So I just sort of had this image suddenly stuck in my head and I decide to try and hash it out. I actually liked how it turned out. I'm a little rusty with my shading and I don't generally do a whole lot of nature drawings so be gentle with the lack of detail on the tree XD I know the mother's one leg looks a little funny. Definitely open to suggestions for a better position for it. I just decided to leave it for now and maybe revisit it.

First of all, I kind of like he way the mother's leg is. It looks like she's trying to look casual, but at the same time self conciously protecting her child from falling. I also really like the expressions of the people. They look like the might be setting their eyes upon something i the childs hand (is there something? i think so, but i cant tell) of something far away. Also, I like the way the mother is leaning slightly in towards her child. Good Job.

The child is looking at a flower that has it's petals being blown off her hand by the wind. They didn't scan in so well and it's hard to tell what they are because I didn't take much time to look up exactly what kind of flower I wanted to draw or how the petals looked individually. The mother is sort of watching the petals, but I more of pictured her staring out into the world, happy and content with the situation and her life from the love of her child. Or something like that XD

That's amazing! I wish I could draw like you...
I think I just experienced amazingness! (your drawing!)
It's fantastic! It's a fantasy world that draws me into it, I feel like I'm watching them, huddle, maybe in a jungle tree or something else as amazing. I LOVE IT! I say keep on doining what your doing 'cuz it's gonna put a smile on people's faces (as long as they appriciate good art!) ;)

Wow this... this is amazing! I love the shading on the dress and it's very realistic. Especially the way she is sat on the tree and holding the child, i love it! However, the child's hand looks slightly strange, maybe because the arm is a bit long. Also the dress looks a bit flat, it could do with a bit more shading, despite the good shading that's already there. Also, i would have liked a bit more detail on the tree. It just seems as though you got bored drawing the tree, but believe me, if you add more detail, it'll look amazing! Not that it doesn't all ready ;)
Anyway, love this. Keep up the amazing work!

This is a great picture, really unique :) I don't mind the lack of detail on the tree, I really don't know how to draw backgrounds myself, but I thought this could use lots of color. I can imagine a beautiful sunshine on them both, and really happy-looking colors on their outfits. I really think colors would help set the mood of this picture.

Can I say I love their hair styles? So cute! And their clothes are great :) The only thing I see a problem with is the skirt, which looks way too short, especially for a lady x) It barely covers her butt. I'm worried that the slightest breeze would lift it enough to reveal too much skin lol.

If I'm being technical, I think the child's head is too large for its body, almost like her tiny neck would snap trying to hold the weight of it on her tiny shoulders lol. Also, the lady's leg that's on the tree looks small too, especially when I compare it to the other one.

Besides that I couldn't find any other nitpicks, it looks lovely! ^_^
The bad news is we don't have any control.
The good news is we can't make any mistakes.

ahaha, Sheep, that's the thing with an anime styled child. Kids heads are huge, even in real life. Our head size never really changes as we grow, and anime style plays up the innocence of big heads and eyes. It tends to follow the same rules as chibi characters.

And the problem with the other leg is that I had in one position that looked fine before I added in the tree, and had to change it with the angle the tree ended up being. I never really decided what that leg was doing because I didn't wanna clean off my eraser which was starting to leave smudges behind XD And the reason it looks short is because the foot should be showing from underneath the leg, but i didn't add it there since I was hoping for other suggestions as to where the leg could be better placed =/ which is so not happening XD

And I hate coloring =/ unless it's to put in a dramatic effect, or it's a project that will take a day or more, I will not color.

"The trouble with Borrowing another mind was, you always felt out of place when you got back to your own body, and Granny was the first person ever to read the mind of a building. Now she was feeling big and gritty and full of passages. 'Are you all right?' Granny nodded, and opened her windows. She extended her east and west wings and tried to concentrate on the tiny cup held in her pillars."
