Xandria (Xandi) - Rebellion

I watched as a girl came towards us. Sire and S'oul greeted her with smiles so I guessed she must be this Quicksilver they had been talking about. I flet something on my shoulder and turned to see the bird I had sent to watch her chirping happily at completing it's mission.
"Thank you bird, please if ever you need me know I shall return the favour," I whispered to it before whistling, signalling that it was released. The bird sat from a moment longer before speeding off into the trees again, its call blending in with the noises of the forest.

I turned around noticing that everyone was leaving and took a step forwards before stopping again. My wolf looked up at me, and whined as if asking what was wrong. I silently glanced towards the road where I had seen the car speeding away, my comrades still trapped inside.
"Sire, please I have to go my friend Atila has been taken by the government. I spotted their car not long before you came and I've already lost alot of ground. . . Does anyone have a car I could borrow, I'll bring it back as soon as I find her," I said to the group of people before once again looking back towards the road.
'Are you saying Ni to that old woman?'
'Yes'
'Oh, what sad times are these when passing ruffians can say Ni at will to old ladies. There is a pestilence upon this land, nothing is sacred. Even those who arrange and design shrubberies are under considerable economic stress in this period in history'

(Well, time to start the slaughter. :D )

Dynamo

Ray made his way down the street, all the while people locked their doors and closed their windows. There were a few children who scampered down an alley way when he passed by. When he was finished with the rebel's hole maybe he should take out a few of the people living nearby? The fact that they let the rebels live in the same town escentially meant the townsfolk were supporters harbouring the vermin. Wars had civillian casualties, and this was no different.

He came up to a building with a hard wooden door and equiped with a rectangular sliding peep hole. He didn't have to check his data to know this was the place he was looking for. He went up to the door and gave a polite knock. After a moment the peep hole slid open. Ray smiled at the pair of eyes that met him and said, "Hi." Even as the shock was registering in the man's eyes Ray lifted his foot, charged it with as much energy he could muster, and slammed it into the door. The discharge flung the door off its hinges, sandwiching the man between it and the wall. When the door tipped to the ground along with the man blood was already starting to pour from his motionless body.

Men were already starting to rush out of nearby rooms, most of them were equiped with handguns, but a few of them came in empty handed. He assumed the ones that didn't have any weapons must have been people with powers. The men with guns got into a makeshift firing squad line as they pointed their guns at Ray. "Don't move, or we'll drop you where you stand!" one of them yelled.

Ray looked to his left and saw a large metal pipe that stretched from floor to ceiling. He placed his hand on it and forced his power into it to supercharge the metal. The resulting magnetic feild caused all the men's guns to fly out of their hands and stick to the pipe. The guns clattered to the ground when Ray took his hand off the pipe and faced it toward the now unarmed men. "You should have shot me when you had the chance," he said before sending a thousand volts across the hall into each and every man's body.

They jittered and danced as the electricity rampaged through their bodies. Their blood curdling cries of agony echoed through the halls as their muscles spasmed out of control. Ray watched with great pleasure as the life in their eyes slowly dimmed, until they were nothing but deep pools of black amidst white. Satisfied, he stopped the electricity and watched each one fall one-by-one to the floor. Turning to the now terrified power users that were left he said, with an evil smile, "Your turn."

Sire and S’oul | Woods | Rebellion

“Damn it,” I breathe so quiet I think no one has heard. But I am proven wrong when I receive a sharp headbutt from the small girl at my side. I looked down at her, a little irritated. “Why do you care what I say? You don’t even like words.”

She simply stares defiantly, and I sigh in defeat.

But I didn’t curse for nothing. Thoughts are streaming through my head, and I don’t have time to sing and calm them down. Lightning. QuickSilver. Zeke, Xandi, rebels, Atila. Add them up and all I come up with is damn it. Forget this! I need to sing or else I’m useless, and I’ll have all these thoughts flying around until one hits me and knocks me out. I close my eyes, and my lips move softly.

I’ll dissolve when the rain pours in,
when the nightmares take me.
I will scream with the howling wind,
‘cause it’s a bitter world, and I’d rather dream.

My eyes open, and I feel much more in control of myself.

