I usually don't do dark stuff, and I'm not happy with this. But I figured I'd give it a shot anyway.

Oh yes, the person hosting the contest did not give her name, and shes publishing this, so I didn't but her user name.
and red was the best color for these novels.

Thank you for the constructive criteria.

I OWN NONE OF THESE PICTURES. they were found of photo bucket. :) Just thought I'd say that.

These are quite cool, but see if you can change the red font. It's a bit hard for me to read. I'm assuming that the books are dark, and you've chosen quite fitting covers. I am a bit surprised that you haven't put the authors name on the front. Isn't that a custom for book covers? Great work though, it looks awesome xD

I love your choice of those two images (although the second one seemed to be sort of blurry and has an increased sharpness).
Cover #1: You definitely need the font size as well as its style. Try to use a font which is bolder and clearer.
Cover #2: The font size is not large enough to catch the viewer's attention. Also, I'd suggest using a bolder font.

The pictures are interesting, but the choice of font, colour, size, and positioning for the title isn't very well done.
In the first one:
The red isn't the worst font colour you could have used, but if I were you, I would definitely make the font larger. Also... where is the author's name? You surely need this for a book cover!
The second:
Like in the first one, the title should be larger. Also, authors name! I would almost suggest not only making the font larger, but putting it higher, so that it's more on the black. This would make it a lot easier to read.

Hope this helped!

These are quite good, but I agree with the above posts; the red is extremely hard to read against the background. Also, the name of the author(s) is generally on the cover.

Wolven Girl: This is definitely my favorite. The trees are fantastic, and the 'things' coming out of the ground add a very chilling touch. For the text, I would suggest centering it somewhere below the branches of the tree, instead of right on top of them. The red text might actually work with that positioning, though if you do use it, I would suggest darkening it a shade.

Lady Death: I like this one, as well, but the picture-quality is poor and the title is also hard to to read. Aside from that, I like the concept of the image--that this delicate and lovely little creature could very well be Lady Death herself. (If that is indeed the meaning?) Anyway, I would suggest doing something to reduce the pixelation of the image.

Also, if you don't mind my asking, did you draw these pictures yourself? If so, you are quite talented, and I especially admire your skill with the first one.

Ah, in that case you'll want to make sure you have permission from the original artist, especially if the author ends up using either of these covers.

Id have to say they are very great! But indeed you didnt put my name on it... And the books... The covers have really... Nothing to do with either of the books... Wolven Girl is about a wolfgirl really and Death is there to save her from the angles.
Lady Death is the first book out of these two. Lady Death is about a demon who rules the underworld... Im sorry but... They just dont have anything to do with what my books are really going to be about. I know Im sorry that I dont have the books out yet, I really am. Im working on them as fast as I can. Im in such a writers block, its really bad! So please forgive me, but I do like how dark they look though! Great job on that!!
Thanks!

Hello there=] The photos are a tad pixily, but maybe thats just from resizing them? Anyway, I'll have to agree with the other reviewers on this one. I think placement of the title is crucial, and your placement made it a bit hard to read. The rest was a good idea, but try to find a place where there isn't much going on in the background, that'll make it a lot easier to read. I think the picture choices are really cool. Though I'm a bit confused by the zombies? on the wolven girl cover. But I might be totally wrong since I haven't read anything about her novels. Overall, these could use a liiittle bit of work here and there. You have a good start =]

Hye DramalLama :)

Good Covers. Are you sure these are from photobucket because I think these picture's are lovely <3

Cover #1:
I like it where The zombies are coming out! ^^ Explains the title well too :)
But I think it went a little simple?
Just telling and I think the font must have been some other text. It's looking kind of messed up.

Cover #2:
This cover looks like everything's sketched :S
I didn't like it very much as the first one. Sorry to be harsh :S
Anyway, and The 'Lady Death'. It's not clear. You must have given some other color for it :/

Anyway.
Would give this a 7/10.
I'm sorry :)
