Haha, that's brilliant. :) More utter genius from Lord Fry!

I know exactly what he means. I was listening to an English lecturer the other week who compared what Fry calls "pedants" to people who talk about how the Sun should orbit the Earth and how the Moon should stop every now and then because it would be more convenient, and then call themselves astronomers. Language is so much more interesting when you study what _is_ being said and why it is being said, rather than prattle on about what you pretentiously assume _should_ be said.