“S’oul,” I call. She looks up at me. “Go to the fox.” Her eyes grow wide and she knows what I mean. She has wanted to go to him for a while now – she can feel his agony and she wants to settle it. My command sets her free.

“Xandi!” She is gazing sorrowfully, but unwaveringly in the direction of the road. The wolf next to her rubs its head against her, much like S’oul will do when she is worried. From what I understand, Xandria’s friend has been captured by the government, and she means to rescue her. But she can’t do it alone. “Xandi?” I ask again. She jumps a barely noticeable amount, her eyes focusing and her head turning towards me. Her eyes are… glistening, very subtly.

“We gotta save them, huh?” I say.

She nods, determined. I continue, “Wait a moment and we’ll collect everyone. In the meantime, QuickSilver!”

The white-haired girl jumps into the conversation. “Yes?” she says.

“Does anyone know anything about that lightning? It wasn’t... natural. There’s no clouds and it was insanely powerful.” I can see the thoughts running through everyone’s head. They are digging through their memories, searching for any omen, a warning they received about someone or something having to do with-

“Lightning!”

The exclamation rings in the air.
Oh, I wish I was punk-rocker with flowers in my hair.

The power users didn't put up much of a fight for Ray, he cut through each one like a hot knife through butter. Still, more always seemed to scamper out of the many coridors to face him. They must be eager to die, he thought as he slew yet another one with his electricity. He was a little disappointed with the effectiveness of their struggles. He had been dealing with these rebel rats for a while now, and it seemed no one could ever put up much of a challenge anymore. He had to make up for the disappointment by coming up with brutal ways of killing them.

As he entered the cave system under the house he noticed the waves of rebels were starting to thin out. He had expected more men to come after him, but figured they must be starting to hide. Now was the fun part, searching for his prey and watching the terror in their eyes as he exterminated them.

He heard a noise from behind one of the metal doors lining the rocky walls. Opening it, he found a woman standing in the corner clutching a child. Ray sneered a little at the sight. Great, he though the rats are breeding. Figuring he'd be doing the world a favour by killing the woman and child before they could cause any future problems he raised his hand and began to gather energy.

His ears rang painfully when a gun was fired directly behind him. As luck would have it the bullet just skimmed over his shoulder, though it tore through the side of his headphones and send bits of plastic across the room. Looking over his shoulder he saw a man standing at the door with sweat covering his face. Smoke rose out of the barrel of the gun he held.

"Get the hell away from my family!" He shouted as he moved forward to place the barrel against Ray's back.

"Well, there's still a few of you fighters left," Ray remarked as he slowly raised his hands in a fake surrender. All the while he began to focus on his secondary skills.

"I'm going to make you pay for what you've done to every-" he couldn't even finish his sentence before Ray spun around with lightning-fast reflexes and grabbed the wrist of his gun arm. Ray twisted the man's arm until he heard something crack, and the gun clattered to the ground.

Ray sent a few volts into the man's body to momentarily paralyze him. The man's legs buckled, and he hit the floor on his stomach. Ray wanted to have a little fun with how he killed this one, and it would have been a hassle if the rebel rat tried to fight back. He kneeled down in front of the man and lifted his head up by the hair so he could see his eyes. "I do so enjoy my job," Ray said as he revelled in watching the growing terror in the man's eyes. He savoured the sight as long as he could, then began to kill him.

He sent a low voltage of electricity into the man's head through the hand he was using to hold the rebel by the hair. The screaming was immediate as the energy began to surge through his body. With each passing second Ray raised the voltage, until he could see the man's blood begin to boil under his skin. His arms and legs began to dance and jitter as the electricity made his muscles spasm out of control. A demented smile grew across Ray's face as he pushed the voltage up even higher. The man let out one last agonising scream before his eyes exploded.

Ray's sadistic laugh echoed through the the room as he turned to face the woman and child. His face was painted with the man's blood, and the sight of it made the woman scream and the child shrink into his mother's embrace. "Now, where were we?" Ray said as he approached the two of them, intending to do to them what he had just done to the man.

