Game On
Level 3 : Wake up
I stared at this dark haired boy, my mouth agape. I only knew him for about ten minutes and now he is telling me I control his life - that's not something I wanna have control over.
Then my head thumped.
At first I didn't let it effect me but now it was growing worse. I had felt something like this when I broke from the invisible bond, but it wasn't this bad.
"Abbie? Are you okay?" Ashi asked me putting a hand on my shoulder.
I shook my head. "My head feels like it's gonna burst." my eye stared to water with such pain.
"Bal, could you show, Abbie, to her room?" Ashi asked Bal.
Nodding, he gestured me to follow him. I did while rubbing my forehead. It felt as if I was going to pass out. We exited the throne room door, around the corner we stopped to listen. The twins were talking, well, more arguing. Bal pressed his back agenst the wall and put his finger to his lips. I nodded still rubbing my head.
"How could that little bitch brake through my spell! It....it is impossible! No one....nothing can break free from my bond!" Roi was frantic. There was a dead silence before Roi spoke again. "Maybe my powers aren't working because-"
"No!" Alon yelled, not letting his brother finish. "Do not think in that way! Please, brother, I don't want thoughts like that in our heads."
"But it is possible, maybe I am," I heard Roi sigh. "What other explanation can there be other than death?"
"Hold your tongue!" Alon screamed and I jumped a little. "It may be because she....she is...."
Roi scoffed a laugh. "What the Third, Third? That girl doesn't even know how to handle a sword."
Now as you may have guessed, I do not like to be insulted. So his comment made my blood boil, I wasn't going to take this.
"Hey!" I stepped out from hiding. "I may just be a girl that has no experience on swords. However I got out of your freakin' bond didn't I. So stop trying to conclude that your dieing, just because you lost to a girl!" I walked pasted him giving him the ol' sholder bump.
A smile creeped its way onto my lips as I felt proud for sticking up for myself. Something I couldn't really do in the real world.
"That was a little harsh," I barely heard Bal behind me. "But funny at the same time," he smirked.
"Yeah, just stopped my headache for a while," I rubbed my temples. "Dammit, what the hell is wrong with me?"
"You should get some sleep, by tomorrow we should be at Ourium Castle," Bal smiled at me. "Oh here you are," he punched in some numbers on a keypad near a door. "If you wish for anything my door is right next door."
I thanked him and enter the room. Jay slept on the bed to the left, leaving me with the right one. His breathing was steady but he was wheezing a lot. My headache thumped even harder. So much my breath was snatched away by the pain.
"Ai!" I made a noise and grunted quietly, trying not to wake the sleeping Jay.
What the hell was happening? Sure I did suffer from bad migraines when I was in the real world but nothing quite like this. I found myself to the bed, my eye welded shut trying to ease the pain stabbing my head. The next thing I knew my nose was getting runny, naturally, I ran the back of my hand under my nostrils. I forced my eyes open to examine what had came out of my nose. Through the slits of my eyelids I could see a scarlet shade. Blood? I forced my eyes wide open while rubbing my nose with both hands. My hands were covered in my own blood as my headache died down a notch. I was in a blinding panic. I didn't know what to do, who to yell for, I didn't know anything. So I ran to Jay and woke him up.
"Jay!" using my voice caused my headache to thump a little. "Gah, Jay! Wake up! Is my nose still bleeding?"
Jay sat up his eyes still half closed as he focused on my upper lip. "What are you talking about? Your fine," he lay back down annoyed that I had woken him.
"Huh?" I looked down at my hands and saw that they no longer had blood smeared onto them.
That made no sense. Just a second ago blood was dripping from my nose. I checked my upper lip and felt nothing...nothing?
Before I could get my thoughts together I heard a commotion outside our room. Jay was fast asleep again and didn't hear. So I walked out the room and almost collided with someone.
"Grab that thing!" the person yelled, running around the corner.
"What the?" I followed the small group of people. "What is happening?" I asked one girl who was holding up her skirt.
"A dog go into the ship," she told me huffing. "We're trying to get it."
"We got it cornered!"
