Hey Everybody

Well hello there, guess you want me to say a little bit about myself.

I started creative writing at the age of 8 when my teacher told me I was the worst writer she had ever seen (Private Schools pretty much suck). A year later I was writing wonderful poetry and always made an A in English. Currently I've just had one of my poems published in a book and working on a novel. Short stories are most likely my favorite type of writing, I don't do much of poetry anymore. Ill try to add some of my earlier writing on here and then some stuff I'm working on now.

I'm glad you decided to join the site when you saw it, because this is one of the friendliest, most hospitable sites you can come across in the internet. The site is pretty huge, and you might get lost, but know that every member is here to help one another.

So you are a poet. Hmm, not much of a poet myself but I do know a thing or two about poetry, so if you are in need of a review, please PM me, and I'll try my best to review.

I know, teachers don't seem to understand how talented a person can be. That we can be as talented as them in English. I had teachers who gave me 'C' passes for my Literature tests. Pretty ironic, because my nickname is also 'C'

But why did you stop writing poetry? It's a great way of expressing yourself.

Anyway, if you have any questions or problems that you may come across, you can PM me or post here and someone would definitely answer your questions.

There's also a buddy system in this site. It's a place a where a person can mentor a new user for a limited amount of time, and help that person around the site, doing reviews of his or her work and generally be a guide for the new person. If you need a buddy, post there, and someone would willingly be your mentor.

Now I have a few questions,

1. What type of genres do you read?
2. What's your favourite colour?
3. What are your hobbies other than writing?
4. But, most importantly... do you like cookies?

What genres do you like to write? I like short stories as well. I can easily experiment with characters, voice, and style in short periods of time.

I'm sure you be just peachy here. We're all a bit nutty (and proud of it ), but we're also very friendly and helpful. If you ever need anything, just ask. Anyone on the site will be more than happy to answer your questions or give a review. The best people to ask are the moderators (the people in green), but again everyone is willing to answer.

Welcome to YWS, and as mentioned, it really is one of the best writing sites on the web. I'm sure you'll fit right in with the rest of us and this is a great place to expand your knowledge and make other friends who share the same passion.

So, I'm Pink and as you can see I'm green. This simply makes me a junior mod on the site so if you ever run into any questions then go ahead and scribble on my wall or send me a message. You can also contact other green members like me or even the dark green guys to answer any of your questions.
