An empty heart for an empty life
Where sunlight hardly shines
It’s a cold heart a cold life
This life I live to die in
Hardly a person who I can call mine
Who understands this cold life as I
No one to speak with of better things
Or things that could have been
This empty heart in this empty life
Still beats just to beat to live
But death it awaits, where it no longer has
To beat, to beat to live
And the emptiness becomes complete
It’s a cold heart a cold life
This life I live to die in

This is quite a downer, but it speaks the honest truth and I like it. Lot's of times people butter-coat things until it becomes a false fantasy life. But I can defiantly connect with this poem. Sometimes I wonder why i'm even here, and the answer is usually to die. it's a bit depressing, but yeah. And the reason I tuned to poetry was I guess the same reasons as you. To speak with people who feel the same, or at least have enough sense to try. Anyways, great poem; the last line is very dramatic and powerful and I like it. This line, "To beat to beat to live" is a bit confusing, maybe if you add a comma between the 'to beats', but other then that, it's really great.

I love the repetition - the last line is what really captured me and made me want to read it again. I like the simplicity - it's not too crowded or deliberately overworked or over-emotional. Probably all you need to work on is punctuation, there was a bit of discrepancy with commas, but other than that - fantastic!