Zeke | The Old Cabin/ His Secret Base

I felt a soft head nudge my shoulder. I looked and saw that innocent girl who was with the gang-boy. She looked like she knew I was hurt. I couldn't understand it. Why come to me when I was in the middle of an emotional breakdown? I sat up and looked at her in the eye. Suddenly I saw her sitting with the gang-boy. They were like siblings at a glance. To my surprise and shock, I was with them. I was holding them on my lap, looking like I found family and was starting over with them. This brought tears to my eyes when I came back to the present. Maybe I could have my chance into being a part of a family after all. Question is how to grab that chance without dying.
The girl noticed the change in my expression, but looked confused.
I gently patted her head and said, "We need to get away from here, little sister. The government will hunt us rebels down like the animals they think we are." I got up on my feet and left the room. "Mia, is headquarters still on the line?"
Mia answered, "Yes. HQ is on hold at the moment. I did that to send the message. Why?"
I said, "Tell them to cut off the connection of my base. I won't need this place anymore."
Mia asked, "Why say that, Zoroark?"
I answered proudly, "Because I'm going to the Main Base with some friends."
Mia smiled and said, "It shall be done." After that, she left to pass down the message.
Look down and show some mercy if you can.
Look down, look down, upon your fellow man.

Sire and Soul | Woods | Rebellion

I feel much better. The fox feels better. He still has a deep sadness in him, but he has called us friends. He has seen us as family. I do not remember having a family, before my Sire.

There is another person in the cabin, and I do not know what to think of her. I cannot see her, but I can sense that she stands very straight, and smells a little like mint.

Fox and I return to the others. My Sire is better than he was before, and I can feel his energy tugging at me. As I go to him, I see Silver looking at his hand. I smile, because Silver likes my Sire very much. I like anyone who likes my Sire, so I like Silver.

My Sire is speaking. He is saying something about lightning. Someone has remembered it. The lightning is bad – it belongs to a very cruel person. I push closer to my Sire, because I remember a cruel person too.

My Sire looks down and starts to tell me to go in the direction of the lightning. He says be safe, be careful, and that he will give me all his lower-level energy for starters, and higher-level if I am spotted. I can see he doesn’t want me to go, that he’s much, much, much more scared than I am. But me, I am worried about something else. I know what higher-level energy is, and I do not like the idea of him using it.

Silver volunteers to go instead.

“I can fly faster,” she insists. She moulds into a silver bird. Shiny. The fox suddenly goes back inside the cabin, but he is so masterfully silent that no one seems to notice.

My Sire still hesitates. Unlike me, he cannot keep track of Silver. The loss of contact scares him. But in the end, Silver insists she can take care of herself, and my Sire lets her go. Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh she flies, and glints in the sun. I hope she does not glint when the lightning is near.

“So the next problem,” my Sire says. “is how to get to the government. Xandi, you mentioned going by car, but does anyone know where we could get one?”

“Mia says we can use hers, as long as we don’t total it,” Fox says casually, appearing.

For a moment, they are all stunned at how easy that was. Then their faces break into smiles. “What would we do without you, fox boy?” my Sire grins, and thumps him on the back. “Now all that’s left is a plan.”
Oh, I wish I was punk-rocker with flowers in my hair.

Zeke | The Old Cabin/ His Secret Base

The gang-boy asked me what would he and the other do without me.
I answered, lightly teasing, "Probably hide until you die."
Mia appeared and tossed me the keys to her car. She warned, "She once was my mother's car, so don't cause any damage on her, Zoroark. You be sure she's in one piece when you're done with her."
I reminded Mia, "Even though I'm old enough to do so, you know I can't drive."
Mia chuckled and said calmly, "I know, but you have the power to cover your tracks with illusions. They fool even me."
The others and I went to Mia's car, which was a black '95 Chevy. I gave the keys to Xandi and took to the back seat. I said, "You'll need me to keep us covered. My illusions last as long as I let them, but it requires concentration to last. If my concentration is broken, the illusion disappears."
Look down and show some mercy if you can.

