Never Leave Your Side

Love is a string,
That is always on our hearts.
Placed around like a ring,
We will never be apart.

The string is weak,
Yet holds us, oh so tight.
It lets us seek,
For the one that’s right.

When we get hurt,
The string gets thin.
Our hearts look like dirt,
We drop silently like a pin.

But never will it break,
It always gives us hope.
Never will it take,
Back the words that it wrote.

These words so sweet,
None of them a lie.
They are a treat,
I will never leave your side.”

I am just speechless on this piece of work. It tells about the heart in all its pure honesty. I just love it. Keep writing for the sake of writing and your popularity is bound to soar.
Look down and show some mercy if you can.
Look down, look down, upon your fellow man.

I agree with RedFang on "I am just speechless on this piece of work." Hahah, It was amazing! I like the rhymes you put in too. :D well, we all know who I'm about to start following! hahah (;

To accept life is to accept the fate it comes with- we were born to die.
So why not make the best of what we've been given with the short time we have on earth?
I like to live every day to it's fullest. (: And writing helps me do that...

I absolutely adore this piece of art. It was well done, you used the ABAB thyme scheme and made the poem actually flow and have meaning, the triple crown of poetic work, for many people it's kind of difficult at times (for me included), but the only complaint I have is the apart and hearts done rhyme, one is plural, the other singluar and by definition can't rhyme, but I wouldn't change anything about your poem. It was was well done. Keep Writing!

Turn your demons into art, your shadow into a friend, your fear into fuel, your failures into teachers, your weaknesses into reasons to keep fighting. Don’t waste your pain. Recycle your heart.
