Sitting on that one familiar bench,
waiting patiently as the flowers bloom.
Staring above at the clouds that will drench;
inches and inches of rain I assume.
Notice I left my umbrella at home;
alas stand up, look for shelter, and flee!
Unexpected times like these make me moan;
aha! Thank God, Mother Nature, your tree!
I stand gazing upon every soft drop,
wondering where it will fall. A small stain
on the pavement screams for liquid to stop,
stop! Crying out saturation in vain!
The rain is now gone. It is getting dark.
But rain, I say, is nature's beauty mark.
