Maybe Someday.

Okay, I'm going to try to post at least one photograph a day for awhile. Hopefully a month or more. Here's two that I took a few minutes ago. I used a PICSCIO JVC HD Waterproof camera. Its a pretty nifty little thing. And I used picnik for edits. Location: My overgrown backyard. And I sort of stole that little willow statue from my mother for a few minutes, hopefully she doesnt kill me for taking it outside! But I hope you like these. =] Also, I'm trying to figure out how to make it smaller. But its not working =\

You've two quirky pictures here, they're lovely. I actually have those little figures at home, there's quite a collection of them aren't there?

Anyway, on to the picture. XD

First off, the formatting of the picture was difficult. Would you consider resizing them? For me I couldn't get the best out of them both because I had to do too much fidgeting to have a decent look at them and even so, to have a look at the bottom of the photo I chopped off the first half. It was hard to get a real look at them and therefor, a real opinion.

Other then that, the first picture I felt was extremely bad quality. I could see you blurred some objects on purpose but, everything to me was unclear and blurry in a sense that made it hard to see. I'm not sure if it's your camera are whether you blurred it on purpose but I personally would like the people to be more clear at least as they're the focal point and the main theme of the pictures.

I liked the idea of them both, I loved the tree in the background of the first and the light filtering through each branch but again, I think it was spoilt by the fact that it was unclear.

The second one, maybe, I liked the most. I thought the black around the edges and the rounding of the edges was nice. It gave it more depth then the first.

All in all, you've quite a funky idea here. It's cool, I like it. However you need a bit of quality in these to really polish them up. I'd also love to see them in their full beauty; if you do resize them so we can see the whole picture at once, I'd be interested in having a look.

Hello there.

First photo: I like the idea you had for this. It's really cool and funky, and it took me a while to understand why we couldn't see the features in the faces. Statues like that are wonderful, considering they give a message of their own. What I see in them is pretty much the roughness of their figures contrasting with the tenderness they seem to be holding on to each other. And I see you've played with that coarse side when you edited it. It's my favorite between the two, although I'm not sure I like the tree behind them.

Second photo: Again, I like it for the same reason as the first one, but I don't really like the hue around it, and it's probably the only thing that I dislike. I personality think that it would be better without it.

These are so cute! I love those little statues. I used to have one of my own.. and then.. let's just say it wouldn't make a good picture.

I love the tree in the background of the first one. The big blurred piece of grass though, I found it a little distracting. It might just be that it's too dark, or maybe it would look better if you didn't blur it.

I love the black around the edges in the second!

I'd have to say my favorite is the first, partly because it looks strangely realistic. :O

This is so creative! The photos you have taken are amazing. What I like the most is the idea of placing that lovely statue to your backyard. I love the first picture though its quality is not really great.
The second picture seemed to be too much edited. Seems that you've increased the brightness & the temperature to that it made the statue looked too red at some areas.
I also like the idea of having the second picture framed in that way you did and the rounded edges made it vintage-looking.
Overall, you did a fantastic job!

<About the resizing issue: You can also use Picnik for resizing your images very easily. Just click on <Resize> and I recommend for you to use 500x500 or less.>

Hey guys thanks for all of your reviews! To clear a few things up. I was going for a really vintage feel here, and with the first picture, that piece of grass in the front was moving, I didn't purposely blurr it. And for the second one, I changed the temperature a bit to bring out a bit of red between the couple. Sort of like a visible spark? So if it looks pixilated and old, grainy, thats totally what I was going for! I try to have a raw vintage style. Thanks =]

Hey there Tylyn! These are some great works, I'm not really this good on reviewing but I'll try!

1 - This looks neat! The only problem about this is the angle is quite tilted and it seems to be grainy. I like the concept you placed in this one though! It has a good rule of thirds and good coloring. It's nice that you made them look tiny. The curved borders is nice to look at too.

2 - I like this one better, it's less grainy and there's no problem with the angle. the concept and the vignette or the deterioration of the borders is nice too, but I do find it quite intense. Nontheless, you captured a dreamy, nice shot with good coloring and lighting.

You have a good eye for photography, keep up the great work, okay?
