Trope? Character archetype/type? Plot line? Setting? Genre? Writing style? Author?

Feel free to share all this here! I'm doing a minor study (well, quite a few studies) for the upcoming NaNoWriMo, just feeling around to see what people like to read (and, 'course, more on how to write it) and I thought something like this might be fun and cool for all us writers. After all, we post stuff for people to read--our peers to read--but we don't often ask them what they'd love to read. YA writers probably should do that more often.

So, yeah . . . tell all when it comes to the favorite things you've seen in books/television/plays/etc.--anything written (perhaps not so much lyrics and poetry, but that's okay, too). And, for those storybookers out there always wanting to make the best one possible, maybe tell them what you like the most about RPGs and storybooks. Maybe even give out some prompts! If you want something to read, just ask for it. (And, if you guys want, I can make something a bit more elegant for that--I know I'd love for us to have a prompt thing; plenty of fanfiction websites have those, maybe it'd be fun. :D )

Otherwise, maybe you'll inspire someone . . . and get something in return.

So . . . feel up to taking the challenge of answering a few simple questions today?
My SPD senses are tingling.

This is gonna sound weird, but my favorite trope to use is actually the Everyman. It's a good, basic pallet that is used well to contrast the other characters with more quirked personalities. It's like a light/dark lens.
