is pretty awesome. it combines plot with decent graphics and gameplay.

So, any one else a half life fan?

I didn't like HL1 because it was too damn hard for me...But I loved HL2.

This is Numero Uno we're talking about here, my friend.

I went to PC World yesterday. Felt like buying a game, and narrowed my choices down to Doom 3 or Half Life 2. I choose Doom 3, simply cos the idea of combining Mars with demons appealed to me.

I want to get the patch for I think its HL2 that lets you play as either Israelis or Palestinians in the intifada/terrorism war. It looks really cool.

Nah, it was a pretty solid shooter. Great graphics and physics engine. Although it lacked multiplayer or Live capabilities, single player was hella fun.

I prefer PC, for no other reason than mods and console hacking.

Who needs a story?
Its a video game, not a novel. If I listen to the story bit, its only once, on the first run through. Beyond that, who cares? Stories get in the way of killing.

Half Life 2.

Half Life 2 is amazing, the plot and storyline is excellent, I love how the game involves uyu to think a little as well in order to overcome obsticles. Its not just the simple point and shoot crap.

Halo is terrible, it was rushed onto the PC - graphics were terrible and playability was terrible. I didnt like Halo for PC at all.

As for X-Box, I cant play fps' on them. PCs are the king of fps' not consoles.

Half Life has won loads of "game of the years" as well, where as halo hasnt really won anything for PC.

Halo for Xbox pwns Halo for PC any day.

Halo pwns half life, because Halo uses an actual solder, and we aren't expected to believe that some doctor is doing all this.

So what? Thats about the only positive thing halo has to offer. Half Lifehas a much better story line.

Also HL2 required you to think, oit isnt just siple point and shoot.
