Hidden Tears

From rise to set, I always try
To keep my head up towards the sky

But how come everytime I try,
I end up on my knees and cry?

From day to day, I hide my tears
Until it rains or where no one hears

But how come everytime I wait
My heart feels like it's bound to break?

From moment to moment, my mind is full
As my thoughts flood, I feel more dull

But when people ask me, "Are you okay?"
Why is it, "Everything's fine", that I say?

I try and hold myself all together
I try and move through each day after another

But why do I feel myself slowly shatter?
Everything's slipping, lost and scattered

I try and say to look deep in my heart
Confidence is my wanted lost part

But why do I feel like there's nothing there?
I search within the darkness of all my despair

And what do I find? Nothing but space
Space that's built up in the wrong place

I try so hard with others as my witness
To make it this far, put my mind to focus

Every mile I make, makes the next one longer
Each time, becoming much weaker, not stronger

Someone please answer my cry of pain!
Bring me the peace I need to be sane!

I feel like I'm drained, all that I am
Feels nothing but a waste, a fraud, a sham

Someone please fill up my insides with hope!
Someone please give me some way to cope!

I'm losing my grasp on all that I touch
Wishing that life had my strongest clutch

Banging on the walls of the shell that I'm in
I'm trapped, I'm alone, I'm injured from within

It's too overwhelming, it's suffocating
Some please help me for I am begging

Down on my knees I still remain
With tears hiding in the rain

I realy liked this. This poem really touched me. I liked the way you rhymed and the rhythm is great. I think at times though you could have not used explanation marks because I felt as thogh it was sort of obvious you were crying out but otherwise I loved it.

this poem really did touched my heart....i loved the way you presented your feeling...it's exquisite...i just have some questions regarding some of your lines...such as, in the line

" From day to day, I hide my tears
Until it rains or where no one hears"

here if i am not wrong you have used the word rains for your tears...but the forth line "or where no one hears"...i didn't quite get the line....should it have been "upon where no one hears"....and in another..

"Someone please fill up my insides with hope!"

i think instead of insides it should be inside....

nevertheless, really liked your poem.Do keep writing

When I wrote that line:

Until it rains or when no one hears

I tried to say that I can only cry when it rains, because at that time, my tears can blend in with the rain. They're both water lol And by "when no one hears", I was trying to say when I was alone or just far enough from people where they won't hear the sounds of my sniffling and such when I cry.

But thankyou again for the feedback. Everyone, thankyou.
