I am a point whore, and a newbie. So here I go.
Im Charley, I write sometimes.
I am getting bored and uncreative this summer and thus I am showing my work to anonymous strangers with the hopes that my self esteem will be destroyed. But also to see what's going on in the writing world right now. I am dissatisfied in the extreme with modern literature and I hope to see a resurgence with our generation.

I absolutely understand about all that modern lit stuff, if you can call all of it literature. Stupid gossip girls and all that sort of crap (I couldn't really think of any other examples, seeing as how I don't go near any of it, so no offense anybody). I hope you aren't completely disgusted with our stuff. You sound like you'll be a very critical reviewer, and I'm sure it will do many of us a lot of good.

Sorry if I refrain from completely destroying your self-esteem though. It's not exactly my habit. Besides, running down newbies is rather frowned on here;)

im a new member (not sure whether this thread is even to do with them anymore but it seemed lyk a good place to start)

i am 14 at the tym of writing but will be 15 soon (yay)

not rly sure what else to say lol

i've written a bit when i was 13, but haven't written much recently. hopefully this site will inspire me to continue writing (or just scare me away from the idea: you're all so good!)

random fact: my username is based on a misspelling of the surname of one of my favourite musicians (Kurt Cobain) and my two favourite numbers. and it has nothing to do with my real name (which i don't want to post on here as i don't know any of you...yet)

But just to let you know, as a writer's site one of our rules is that you not use chatspeak. (aka, rly, tym, u, lyke, etc.).

Haha, I hope we do encourage you in your writing. It encouraged me. I wasn't writing much when I first came here. If you ever want a critique for something of yours, feel free to PM me and ask. Just make sure that before you post any of your writing, you do two reviews. That's another rule.
