Well now, this is my third attempt at a Storybook and I like to think I've learned something. This will be much more flexible than the other two, but I'm still going to be calling the shots. I hope.

For thousands of years, humans have been disappearing through wormholes in space. They re-appear, disorientated and scared, in the Arogonal Sea. The native Angrals, smaller than humans and descended from reptiles, originally welcomed these strange creatures who appeared in their world. However, while most humans established themselves peacefully in coastal settlements, living in harmony and trading with the Angrals, some humans have inevitably kept their seafaring roots and taken up piracy. The Angrals have responded by hunting down these lawless invaders. Although not as aggressive or even as large as humans, they have one distinct advantage. Magic.
The Angrals have access to parts of their brains long locked off to humans and can summon up the energy that is produced by all living things, converting it to do with it whatever they want. It is not a common talent and of those that do have it, few ever become proficient. But for some, it could just be enough to remove the pirates.

You can choose to be either one of the three Angral Noblefarers (Equivalent to Captain) tasked with destroying the pirates, or as a pirate captain.

Age (Angrals live up to 120 years, reaching maturity at 22):
Appearance (Think 3ft high, green humanoid lizards. Feel free to customise. Fins, claws, spines. Think reptilian.):
History (Go wild. Where were they born, what happened, anything major that happened):
Personality:
Other:

Human/Angral Pirates (Humans can come from any period of history. I want to see Egyptian War-galleys, Greek Triremes, Somalian fishing boats, Barbary Corsairs etc. If they floated and could be pirates, I want to see them as pirates. But be reasonable, you're not going to have a nuclear submarine cruising around for booty. Angrals would be in their native Jiralhana boats, sail powered and long and thin. Think a cross between Viking longboats and Arabic Dhows.)

The Arogonal Sea is inhabited not only by the Angrals, but by all manner of sea creatures. Krakens, Leviathans, Sea-dragons, Sea-serpents etc. etc. Magical demons sleep in it's depths, not to be woken for anything.

Basically, you can do what you want. Cruise around boarding merchant ships, raid fishing settlements, set-up a fort on some island, try and raise a big enough fleet to assault the Angral capital, whatever you want to do. Go nuts.

Angral Noblefarer

Name: Noblefarer Da'Narak Tamoshk
Ship name: Kleptolias' Wrath
Gender: Male
Age: 60
Appearance: Stands at nearly 3ft 4in (1 metre) tall, making him taller than most. Has a row of purple spines down his back like most of the Tamoshk clan, but his tail is stumpy, easily marking him as being magically inclined.
History: Born in the Angral coastal capital of Kleptolias (which his ship is named after) he harboured a yearning to join the Seafarers since a young age. Eventually rose to the rank of Noblefarer at the age of 58, making him one of the youngest ever. Realised his magic was inclined more to creation and spent a time enchanting weapons before being promoted for his skill.
Personality: Bold, confident and rash due to his youth, he inspires his crew. However, can be arrogant and sometimes ignores useful advice, what with his obvious superiority.
Other: Carries a sword and fire dust shells that explode when thrown.

Y'know, sometimes a family is a mutant superhuman clown with cartoony powers, a hyperactive shapeshifter created in a lab, the ghost of an artificially created being who only exists for exposition, a cat who is an eldritch god for some reason, and an emo guy who doesn't canonically exist
