I recently bought an anatomy book for manga artists, so this was originally just a practice to try out a different pose. But it was turning out pretty well so I spent more time on it and decided to color it too. I feel like she should have a name, but nothing is popping into my head lol. Any suggestions?

Maybe I've read/seen too much Harry Potter, but I think she looks like a Lily. Or a Liza. Or are you looking for more popular anime names? I don't know. This is just what my humble self thinks she looks like. Very good drawing, by the way. My only criticism would be to ask if legs really are that long. I don't draw anime stuff though, so what do I know? Keep drawing!

III think she looks like an Ellie =] But thats just me. =] The shading in this is spectacular and the positioning is fantastic, I still have to improve on that. Hmm... I really like the texture in the skirt and her legs make her look really elegant. THe proportions are great too. Well done =]
I love this one! I think, of all your art I've seen, this looks like it has the best shading to me... the proportions look pretty good too, but I agree with Angela, her legs look kind of long... I guess, perhaps, that's an anime thing. Also, where the front foot meets the front leg, it seems like that area's too wide, or something. Besides that, and, i could be crazy here, but, it seems like her hands are supposed to be on her heart, but it almost seems like they're on her shoulder... I don't know, maybe I'm over analyzing it XD
Err... names... Marcie? Maxine? Malinda? I don't know, something that starts with a "Ma," I'm thinking...
The first name that popped into my head was Jennifer. You know, like 'Jenny'. I don't know why, but that's the first one I'd suggest. Also maybe Cassie, Madison (did the other reviewer say that?), Brittany, etc. I hope this helps... cool picture, anyways! Keep up the good work!
WE ARE DAUGHTERS of our Heavenly Father, who loves us, and we love Him.
AH-HA!! SO THAT'S WHY YOUR PROPORTIONS ARE SO GOOD!! You little studier, you! ;P
Geez, I seriously need to get me a tablet! You use gimp, so it's like "DUDE, I NEED TO DO THAT, TOO!!" Pahahaha although I'm kind of hesitant to use one, since my math teacher got a tablet for his smart board two years ago and MAN was that freaking hard to use! I didn't know where I was writing O.o but hey, birthday in eight days, maybe I'll discretely beg with all my might ;P
Anyway, on to the actual review! Arms = perfect Head = nice size Hair = amazingly freaking perfectly perfect (like always) Legs = amazing, like seriously. Feet = a tad too squiggly Toes = big toe is a tad pointy Ankles = right ankle is perfect, left ankle is a bit of a cankle.
Yeah.... I really don't think I have anything else to say... I'm sorry, no long review this time! *sob* I feel like a failure! ;P Gosh, I seriously love your hair... like seriously. Love it. Love. It. <3
And as for the names, I may be too much of an anime freak but I seriously have some Japanese names that I absolutely LOVE! Okay, here I go. Tsubaki? Sakura? Yuki? Hikaru? Tsubasa? Hehe those are my favorites ^_^ oh my, I'm such a nerd ;P

If there's a 50/50 chance of getting something wrong go for it anyway because there is also a 50/50 chance of getting it right

Mel or Maggie. I don't know but she looks like something that starts with an "M".
As for the drawing itsself, you were right, you have gotten really good! I so wish I could draw anime, maybe I should get one of those manga how-to-draw books.

You aren't an official writer unless you're at least slightly mad.
def the best of your work I've seen. Excellent shading, facial features, and the body and shading look superb. I do agree the feet are a tad thin, kinda like a skate ramp (the front foot) whereas feet tend to plateau and then ark up at the bridge between ankle and foot. This is my only real complaint, your coloring is great and the hands look very good here. Can tell you put alot of effort into this one.
As for name I'd think maybe a more exotic, but not crazy, one like Ariel.
*cough* So... I think this probably already has enough reviews, and my mind isn't working now, but this is awesome - as you already know. The porportions are pretty much spot-on, and I love the way you did her skirt. The folds and buttons make it look very real. Perhaps more shadow on her shirt? Hmm... I don't know.
Did I mention that the hands are wonderous?

Oh, I wish I was punk-rocker with flowers in my hair.
I have read in some book that a character's body must be 5-6 times the size of it's head. So, I think that your picture came out pretty well.
The Part I Liked About It: The hair and the hands. I cannot make the hands like that - never. How many ever times that I try, I can never make it like yours.
The Part That I Didn't Like About It: Is it just me, or are the legs too long? I think that they look way too long . . . . . . . . . . perhaps it is just my imagination . . . .
One Question: How did you give your character the shade and texture? I can never do that.
I think that her name should be: 'Sakura', which is the Japanese form of saying: 'Cherry Blossom'. It suits her skin, doesn't it? Well, at least I think so . . . .
Keep drawing!
I hope my review has helped!
