Hi there! Welcome. :} You've certainly come to the right place by coming and introducing yourself here. ^.^

First off, you may want to go here to read the stories and poems that other people have posted. You can leave comments on them to let the authors know what you thought and give them constructive criticism on how you think they can improve, and all that good stuff. Then, you can go here and post some of your own stuff for people to comment on.

That's basically the meat of how the site works, though there is also a really nice community here once you get to know some people. :] Checking your 'Notifications' tab at the top of the screen will let you know when people post on your wall or follow you or anything like that, so it's a good way to keep on top of things.

What kind of things do you write? Stories? Poems? I'd love to read some of it! Let me know if you have any more questions or if you need anything (you can either PM me by clicking the 'PM' button under my avatar <-- or post on my wall by clicking on my name).

See you around!

Hey there! :)

So, it looks like Azila covered most of the bases, but please, if you're still confused about anything at all, let me know. I'd love to help. c:

Why don't you tell us about yourself a bit? What do you like to write/read? Have any hobbies?

Oh dang. Azila's such a good widdle moddy :33

Well she's definitely covered the basics... But hey, anyway! :D I'm Micki and I'm sure you'll love it here at YWS. It's such a great site once you get used to it and everyone here is really nice and helpful. It's seriously confusing at first (I should know XP) but it's not hard to get the hang of if you just start clicking around! XD That's my strategy. Just click random buttons. You'll find something useful eventually! XDD

But anyway, welcome and happy writing!

P.S. if you need anything just PM me, or write on my wall :)

Hey there! As you'll find out, there's tons of people here willing and ready to answer any and all your questions! You'll get the hang of it! It's sooo much fun once you do!
If you want to be a great writer, don't think about what you're going to write, just write it.

I'm a huge fan of writers block! When your brain halts, with no direction for where you should go, it gives you threads. All you have to do is pull and unravel the story you're meant to write.

Why are you lost? This site is absolutely so friendly!
You'll make some wonderful friends who have an in-common with you. What's a better in-common that writing? Do you like writing?
If you do, you'll have so much fun on this site. You'll be able to post your work and get it reviewed. I have to tell you, there are some awesome reviewers around here. They give great advice and they will certainly help you through your writing.
If you like to read, then you're in the right place as well! Read poetry, general fiction, fantasy and action. Anything you like, you'll find it here.

Make sure you review people, as well as ask them to review you. Helping people out with their writings is just as important as posting a story. Seeing other people's mistakes will teach you great things about the craft of writing.
Have fun and good luck!
I'm back to my YWS after months of disappearance, hoping that I'd gain the immunity of books and quills against the harmful realism of our world.

In case this made no sense, I'm just saying that I'm happy I'm back!
