...because there's no such thing as impossible, especially when you're a writer.

So what are your wishes - the ones you think are just impossible and that will never happen?

I'm going to ask for much: I just want to help every depressed teenager in this world.

I wish I was a princess.

Um. That aside- I wish that politicians would stop being corrupt. That'd be nice. Yeah.

For affordable non-polluting technologies en masse. And for people to realize of its existence.
And perhaps, no forms of racist discrimination.

I wish I was a princess.

Dude, that's not impossible at all. All you have to do is marry a prince... or a princess... xD

Do I just have to say one wish? Darn. Well, that more people would become Christians! That way, they all will go to Heaven! :D

I wish that when we learn how to increase the human lifespan using telomeres that whatever concoction they produce to give to the general public will actually BE for the general public instead of the fat and wealthy...

oh, and make sure it's not horribly expensive, that's sort of implied, but y'know...
Help, help! I'm being repressed!

Wow, you guys are way more noble than I (am). When I saw this topic, what came to my mind is this: what I would want most right now would be the money to afford traveling the world and a boy who is good for me to go with. I suppose both could be achieved, but the money especially will/would be difficult.

If I think more lofty/altruistic, I'm not sure. I suppose I wish human nature was such that in times of danger we didn't allow fear, self-interest, and prejudice to make us follow the herd and turn to extremes. Aka, our species' history of genocide and persecution really like affects me for some reason. I think it's because history has shown that almost no group, race, or era is immune to it. It's just all prosperity and peace versus oppression and fear. Like, if some crazy apocalypse type event/some enormous economic crisis/even just a major revolution occurred - something to turn everyday life upside-down - and we felt a good deal of suffering and then government (or somebody) offered up a scapegoat, I believe the majority of people would still go persecute the blamed group. Even if they were brought up with the education and the values of tolerance and reason of a modern developed society. I think there's something in our human nature - inherent fear and the fight for survival, I suppose - that makes us prone to repeat this cycle of killing our neighbors. It scares me, like that if we weren't so fortunate with the relative ease of today's world, my friends and neighbors might still turn on me when things go south.

Shoot, sorry to get so lengthy and off topic, but I suppose you guys asked for it. If y'all hadn't been so noble with your replies ( :D ), I wouldn't have felt bad and I would've only mentioned traveling, heh.

I wish that I could bake a cake made out of rainbows and smiles and we'd all eat and be happy.

I also wish that all my wishes would come true. :D

Mikko - i've helped three (not including myself all those years ago) so technically four if I count myself.

Anyways.

I wish people could just accept people for who they are, automatically. People accept people like themselves and no one else (though kids at school are starting to realize, in their words "you're pretty cool. How come we've never been friends before?"

I just want to get rid of stereotypes, cliques, and so called "normal"
