Lord Larinian

This here is the main antagonist of the fire princess. i have had the image of him in my mind for ages but only decided to draw him yesterday.

he became Lord of Arzuria after assassinating the king due to his misleading of the second war of Danalavonia
he vowed to protect his country from the sun child if they returned and of course eventually they did.

this man may not have any unique abilties, but what he lacks in that respect he makes up for in leadership, authority, influence, fear and strength.

(note the 'cleaves of arnur' on his shoulder blades; they are the realm emblem of Arzuria, the crest of the lords of old who served under the kings of the days gone by)

the edges are a little rough but thats because i just filled it in black with a paint bucket tool on ms paint

Thats really cool:) And you've seemed to put a lot of thought in to the story and his history. Welldone.
I try to draw my characters, but they never seem to come out right.. I guess I dont have their face in my head yet.

Do you find this helps with your writing? It looks impressive.

Yeah, i do find that it helps. i can visualise who the character is by trying to draw how they look and what they wear gives me an idea of the culture. i also find it helps to draw maps and buildings for cultural representations and to know where my characters are going. i may even do a cartography tutorial soon (map making) as i find it really helps.
