Game On
Level 2 : Bal
I would just like to exaggerate the fact that this ship is fucking massive! I mean every time I think our tour ended Roi made us walk through another door.
"No more!" I exhaled, throwing up my hands in defeat. "This ship is too big! Can't we just go somewhere that is last on our list."
"I second that," Jay said, feeling just as exhausted as I was.
"Sure," the twins said together. "We'll go to the Gymnasium."
A fucking Gymnasium! This ship was bigger than massive!
Turns out the Gymnasium wasn't far. We got there within minutes - thank God! The Gymnasium was panted with a dark sliver blue. To the left would be shiny white bleachers. On the right was a fuck lode of wepons ; swords, spears, weird looking gun thingies and I swear I saw something like a grenade.
"Holy shit!" I breathed out seeing all the wepons.
"This is just a small collection, more are in the armories," Alon told me, looking at the Wall o' Weapons.
Armories?! Fucking plural!
I tried not to sweat with panic, however Jay noticed the beets of sweat. "Hey? You okay?"
"Fuck no," I kept my voice in a low, quite, hiss. "Why aren't you freakin' out. I'm pretty much shitting myself."
"My Dad likes to collect gun's and shit. So I'm used to it," Jay said in such a casual manner of tone.
My mouth hang open. Whatever happened to the normally collections, like stamps or coins. Oh, yeah, that's right - I don't believe in fucking normality!
"Why you lookin' at me like that?" Jay raised his eyebrow.
"What'd ya think!?" I said, my voice oozing with sarcasm. "Oh maybe its just because I'm a girl from Scotland. Are all freakin' Americana's like this?!" I didn't notice that I had raised my voice.
"Americans? What planet is that?" ask the twins.
Time for me to sweat again. "Um, um, um. It's not a planet, more an expression."
Like idiots, the bought it. Jeez, I got away with it (?)
I decided to take a seat on the highest row on the bleachers, trying to clear my head of this current situation. Here is what I came up with ; We're stuck in a game. Don't know how to get home. Don't even know if we will get home. I groaned and stuck my hand inside my roots of curly hair - God life sucks.
I looked over the Wall o' Weapons and smiled as I watched Jay gently touch a swords blade. I don't know if it was seeing Jay taking things easy, or just me not being able to process everything, but I felt myself relax. I sat back, stretched out my legs and put my hands behind my head. Totally carefree, just how I like life. I sighed happily, now feeling like I could work things out. However my relaxation was short lived.
I had noticed the twins acting a little weird. They looked tense and uneasy. They started mumbling things to each other. I sat up straight and griped my fingers onto my seat. Something just wasn't right and me being me, I just had to find out.
"Hey, guys!" the twins looked up at me. "What's the matter?"
"Nothing!" the yelled up at me.
Liar's!
Suddenly a crashing sound came. A window, that lead to the room next door, was smashed through. Glass shattered on the floor. I couldn't help but jump and give off a little mouse like squeak. I looked down at Jay whom had placed his hand on the handle of his sword. However he was shaking-
"Jay! Abbie! Get down!" Roi yelled to us, showing us his palm.
Without warning, I became paralyzed. Not from the shock of everything, I actually could not move. No matter how much I tried to move my body, it just would not listen to the commands I gave it.
"Whats happening!?" I was surprised to hear that my voice still worked. "What did you-"
I was cut off. The thing that made the window smash was a person. His hair was black, so black it shined blue, he had eyes as blue as the sky and skin tanned more than my own. I just couldn't take my eyes off him. He looked.....he looked....unreal. Like a fictional character (well if this is a game then technically, he was). However there was something about him. It wasn't just his looks that made me not take my eyes away from him, but something else. Like something inside my very being was drawing me to this boy.
"We we're wondering when you'd show up," said Roi with a smirk on his lips.
"Thought you'd chickened out," said Alon, with the same look as his brother.
The boy smiled and took out the sword from his belt. "You thought, or you wished?" the boy mocked.
Note to self: laugh at that joke later.
However right now there was no time for laughing. I had to get out of this invisible bond that would not let me move. From the bleachers, I could see Jay not moving, he still had his hand on his sword. His face showed the same mixture of expression I had on; fear and confusion. I tried sending messages to my body, trying to will it to obey my commands. That was a sucky plan! There was no getting out of this one.
I put my eyes onto the battle that was happening below. The boy swiftly avoided Roi's blade, then he did a counter attack. Seeing that is brother was about to have his arm chopped off, Alon block the incoming sword with his own blade. A few seconds passed and Alon pushed the boy off. The black haired boy staggered back a few paces.
I was so transfixed on the battle that I almost forgot that I was unable to move. Almost.
I tried again to get myself out of the invisible bond. When I looked back at the battle, I saw that the boy had his back to the twins. Roi held back his sword and got ready to cut the boy. Something made me just yell, I had to stop this.
"No!" I screamed. Suddenly the invisible bond was gone and I readied myself.
"How did she-"
"Stop it!" I yelled again.
"How did you get out of my spell?" Alon said.
So it was them who put us in that bond. Bastards! I jumped onto the bleacher in front of me - bad idea. At that moment when I jumped the ship jerked. It caused me to lose my footing and slip forward. I outstretched my arms trying to somehow stop the inevitable. Suddenly the room was filled with a painful yelp. At first I thought it had came from my very own mouth, but when I didn't feel the impact of the ground that's when I really panicked. Surely I should of been splattered all over the floor. But there was nothing. No pain, no blood and no splattering. I was fine.
