The years about to end, you can't wait,
you're almost there,
just one more step,
then something blocks you from your destination,
the dreaded tests of doom (or at least that's what I call them),
the tests of all tests that makes up a big chunk of your grade,
all you want to do is tear it apart but it keeps coming back,
you have to study in order to pass which sucks because all your thinking about is going to the beach or hanging out with your friends,
the last thing you want to think about is school,
the clock is ticking,
the days are passing,
and finals are coming up,
the only way to get past that wall that's separating you from freedom are the tests,
the best thing to do is study and get it over with,
it's hard to study when summer's ahead but you go on anyways,
pretty soon you have the key and that key leads you to freedom where no learning is required,
you are happy that the school year is over,
summer has officially begun!

There was no flow to your poem but I got the message that you were trying to get across. Finals arean't really a big chunk of your grade I mean there only like 15 percent.......sorry I just had to point that out. But yes summer is finally here which means no school for three whole months yeah! Your poem was a good reminder of that.

Yea I'm just dying for school to end, it was never meant to have rhythm, I just didn't know what category to put my thing in so I just put it in poetry even though it's not poetic at all. Next time I'll just post it in a blog, thanks for your comment though, you're the first one :)

I like the poem, but it doesn't really have any flow. Poems need flow. You should probably work on that. Have a good summer. Keep on writing

I rather liked this. It kind of made me laugh. It was well written, too. Teen readers can definitely relate to this, because nearly everyone goes through it. I personally didn't go through the whole "I have to study!" part, because I've got a pretty good memory and remember most of the things (no, I'm not a superhero or a mutant...I'll probably forget it all over summer. Ha). But I did see my friends go through it.

However, you chose a good topic to write about, because the majority of people do have to take finals (stupid seniors).

I liked the part where you talked about how hard it is to study etc etc when summer is straight ahead. I know I definitely got stir crazy! Sooooo, yeah, good work, keep it up.

Love and space boots,
Liv

Thanks! I appreciate it! Yeah seniors having more privilege than underclassman stinks but if you think about it positively you'll get to go through that too someday. I'm just glad summer's here and that I don't have to think about it at all for another 6 months because I still have midterms, bleh! Anyways thanks for the comment, you've really upped my spirits today! :)
