I need to buy new pencils. (Edited... kinda)

So I haven't drawn anything in over six months now, and this is the first thing I've created that I'm at least somewhat happy with in a while. As I drew this though, I realised that I seriously need to buy some sketching pencils to use rather than 10 pence ones from the local garage/gas station, so I apologise for the dodgy pencil strokes. I also need to buy an eraser...

For once, I didn't actually copy this from a photo, but did it while I was watching the guy on TV because I'm pretty stupid like that. I struggled with the nose, hair and lips here, but seriously, this dude's lips are a pain in the butt to draw, especially when I'm using pencils that I swear have a nib with a diameter of 10 centimetres.






I won't say who this is because I desperately hope you can tell, otherwise I've clearly failed completely.

I DIDN'T KNOW YOU COULD DRAW!

(Yes, this needed two headers; I couldn't choose. xD)

1. His (my) right eye has a little less definition than the left. Basically, I'd just like a sharper focus.

2. Same side eyebrow is thicker than the other. A little thinning out and reshaping and it's in ship shape.

3. His lips are a bit dodgy. Not too bad - the problem is in the lower one. It's much too thin. But fix that and it's looking good.

4. His nose is a bit big. Scale back on it and you're golden.

5. His face structure's a little off. His head looks like it's turned slightly to (my) left, but his face is staring straight. Move a few lines and that should be taken care of as well.

So, basically, this isn't perfect, but it's still really good. I don't really have much more to say, as I'm not really an artist (though, I'm trying to change that... >.>). But I could recognize him, so that's a good sign. =)

Hahaha but seriously, how the heck did you do this without a stationary picture?! Bah. My mind is blown. Overall, definitely amazing! Haha I like the sketchiness of it.

I love the eyes. They look so... real-ish! the shape is perfect, too. The only nitpick I have, is that the mouth is awkwardly shaped, but I know from experience how much those darned lips are impossible to draw! Paha, so good job anyway ;P

And, it's so accurate, that even though you already told me who it was, I could tell right away! (like duh, what kind of obsessive fan would I be if I DIDN'T know who it was?! ;P)

Amazing what a little editing can do, eh? You may think that the edits didn't do much, but immediately I could see the difference - overall, this can across as a lot more streamlined, a lot more in proportion. Now, the nose still seems a little off to me, but really, I'm not sure what could make it better. I love how you changed the eyebrows/eyes; the eyes pop a lot more now. The lips are better too, now. The only thing I might say about them is the top lid on the (my) left side is a little bigger and less-defined than the right side. Nothing major, but once again, little things.

Overall, I really like this. I knew right away who it was (and I do even more now). It's a really nice picture, and a nice way back into drawing. =)

Well, obviously I know who this is. I'm not one for reviewing art, so I'm sorry but I can't give you any critiques. However, I do think you need to send this to me so I can frame it and hang it up in my room and stare adoringly at it. :3

Second Logan Lerman drawing I came across today! Gosh, I think I'm getting lucky! You drew him so perfect, period! He looks so cute as always. Did you use a photo of him? Or did you start from scratch? Either way, it's amazing! Amazing job and keep it up!