Xandria (Xandi) - Rebellion

I looked down at the keys which were now in my hand and got into the drivers seat. It had been so long since I'd last driven, in fact, the last time had been when I had been going to pick up Aunt Loren and Uncle Kev from the airport. I stopped and shook my head. No, I wouldn't think about that now, that was the past and there was no going back. I could feel the tears beginning to form as I started the engine and began to drive. I tried planning the route in my head and decided that I would have to get to where I'd last seen them and guess from there. If only we had someone who could track, I glanced over to the forest where my wolf was lying waiting for me. I whistled softly for him to come closer and the creature came closer until he was just close enough to hear me speak.
"Stay and wait," I commanded before I was too far away. "I'll be back." At this the wolf whined but sat down all the same, watching as I drove away for the first time since I'd been taken away from my family.

((So excited I'm finally caught up and I can post now! Thanks sosososo much for bringing me in Audy!!! Please tell me if there's anything I got wrong. I was a bit unsure about some of it.))

Devlin

It was cold that night, and the forest seemed especially dark, so I kept Marla close to me to keep her warm. We had been on our own for a while. That made hiding easier, of course, but it was still almost unbearable sometimes. Small groups of rebels were sprinkled all over, most of the time in remote and uncomfortable places that seemed unlikely for life to even be able to exist. I tried not to complain, because I knew some had it much worse.

We were discussing our next move when our conversation was interrupted by the sound of a panting girl, and my mid-sentence pause as her past played through my head. Marla was used to it, but she couldn't help but always wonder what I was seeing.

"She's a government breakout." I said after it was over. We both peaked around the corner to look at her. She bent down, exhausted, but she wouldn't let herself sit. She kept looking around, scared she had been followed. I knew I had to help, so I started to move slowly around the corner.

"Be careful." Marla warned me. I rolled my eyes, but smiled, and even though she couldn't see my face she knew I had done so.

She was facing away from us, so she was surprised when I swooped under her and lifted her up, not to mention extremely alarmed because she was expecting a government agent to pop out at any moment. She tried to scream at first, but I covered her mouth for a moment when I saw she was about to.

"Are you for the rebellion?" She asked as soon as I removed it, seeing that I wasn't wearing the usual attire of a government agent. My clothes were dirty and torn.

"So, you want to join the rebellion?" I asked in a manner that showed that was my answer. The girl nodded, and just then, Marla tapped on my shoulder lightly, but I didn't think much of it. "I'm sure we can take you on." I added with a smile. I set her down then, as she seemed to regain her strength - it hadn't taken long because of her power.

"What's your name?" She asked.

"You can call me Devlin. And this is Marla," I said, gesturing to the pale figure beside me. "And you?"

"Estelle." She replied.

"I know a cabin nearby where you can take refuge for the night. Sometimes The Fox is there, we'll just have to see." We started moving. But then I stopped suddenly. New images began to play through my head.

I turned around. "I know you're there." I said to the darkness. Estelle, confused, stared at Marla for answers, but she was watching me. There was no reply for a while, so I tried again. "I can see you."

"I can see you're past, Wesley Snipes." That's when he showed himself. He came into the clearing and stared at me.

"What do you see?" He asked me.

I had never been asked this question before, so I was a bit taken aback at first. I had wondered why he still worked for the government, even with what they did to him.

((I'm not quite sure how you want to do the next part, so I thought I'd leave that to you. I don't want to play Wesley wrong.))

Wesley Snipes | in the woods nearby Zeke's cabin

"What do you see?" I asked again, he seemed to hesitate before making his reply and I was getting impatient with my power. I wanted to know - I needed to know. Devlin seemed to sense my curiosity. His eyes widened.

"Do you not know?" He asked. He looked at me in a way no one ever looked at me before. With pity. I couldn't stand it. Without even giving him time to blink, I pulled out my government-issued gun. I never had to resort to using it before, my hands were shakily clasped around the handle. The two girls screamed, and the rebel girl-- Marla, she narrowed her eyes at me, hissing.

"You'll tell me." I wasn't going to provide him with a choice. Devlin had his hands up.

"I see a boy," he said. "A toddler."

I was shocked, because I saw him too. Always, he appeared in my dreams. The memory I had earlier came back to me, and I buckled under the realization, coming straight to my knees. There was a reason the government chose to hide this from me...

"He was killed," he began again. "The government killed him right in front of your eyes."

