After knocking twice with no answer, I looked at Mira, who shrugged, and cautiously opened the door. There was a living room down a short hall, and already there were a few people there. I walked in.

Josh and I followed Lira into the farmhouse. Once we were inside I heard talking up ahead. "Lili! There are some people up ahead!" I cried, frightened. "Shut up!" Josh cried, "You are really starting to piss me off!" Josh is my twin brother and he stays with me no matter what.

I suppressed a sigh as Mira and Josh started bickering again. "Josh, leave Mira alone," I said quietly, turning to face them. "She's just being shy. I grabbed Mira's hand, just in case she decided to run off - you never knew, with her - and stepped into the room.

There where some interesting people that showed up the ranch house to work at the farm. "Ok kids I'm you boss John and I'm going to show you where you are all going to stay this summer and then you can look around for the rest of the day" the farmer said to the kids in the house The farmer showed all the kids around the house to two bunk house one had girls and the other boys it looked like it may need some work done. Tom and the rest of the kids started to picking and setting up there living areas for the summer. After that Tom went out to look around and see what had to be worked on over the summer. It looked like the fences and the bunk houses need most of the work but some of it could be on the barn for the horses.
All the workers where slow to get to the farm the first was a boy that looked like he would be a good worker strong looking.I showed him into the living room where I started to wish I did a little cleaning but I don't know how to clean. Some other workers showed up 2 to 3 hours later and i showed them around the house."My name is John I'm your boss follow me I'm going to show you where you are going to be living for the time your working for me" said John. He waited until they all disappeared he walked back to the house to do some more work on the office.
I panted as I ran upto the driveway, knowing full well I was late. My old Cadillac had broken down a couple of miles back, and it was irritating to try and get it to strt again. So, ignoring the obvious, I decided to walk the 15 miles left. Big mistake. Sweat was pouring off me in buckets by the time I reached the front door. The farmer who greeted me introduced himself as John Hancock. He led me to the back and left me to introduce myself to the others waiting there. "Hi. I'm Lochlan Riordan. And y'all are..?"
