I have completely run out of ideas for things to draw, so I started asking if anyone had any requests. Lovely Micki told me she'd like to see me draw some more characters out of her novel, Mirror. And right as I read that, I had the perfect idea in mind!

I decided to draw the scene where Shyla (in the yellow dress) and her older sister are sitting on top of a hill on a summer day, just talking. This scene particularly gripped me, because I realized later that this was the last time they ever spent together.

Anyways, I hope you like it!

*crap, I'll edit that blue bar on the pic when I have time*

The bad news is we don't have any control.
The good news is we can't make any mistakes.

Oh, wow.

I really liked it :) I think you could have made the girl in yellow's head a little bigger. The purple one's hair is awesome ^^~

The grass. :/ It isn't really great. It looks like sponge has been taken, dipped into green paint and rubbed against the paper. Try adding a little more detail? :)
Also, because of the grass, when the characters are standing/sitting, it really doesn't look like it. Also, below the girl in purple, you need to make a slightly darker shdow and also around the girl in yellow's feet.

Hope that helps ^.^

If I were to have a super power, it would be to time-travel, so that I could turn back time, and erase your very existence.

WOOOOW! I just want to say firstly I hope you did art GCSE's and got A* because that is just WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW! haha! I think one of the things I really love about this piece is the colours their the sort of colours young children would be attracted to but the piece itself is so grown up and mature, you know? Don't worry if you don't its just what I think lol!
I also love the happy feeling I get when I look at the picture its bright, happy, smily and just WOW! :)

Hi! I didn't want to miss this one so here I am to review your work. :) The very first thing that caught my eye was the background you've given here. The clouds look too real so I can say the sky is beautiful. I love the flowing hair (The shine's perfect!) The shades in the girls' clothes are nicely done. The folds in the yellow dress are detectable (Both girls look pretty and amazing.
I love the purple shirt. Did you design it yourself? It looks cute. :)
What I would suggest here is that you should work on the arms and legs a bit more. The arms are better here but the girl's legs seem a bit out of proportion (the one in the yellow dress). Oh and try practicing the feet too. The toes aren't that clear (but overall parhaps this is your best drawing yet! It's so good that I don't even have the right words to describe it! :D)
You can correct the shades on the blue pants. You've shown the light coming from the right side so show the shading on her left leg correctly. It should be on the right side rather than left (the shade, I mean).
Another suggestion just popped up into my mind. Try making the shadows of the two girls under their feet. (On the grass) There doesn't seem to be any link between their feet and the grass. It's like they're not touching it. These are just tiny faults. Nothing serious. You're an AMAZING artist. (You make me repeat that line every time. You're just that good!) And you keep getting better. :) Good job.

I really liked the faded background of the piece, very unique and original, unlike your usual style. Works really well. It's not as detailed as your other works but it fits the subtle style. The contrasting colors of the vlothes the two women wear shine out brightly. There's so Manu great little details here like the patched pants and the yellow necklace. The design of the shirt as well. It's a nice clash with the pure yellow of the other girls dress.
I think the hand on the girl in yellows hop sorta blends into the dress rather than going over like it should. The sane goes for the Sandles she wears.

Overall this I'd the most artistically unique piece you've done. Keep it up.

WOW! I have never seen anyone draw like this! It's such a unique style! It's amazingly detailed, too! Especially the girl sitting. He clothes look like they are actual clothes! The girl standing looks a bit awkward, but other than that, I think this is really good!
I am a PUZZLE
yet to be put TOGETHER

But at the same time, I'm just one PIECE
still trying to figure out where I FIT IN

What a GREAT drawing! I absolutely love this, however I have parts in the drawing to comment on
> The sky: The sky is beautiful and very well coloured, pretty looks like a real sky. So well done with that :D
> The grass: You need to add more details to the grass. It gives me this feeling that girls are standing on air. TwistedMuffins has mentioned something about the shadow of the girls or dark coloured areas underneath, I definitely agree with her on this.
> Girl on the right: Her hair is fantastic! I love the hair color plus the highlights. The dress is quite good, quite lack some shading. (it is very light but it is okay if you're intending this). The legs; though, need some work on it especially the ankles. And I love the sandals, they perfectly match with the dress.
> Girl on the left: (my favourite) Love her outfit! Whether from the patterns of her shirt and the colour of her pants, all great! And I like her hair as well.

Overall, it was a beautiful drawing, keep it up! ;)
