Welcome to YWS! I'm sure you'll love it here. Everyone's really fun and helpful. I have to warn you, though. Even though we all try to be nice and encouraging, most reviewers won't just tell you your writing is wonderful. There's always room for improvement, and we just want to be a part of your growth as a writer.

So, what do you like to write? Poetry or prose? What genre?

I'm sure you'll get along swimmingly, but if you want your own personal guide, you can get one from The Buddy System. Your mentor will review your work, answer you questions, and just be a general guide to the site for a month. If you're interested, make a post here, and you will be bombarded with enthusiasm.

As an answer to what you said, YWS is a place where you get lots of positive feedback. But you also get helpful critiques, methods to improve your writing, and a huge amount of helpful, friendly people that you can get along with almost immediately.

If you have any questions about what you come across in the site, need a helping hand, feel free to PM me or post here so that someone can help you.

Also, if you need a review, you can post here or just ask me and I'll do my very best to review it. But I do want a cookie for my effort. Nah... just kidding.

I really appreciate the help, I've never joined a blog for writers before and it's mainly a hobby. But a passionate one at that.
I'm very much looking forward to having the chance to look at everyone's (using the term loosely) work. I'm very busy with college and everything at the moment so I might be a bit slow going at first but I'm hoping to improve as time goes by. I guess cookies are welcome everywhere, so I'll be sure to pass one along if I figure out how to do that exactly.
My writing pretty much sits around Fantasy and Fiction, but I'm open to writing anything that interests me. I have a very storybook style imagination, I'm always thinking up new things and often forget most of what I come up with along the way.
And I tend to babble, quite a bit. Don't know when to stop talking. I guess it's part of being British really .
I've even tried to write lyrics before, but they're not very good, so there's no way I'm posting them yet haha! It would also help if I played an instrument. I'll learn...one day :/ .

Anyway, thank you once again for replying. Help is always welcome!
