My mind was doing so well.
The paper was filling with words so perfectly.
But, suddenly, it just stops.
No warning,
no "heads up,"
not even a way to turn it into a cliff hanger.
My mind is stuck.
My brain's shut down.
Why? Why?!

Now what?
I was so close!
I was going to give this to the teacher,
I was going to show this to my friends.
They were all begging me for more,
but now I just can't give it to them.
Because what's a story with no ending?
What's a story with no answered questions?
Why? Why?!

My brain scrambles for an idea,
but nothing comes,
and nothing comes.
But, then, something does.
It's faint, but grows stronger every second.
Then, it slaps me in the face,
but it's something that is of no use to me.
Well, it at least answers my question.
Why? Why?!
Because... you're having writers block.
There once was a women named Kent,
Whose nose was rather quite bent.
One day I suppose,
She followed her nose,
And nobody knows where she went.

Hi-ya!!!! I'm a huge fan of writers block, because (and this piece is testament of it) when your brain halts, with no direction for where you want to go, it gives you threads. All you have to do is pull on them and unravel the story your meant to write.

My mind was doing so well. I find this line kind of comical in a good way...hard to explain
The paper was filling with words so perfectly. Even imperfect words have a way of "wowing" a reader
But, suddenly, it just stops.
No warning,
no "heads up," Love this line!
not even a way to turn it into a cliff hanger. This is the part to go do the dishes and play out all the "what if's"
My mind is stuck.
My brain's shut down.
Why? Why?!

Now what?
I was so close!
I was going to give this to the teacher,
I was going to show this to my friends.
They were all begging me for more, I sure know the feeling!
but now I just can't give it to them.
Because what's a story with no ending? Actually, it's the best. Leaves room for more exciting sentences!
What's a story with no answered questions? Frustrating, but also brilliant!
Why? Why?!

My brain scrambles for an idea,
but nothing comes,
and nothing comes.
But, then, something does.
It's faint, but grows stronger every second.
Then, it slaps me in the face, Bahahahaha! Been there!
but it's something that is of no use to me. Never say Never!
Well, it at least answers my question.
Why? Why?!
Because... you're having writers block.

1. Love your Avatar
2. Love Love Love your writing!
3. Never doubt the writer within!
4. Anything written is something worth reading!
If you want to be a great writer, don't think about what you're going to write, just write it.

I'm having a hard time seeing the "poetic" sense to this. It just seems to me like you're throwing a bunch of words together it putting them into stanzas. I know all poetry is different, but it should all have a poem feel to it.
I was going to show this to my friends.
They were all begging me for more,
but now I just can't give it to them.

Was that an accidental rhyme? :)
It wasn't an actual rhyme but it was what do you call it...a constance I believe. Maybe it's ansoance. I forget :)
but nothing comes,
and nothing comes.

I'm not sure if I liked the way you said that twice. I can see why you did, but you shouldn't have made them two seperate lines because that takes away from the flow.

Because... you're having writers block.

I really liked the ending. Great way to tie it all together!

Someone already posted something on here called an Ode to Writer's Block, so I'm wondering if that's why you decided to call it a "semi" Ode to Writer's Block.
Oh and by the way, it's Writer's Block, not writers block. The writer takes possession of the block ;)