"Huh?" I opend my eyes to find myself looking down at Jay and the twins.
"Are you okay?" I heard a gental voice ask me.
I spun my head round and saw the boy, and behind him, wings! Pure white wings. Angel like wings.
Before I could be even more mesmerized by his wings, the Abbie in me kicked in. "Put me down!" I yelled realizing that I was scared of being so high up. My arms threw themselves around the boys neck making him fly awkwardly.
This game had a lot of weird characters, am I right?
Once the boys feet were on the ground I jumped out of his arms and pushed myself away from him. "Jay?" I ran to my friend seeing that he was in a weird trance of some sort. "Jay? Jay?! Jay!"
Jay was still stood with his hand to his sword, his eyes were tight shut. A dark purple like flame outlined his figure. I called his name once more trying to snap him out of it. His eyelids flashed open wide, they were no longer human, they were filled with a purple shade - just like the flame.
"The time has come. The rest of my children will be awakened, just like this one," Jay opend his mouth, however it was not his voice.
"What's happening?" I yelled, holding myself back. "What happened to Jay?"
"Stop! If you go near him it may stop," one of the twins told me.
"That's what I want!" I bellowed.
"It must. It means he has been chosen," I looked at Alon who was smiling. "It means he is the Second, Third."
And we all go, "Huh?!"
Before I could get my answer I heard a thump. When I looked back I saw Jay on his hands and knees coughing. "Jay? You alright?" I got on my knees and looked at my friend, checking him over.
"Fine. Never better," he coughed. "Felt like I was....was.....in heaven." he smiled through the cough.
Alon and Roi took Jay by the arms and carried him away. I followed along with that boy.
"Why is he here? You guys were just fighting a while ago, right?" I said confused.
The twins giggled as a door slid open into the throne room. Ashi stood near the door talking with Axile. He took one look at Jay and hooked his arm over his own shoulders. The twins went next to Axile and spoke to him. While I hammered Ashi with questions.
"What happened to him? Why did it happen? What the hell is the Second, Third?" I spoke in high pitched mumbles and Ashi put up his hand once he got Jay into his throne.
"Jay? Can you tell me what She said?" Ashi's hand was under Jay's chin, making him look Ashi in the eye.
She? Who the hell was She? For all knew She could really be the cats mother - or is that her?
"She told me," Jay took a deep breath, his eyes were rolling back in his head. "She told me to feel welcomed." a few seconds past and Jay lost all his strength.
Ashi clicked his fingers. "Axile. Could you take Jay into the spare room we have, please."
Axile nodded then put his furry arms under Jay and carried him away. That's when I lost it.
"Okay! Someone fucking explain to me what the fucking hell is going fucking on!?" I tried to hold back the swears.
"Oh, I see you have met my nephew." Ashi gestured his hand towards the boy.
The boy walked over to his uncle and smiled at me. Now they were standing next to each other I saw that they looked more like brothers. In addition to that the boy looked around my age - if not younger - also Ashi looked pretty young himself (around mid twenty's). So then how freakin' old was Ashi's brother - or sister.
"Hello," the boy got on one knee and bowed his head. "I am Baliroiis Lemeno. However call me Bal for short."
I wasn't really interested in the boy - well maybe his wings.
"What happened to my friend?" I said, my voice tense and stubborn.
"Alon, Roi. Could you leave us, please."
With that order the twins walked outside the throne room. Ashi put his hands behind his back and walked a few paces up and down before speaking.
"Have you ever heard of an old Ourium prophecy?" Ashi asked me.
"No, I haven't heard about anything."
"Well every few hundred years or so, three people are chosen. These people are fighters of good," Ashi began to tell me. "These people have been nicknamed The Three. I am the First, Third."
Like this was making any sense to me.
"So then......"
"You see these swords You, Jay and myself all have?" I looked down at my leather belt and glanced at the handle of the sword. "These have been passed down for thousands of years," Ashi went on. "It is believed that the first Three were chosen to lock away an evil enemy. They did so and lived happy life's. A short while after they died, The Evil broke free of its bounds and that's when an other Three were chosen. So, I have been given the task to imprison this evil. After which, life will be peaceful and I'll then die," great way to end.
"Wait a sec?" I put my hands in the air. "Wouldn't it just be better if we kill the damn 'Evil'? Save a lot more people havin' to take on this big ass task. Dontcha think?"
Ashi let out a sigh. "It is also said that this Evil is immortal and can not be killed, it can only be bounded by the Three. Which is what I intend to do."
This couldn't be happening to me. I wasn't a hero, I was just a girl from Scotland that had a taste for video games. Then again if this was a game, all I have to do is beat the last level and I'm home. So this last level must be the 'Evil' we must imprison.
"One last thing? Why does he have wings?" I pointed to the little prince boy, Bal.
Ashi giggled. "Along with the Three their are protector's of the Three. Beings with wings that are guardian angels to each Three. If you are good at working things out you'll of guessed by now Resse is mine," now that sounded so wrong. "And my nephew, well, he is yours. Assuming that you really are the Third Third."
I looked back down at Bal. He was knelt down again.
"From this day on my life is yours to control. Please, do as you wish," Bal raised his head and I took a few steps back, now in total shock.