I shook my head frantically, the gun dropping to the floor. In my heart, I knew what Devlin was saying was true. I could feel the weight of it inside me, wrenching at my insides.

"You were only inches away."

I started to remember. The face of that little boy became clear in my memory - his face pale as cotton sheets, with flushed, pink cheeks. He had just learned to walk and he was hobbling about after the noise outside. Fearless and curious. Just like me.

A troop of soldiers were gaining upon the runaway arsonists. There were four of them, cornered at the cul - de - sac. They fought back with such animated fervor, using whatever powers they had at their disposal. Flashes of green and red and blue shot out towards the soldiers - but it was useless.

I heard the ear-shattering cries, the torment, the devastation. I flew down the stairs, out the open-door. I saw as the soldiers moved in, barricading the rebels with deadly bullets.

"You weren't fast enough," Devlin said. "You went after him as fast as your body would allow, but you weren't fast enough."

Devlin

"You weren't fast enough," Devlin said. "You went after him as fast as your body would allow, but you weren't fast enough." I said quietly, mostly to myself. I replayed it through my head. This was why I joined the rebellion. I was tired of the government breaking up families and ruining lives, just like they had Wesley's and mine. "I'm so sorry." I said.

He sat the on his knees for a bit, then suddenly turned angry. He picked up his gun, returning to his feet. "You're lying! This is a mind trick to turn me against the government. They blessed me with powers so that I could help and do good!"

"No, Wesley! That's not true. I wouldn't lie to you. I know how you feel." I said, holding my hands out towards him and stepping in front of Marla and Estelle.

"All rebels are the same. I knew I shouldn't trust any of you!" He raised his gun towards us. He wanted to erase evidence of this ever happening, how he learned what really happened. He hated showing his emotions and beat himself up for being so weak, telling himself he should have known they would pull something like this. He wouldn't let himself believe it was the truth. He didn't want to.

"What do you think that will fix?! You can't run away from your past." But his anger got the best of him. He looked away, trying to forget all that happened, wishing he had never followed Estelle. "We're not the enemies Wesley!!!"

Then he shot. I tried to get in front of the girls, but the bullet was too fast.

((Okay, so I was thinking the bullet would hit Marla, since she isn't anybody's character and it would be better to get rid of her so that I don't have to keep up with her or just awkwardly stop including her.....i hope you know what I mean. I'm bad at explaining things, but the point is it should hit her!))

Camille Huntington - Rebellion

I couldn't sleep. No matter how many times I tossed and turned, nothing could help. Wes was still out there dealing with those rebels. How could me and Sam be so... reluctant?! Sure, we had to take care of Atila and Blindie, buyer could've just left them on Dynamo's hands, right? I immediately sat up. I'm going. And I'm going to drag Sam with me, whether he likes it or not.

I put on white skinny jeans, white tank top, and a white leather jacket. I slip on some white boots and poke my head through the door. No guards. I quickly slip out of my room and head for Sam's. He's probably fast asleep, but that won't stop me. I stop outside of his door, and try to open it. I mutter a curse to myself as it won't open. Suddenly, someone's hand is on my shoulder. I turn around, expecting Sam to be behind me, but it was a guard this time.

"Hey! Shouldn't you be on your room? It's way past curfew," he scolded me. I rolled my eyes.

"You didn't want me to keep you company?" I asked with as much disappointment as I could scour up.

"You better- wait, what?" he asked. Opportunity. I stared into his eyes for three seconds, then he began caressing the air. I smiled to myself. He's under mind projection. Now, back to the knob. I freeze the knob, then shattered it. That might give me some entry. I pushed the door open to see a startled Sam.

"Camille! What-" I cut him off.

"Shut up. We're going to get Wes," I said. I dragged Sam outside in his pajamas. We don't have time to wait for him to gussy up. He stared at the guard.

"He thinks I'm flirting with him," I said. "Pathetic, isn't he?"

We reached the back of the building in no time, and got onto the car we were in previously. Although, it took some time arguing about who gets to drive, but of course, lady wins. I slammed the door shut and turned the car on. I gripped the steering wheel.

