Spoiler
When I was younger a person in my family sexual abused me, but never raped me. It's a horrible feeling. Like you aren't even worth it for them to finish off the job. This poem is some what a reflection of that.

Images, flashes, fears, and nightmares
Pulse through me,
Haunt me daily

You took your
Nasty, sweaty, thick
Hands and grabbed at me

Touching every sacred
Part of me
Nothing is mine any more

No, you never put it
In all the way
But just forcing me to touch it killed me

Rough, hard
I hated it, still do
The shivers will never go away

Women aren’t just
Raped in the cruel
Sick world

Perverts like you
Make our world a living hell
By forcing your hands on us,

Our hands on you.
I can’t make the nights end
And days begin

I will be a mother
A grandmother and I
Will never forget what

You did,
Continue to do
At night in my dreams

At family gatherings
I smile, pretend
Pretend every thing’s okay

But secretly I want
To hurt you as bad
As you hurt my life

On my wedding night
I don’t want to think of you
But I will

My future husband
Picking up the broken pieces
Of your sick puzzle

I hope my screams
Will follow you through
Your life

You don’t deserve happiness
But I deserve, need
Closure

I will be whole again
I won’t be a victim
Any longer

Someone in my family went through the same thing you did I recently found out. So sad..not even close to right. :/

Great poem, touching. Very...
Sorry bout what happened to you...I have memories that haunt me to this day, but nothing compared to that. Your a tough person to have gone through that and come out okay in the end. If I were you, I'd be finished. I've never been one to take on throbbing memories that just cause me inward pain. Emotional pain is not my strong point...

Good job and again, I'm sorry. Though I know its not my fault...

Holy... quadruple post.

I'm so sorry that you had to go through all that. Nobody deserves that.

As for the poem itself, it's very good. It rings with emotion, and it feels real and painful. That's what good poetry does. It makes you feel something, and this makes me feel sad, hurt and angry at the same time.

My one comment: In you second stanza, I didn't realise it was about hands until I read the last line of it. I'm not sure if this is a problem to you, but it's no big deal. It's a vivid stanza, and it's good, but it does give a slightly wrong impression at first.

Keep writing, and stay strong.

This was really amazing! I was also sexually abused by several members of my family, here on YWS I've tried to write poems and stories in order to help me overcome the issue but truthfully they were not as beautifully written as this piece was. Thank you for posting! Also all the things that you talked about in this were the same feelings that I have, I hope you heal and feel better soon!

I liked the poem, it showed alot about you and how you felt. To me it is though as it spoke from your heart, your true feelings about this person that really did wrong. Im really sad that this had happened to you, and I hope that some day you will find happiness and forget all about this person who did this.
Now about the poem, in the second stanza I agree with Torithemonster. I didnt realize that it was about hands till I read the last line. haha but really I thought the poem was good and I want to keep reading more from you!

I really liked this. Good job:) I like how you can hear in the voice how the person is truely broken but still determined and alive. That might not be the best way to put it but i'm not sure how else to but I think that's sometimes hard to do.

So sorry! The site was glitching I think. It took like 2 hours to load and then.... like 20 of them. I'll try to delete some.

I find this very touching..

No Person should be raped or touched in such a manor that do not want to be touched.

I liked how you gave details and gave me a vision on how it went.
