'lo, all! Call me Lils. It's not my real name, but it's definitely easier to remember. I spout the occasional poem from time to time, and I love writing super-short anecdotes. I am absolutely incapable of writing a good love poem, or any poem that isn't free verse. And my long stories are usually abandoned halfway through. I've got too much initiative and too little persistance.

In real life I am the weird kid that's friends with the gang of pretty girls, who isn't addicted to crazy and childish stuff people my age are. The one that lets loose only once in a while. But I like being the social oddity - it suits me.

Hey, how you all doing? My name is Alex I've just started getting into writing so any help would be awesome.
Got a little question for the forum though, should i actually be calling myself a writer?, i mean what actually makes a writer, is it just a romantic idea that anyone who picks up a pen and enjoys writing can class themselves a "writer". Or do we take a more cynical approach and say that someone can only class themselves as a writer once they are actually making a living from their talents?

Welcome Alex, you are considered a writer whe all you want to do when you wake up is write. When You smile during the most boring class when thinking of how you could change it. Writing is an artform that, has many forms. I hope you enjoy it!

Howdy, i am actually two people in a sense, my girlfriend and i, i do most of the posting. We are working together writing a Sci-Fi Post Apocalyptic Story, which for now is called "The Nameless Book", we can't really come up with a true name yet. I myself am a big Sci-Fi and Historical Fiction (20th century, WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam ect.....), but, i my gain some enemies saying this, but over all i'm kinda an anti-fantasy and anime person, while on the contrary me GF is so you can like her . and i'm really looking for comments and advise on our stories! if you could stop by and say something i would be grateful! Hey everyone! My name is Dustin Drake from Vancouver Canada. I'm 16 and I find writing to be one of the most exquisite forms of expressing one's emotions, feelings and beliefs. I am having a writers block though and that is that I'll write something for awhile then lose interest and begin another project. I need your help there. I need to have something to keep me writing and interested which is why I'm here. Too, to learn new things and make use of the advice I may get from those who have been writing far longer than I or just as long.

Writers block is a pain in the neck. This place somehow always kills it for me. I browse half absent mindedly through the forums and somehow it always sparks something new for me to write without me having to copy someone else's work. I swear it's the awesome spirit these people possess .