"Hold on," I warned. Sam clutched whatever he could. I counted to three, then stepped on the gas pedal as hard as I could.

------------

A few minutes later, we arrived at where we saw Wes earlier. I stepped out of the car and heard screaming. Me and Sam glanced at eachother, then took off running as fast as we could. Now, you might think that running in heels was hard (which it was), but I dealt with it. We saw a glpse of what looked like Wes, we stopped. He was holding a gun, and aimed for the girls. A few seconds later... bang! The girl dropped to her knees, then landed face flat.

"Wes!" I cried. Wes turned around with a shock. He looked like he'd been crying.

"Wes..." Sam trailed off. I saw another girl, and a guy.

"Freaking rebels," I muttered.

(Hope it's okay!)

Wesley Snipes | fraught with emotional turmoil in the woods near Zeke's cabin

I saw the girl called Marla drop to the ground which was slowly pooling with blood. I didn't feel anything anymore. I felt no remorse for what I have done. She might as well have been a rag doll I could've thrown away. I was numb to the pain that was quickly overcoming my body, and for the first time in years, I couldn't move. I couldn't even believe that I was fully here. This might well have been a dream...

I knew only one thing, and that was hatred. Hatred for these rebels. I lost all composure. I felt tears running down my cheek. It was all a nasty trick. A nasty trick. They mean to fool with me. I felt myself weaken. My body couldn't move like I wanted to. What was happening to me?

"Wes!"

I turned around to see a figure in white, running through the woods in a ridiculous pair of high-heels. My lips twitched, I almost laughed out loud. Camille?

"Wes..."

I realized then, as I saw Samuel's weary face, why my powers weren't working.

I also came to realize that I felt great relief at seeing these two people come back for me. But it was more than just relief - I was...happy?

I shook my head. If at one point I had a family, they were taken and then hidden from me. But these people now, Cam and Sam. They were still here with me. I will find out the truth about my past, but for now, I am going to protect my friends with all I've got. I couldn't let them see me here like this. I had to struggle. I had to show them that I was worth something. That even I can protect someone.

Stumbling forth a couple of steps, I broke out of Sam's reach. I was able to encircle around the clearing at whip-lash speed, stopping short right behind the bewildered Estelle. I was no longer afraid to use my gun. I came down here for a reason, and I wasn't going to let the prisoner escape.

I pointed the barrel at Estelle's temple.

"I'm glad you guys are here," I said. My voice sounded hollow and far-away. "Sorry, I had a momentary lapse of judgement. But Devlin here was about to show me the rebel hiding spot around here."

The gun clicked.

"Or else he'd be held responsible for two deaths tonight."

(Oi. I hope that's alright...?)

Devlin

It all happened so fast, and before I knew it, Marla was on the ground...dead. I knelt beside her cold, lifeless body. I struggles to keep a tear from rolling down my cheek. She had been all that I had for so long. It was like a part of my died with her. I loved her like a sister, but almost more than that.

I stood up, glaring at Wesley.

"I'm glad you guys are here," he said to the other two government agents that had just walked in. "Sorry, I had a momentary lapse of judgment. But Devlin here was about to show me the rebel hiding spot around here. Or else he'd be held responsible for two deaths tonight." He gave an evil smile as he pointed the gun at Estelle this time.

"Why?" I asked him, shaking my head. "You took it too far, Wesley. I actually thought you would make the right decision. Guess I overestimated you. You're just another government pet." I knew he didn't care, but I continued.

"We have lives too, you know! We have feelings just like you. At least, some of you."

"Shutup!" He said, rolling his eyes. "I'm gonna give you 10 seconds to start leading me towards that base you were talking about, or say goodbye to your little friend."

"No. You're not taking another innocent life today." I moved Estelle behind me. "I don't want to hurt you, so just back off!"

He laughed. "Stupid rebel."

Just then, the government girl took a step towards him. She was close enough to me and the dim light that I could see her now, and boy was she beautiful, even though she looked like she wanted to kill me. She was also close enough to me that her history started to play through my head. However, it stopped when the boy also stepped closer. I was disappointed. I hated cliffhangers, and something about her seemed so interesting to me! What I saw of her past had been so complicated.
