This is a place where your character can chill...or is it?

I picked up my spellbook and flipped it over. The old mansion was a great place to hang, or at least that was the word on the street. I looked at my tattered clothes. Hopefully they won't notice. I smiled and knocked on the door.

A small woman with tabby orange hair opened the door. She smiled and ushered him inside, her green eyes sparkling.

"I'm Cat. That's Tom," she said, pointing to a skinny young man perched at the foot of a long staircase. "What's your name?"

"Well, if you insist," said Cat.

"You say that like we actually live here," Tom pointed out, earning himself a glare from his companion.

"We're just exploring," she explained. "It's what we do. Feel free to join us if you want. We haven't been here long enough to actualy find anything."

"Boys?" said Cat. "No, not as far as we know."

"Actually, someone has been here realtively recently. Maybe it was him? He could still be here." added Tom.

Cat clearly thought this was the most adorable thing she had ever heard.

"We can help you find him,"she exclaimed.

"Catherine! You barely know her!" said Tom, finnally leaving his perch.

"She has a tendency to meddle," he apologized, earning himself a cuff on the ear. "Ow! Hey! Anyways, the offer still stands, but you can say no if you like."

The three of them walked side-by-side along the road toward the mansion. Fira, the master of Fire, stood in the middle of the road, much to the annoyance of the motorists. On her left was Serenity, the master of Spirit. She walked along the edge of the gutter, her charasmatic attitude drawing men toward her like moths to the flame. On the other side of Fira was Marina, the master of water. Her deep blue hair blew about in an almost non-existant breese. She walked up the mansion's stairs, the others following behind.
"Hello. We were told this was a good place to stay, can we come in?"

This time it was Tom who went to answer the door, but Cat still managed to be the more welcoming one.

"Come one in!" She called. "The parties just getting started."

I'd been sat there for way too long already. I could sense other explorers poking around downstairs and even now I heard one clambering the ancient stairs. Giving the rocking chair one more rock in an effort to stand up gracefully, which failed misrably, I stood and smoothed out the folds of my black dress. Inspecting myself in the dusted mirror, I concluded that I looked like nothing more than a ghost.
"Well you've outdone yourself this time Lenosea, you're whiter than white!"I murmured to myself as a woman walked through the door.

"Amy, I guarantee you that if we go into that dusty old mansion, someone will be dead, and we'll be the ones who have to catch some guy who's taking out his wife/grandmother for insurance money. It's the same old thing every. single. month." Henry Stetson said to Amy Miles.

Amy adjusted her red sweater and pulled her cascading blonde curls into a pony tail. "You do realize the odds are against it, right?"

"Karma isn't. Plus God hates me. Plus it would make me miserable. It's going to happen, we both know it."

Henry sighed, maybe a motorist would squish him. That would make everything perfect. He noticed some strange looking women at the doorway of the manor. He rubbed his temples and started to wonder if it was all worth it, maybe he should be taking his Prozac, all of it in one big gulp.

Amy put out her brilliant smile, Henry felt his stomach churn. "Hi there! Our car broke down just down the road, mind if we stay here? A friend of our's will be here soon to jump our car."

"Also, if you're having some type of party, don't eat the food or drink the wine. When people gather at mansions like this, someone always ends up dead, and I'm not in the mood to catch a killer."
Review unto others as you would have others review unto you.

Don't panic!

I teleported and fell through a few tree branches hitting the ground "That was fun." I muttered to myself brushing the dust from my clothes as I stood up, My eyes were drawn to a old mansion. "Looks like I teleported myself into Addams family's house." I said climbing out through the trees. Of course, I really couldn't complain cause anything was better than getting chased by dinosaur people through a swamp. I have very little control over my vast powers of teleportation which allows me to teleport through time and space but only once every three days. But on the bright side of things, in my travels I've learned quite a few skills that I could put to good use. I cracked my knuckles as I walked up to the front door wondering what could possibly await me this time.