As we turned the corner I saw a group of people looking down at something. I heard a whine, growl and bark. My heart went out to the poor beast being treated this way. So I just had to act. I pushed people out the way using my elbows.
"Everybody knock it off! Your frightening the-"
Hunched over cowering, was a long haired black and white Border Collie. She looked at me with hope and relief filling those big brown eyes. My mouth opened and I screamed.
"Joy!" I got down on my knees and hugged the stupid dog. "Is that really you?!"
The dog barked a yes and started to happily lick my face, which I happily welcomed.
"This beast is yours?" I heard one of the men ask.
"Yeah..." my voice was crocked and high pitched. "I mean, yes. She belongs to me."
In the group I saw the face of Bal. Weirdo, has he been stalking me?
"So this is your dog?" I nodded, Bal mobbed his brow and gave a sigh of relief. "Phew, this dog has been scared stiff, she wouldn't eat and I was scared for her welfare. I am glad to see her back where she should be. Maybe she'll eat something now."
Joy barked and continued to lick my face. When Bal said that about Joy I began to think he was an okay guy. What? Yeah you caught me, I don't like people when I first met them. I'm not the normal type of girl (I don't believe in normality as I have said a few times, hahha).
"Joy? Did you say her name was?" I nodded. "That's seems excellent," Bal warily got on his knees and held out his hand for the, still scared, dog.
Now I know my dog Joy well. Well enough to know that people don't need to be scared of her (dogs on the other hand should watch out when this bitch is loose - an other bad joke for you guys). Shes a big softy. She loves to be petting, so when Bal reached his hand out straight away Joy had her head under it.
"She doesn't seem as timid as she was before," Bal chuckled.
"I can't believe shes here!" I said.
It was then I got a weird feeling in the pit of my stomach. This was real. I know we've established this before but it was more like I knew it was real. I knew that I had left my family and friends behind. What would my mother be thinking. She'd probely be in a blind panic. Running around, calling the cops and putting my face everywhere.
That's when the thumping got even more painful.
"Gah!" my hands found there way on my forehead. "Make it stop! Make it stop!"
I could barely hear Joy barking, the men calling back or Bal asking me something. All I was focased on was this sense numbing pain.
Wake up.
A voice started to say that over and over again. At first I thought the pain was getting so bad that I did start hearing voices. Around the seventh time I began to think maybe someone was talking to me.
Time to wake up, Abbie. Time to feel welcomed.
When I heard that voice, the pain just stopped. Gone. However so was everything else. When I was able to open my eyes all I saw was white. First a game, now a freakin' white oblivion!
"Hello!" I said standing straight. "Anyone here?"
I never thought I'd get an answer. "Over here!"
I jumped round and saw a little girl. Around the age of seven. Big brown eyes and dark brown curly hair. I instantly recognized her. She was me. Well, a younger version.
"Hello," the young me smiled. "You know I never would of thought I'd grow up to be so big," she cursed me looking up.
"I'm not tall, your just little," I said not believe the current situation (this coming from a person that was just sucked into a game). "Wait! Where am I? And who are you?! Why do you look just like me?"
"Silly!" she giggled. "I am you. Your in our world. This...all this is ours," she held out her arms.
"Didn't think I had just an empty brain," I scoffed, along with someone else.
When I looked back at the young me, she now was a lot older, it was like looking into a mirror.
She smirked my smirk. Folded her arms just like me. Stood the same way as me. This was just too weird!
"Quit being so surprised, its boring," she said using my voice. "I'll just get right to the point. You - sorry - we are the Third, Third. What you gotta do is put up with Ashi and fight with him," is this what I am actually like?Man, I have an attitude!
"Wait so, you really are me?" I said lowering my eyebrows in confusion.
"You could say that," she said tucking a curl behind her ear. "I'm more...a memory. I am what you were. Not you."
"But your me right now," I said now even more confused.
"Yeah, I can't be you. I'm pretty much you a day ago," she said. "Make sense?"
Oh hell no! "I guess."
"Great!" she smiled and clapped her hands together. "Now you better get back to saving lives then, eh?" she chuckled. "See ya."
Suddenly the whiteness swallowed me and I came crashing to the ground.
