Chapter One
~*~

The next morning, she sat there, waiting. Since 7 o’ clock to be precise. Occupied with a thick book about the history of Spawn; she waited. Til around 10, the two other nominees arrived, where she got up and stood. Being as antisocial as she was, she didn’t want to have any chances of striking conversation - or she may regret it if something else - something horribly bad - came out of her mouth again. Despite the exchanged whispers of the two who were obviously already friends, that she could hear perfectly fine even though she was about 8 feet away.

”Lucas, whose that?” The blond pigtailed light skinned teenager asked her older friend. They were both at the very least a year younger than the scarlet haired fellow student.

“..I don’t know Anny. But steer clear of her; I’ve heard rumors about she being the devil’s child.” He was darkly tanned, and had very dark curly hair. His eyes weren’t familiar. She couldn’t see them. It wasn’t as she was immobile, but more like, she just couldn’t.

They’re the same as everyone else... She bitterly frowned. Just like everyone else..

“And how’s that?” She got her toes, to whisper closer. He leaned in closer as well, as to try to hide what he was about to say, in case the subject at hand whom was nearby, could hear. It didn’t matter anyway. She still could anyway.

“There’s rumors. Rumors about her being part of that weird 69Blood Project.”

“..No way. She looks nice enough.”

He leaned back and scoffed. “Like a King Cobra snake perhaps.” He pointed. “See? She’s glaring.”

“How can you tell? She’s looking the other way!”

Getting up, Skylar had enough of their silly little whispering. They turned their heads. She slightly looked back, no expression was given, and they sunk back.

They didn’t like her anyway.

Walking away, leaving the girl named Anny to punch her companion rather hard upon realization their conversation was heard. Skylar wandered, she didn’t bother to try to socialize with people she didn’t even know. In fact, she didn’t know anyone else really.

When she got to the main hallway, people were walking around, younger and older. The noise buzzed in her ears. They were loud, and having 663 other kids in the Academy talk all at once can get rather irritating. So she ran, into a hallway that seemed to have just appeared, and away from the passing students. She wasn’t wearing her claw just yet, thankfully. Or she would’ve been stared at, or sliced a kid or two from the frustration.

She came across a hall to escape to, and walked on. Despite the fact she never seen it before, didn’t matter at the moment. As she turned a corner, she ran into a wall. Ouch. Just peachy. Easing her temples and her thin brows scrunched together.

”Ah-ah-ahem.” Did the wall just say something?

When she looked up, so called ‘wall’ wasn’t what it seemed to be - in fact, it was a man. Not a wall at all. A bald man to be exact, with frightening black tattoos all over his crown and forehead; his pale, cold eyes looked down, his glare was icy. His skin was white - palely and unhealthily white. His dark, black clothing are mostly of a long necked shirt with it’s sleeves all shredded, showing his well toned horse muscles - and how menacing did the man seem, despite his lack of eyebrows.

His wrists were covered with leather bands that looked painfully heavy - like 20 ton weights. And he wore heavy boots and black pants. He carried no weapon though, but Skylar was worried about his large fists, which seemed to clench even tighter. Or was that her imagination from the sudden adrenaline moving through her veins? Her heart pounded heavily.

Hopefully, her poker face was still on. She got up, her face void of emotion, and then she made sure to adjust her voice - as her previous mentor had taught and had beaten into her before. “Good morning, excuse me.” She had a robotic, monotone voice, and then attempted to get pass him. But a fist smashed into the wall, stopping her. His glare seemed to say, ‘And where do you think you’re going?’ She gulped. Her heart practically stopped -at least it wasn’t beating hard anymore. But the mask of emptiness was still there. Hopefully. She held her breath. Only vulgar thoughts crowded her mind.

Was he fucking serious? This guy was out to get her. She just knew it.

She was going to have to excuse her thoughts later.

“No entry granted.” He had a growl of a lion, and his teeth were sharp - as she noted, when he spoke and his mouth had opened. Maybe he was a cannibal? Not one to start fights with guards(and scary bogeymen, which she was certain was what this thing was), she obeyed silently. Almost.

Just before turning, her personality’s extremeness got the better of her. And realization took over, pushing out reason of getting back for the meeting. She was curious now. Just what was so important that the Council had a guard dog from Hell to do so? Perhaps some confidential documents? Most likely.

Fate has always guided Skylar anywhere, every time. Secrets were her specialty. Which explained why she chose her name as she did - as required of orphans taken in; to choose a name most suited to them, or just something to posses for as their own. She’s gotten a hold of (most of) her fellow classmates’ secrets. But maybe, for the first time in her life, there were just some secrets that she couldn’t get her hands onto.

She wasn’t going to have any of that. No way, no how. Not now.

Quick to react, she smashed his head into the wall. Saying her apologies, she ran down the hall. “Hey!” The monstrous thing roared, and ran at her. She quickly and swiftly turned at any corner. If she went to stop for even a breath to think - she was dead.

She kept running until she saw doors. Tall, finely polished oak double doors with gold brass handles. A second to think. Go in or not?

The guard dog man roared more fiercely. He was rather persuasive for her to quickly choose.

Excuse my barging. She quietly said her apologies in her head, and pulled the doors, and quickly gotten in, and closed them - just before he got to her. The last thing she saw were the monster’s eyes. Thosse eyes were red - like a demon’s. Her back turned, and she leaned against the doors, sliding down slowly. Her eyes were closed, and she took quick breaths. The door was banged on, before it went silent. Once regaining it, she opened her eyes.

A library. She was standing in a library. Observing her surroundings, she took notes fast and processed the information down. It had fuzzy minty green carpet, and maroon red colored walls - or what she could make out anyway. Many tall, dark cherry black wood shelves surrounded her. There were shelves build in the walls, rimmed with gold fitting. Dark ashen books lined every shelf. Black, thick and old books. Her breath hitched. Each book was completely black - all of them. She recognized their size.

Black Books that sealed Spawn and Scion. Secrets - or more correctly, living nightmares. Nightmares that were perfectly alive, and deadly. Created from negative feelings, dark chi, and our own imaginations. A perfect description of insanity’s bringing.

She was in the Archives. A place that was so confidential - it constantly moved through a dimensional portal timer throughout the Academy - so no one would find it. But only one question remained - how did she found it when no one else did? Maybe she was just special.

Maybe it was because she had been running away from a Hell dog human that was ready to bite off her legs and only fully complete arm. Her conscious seemed to always have that voice of reason - unlike her usually irregular thinking.

She mentally hit her forehead in an attempt to stop asking herself so many questions. She was going delusional. Maybe it was because she was on edge at the moment. This wasn’t one of the greatest days she had.

Snort.
A sudden irregular sound, echoed throughout the room. Was someone sleeping? Great.

That meant she wasn’t alone. Cautiously walking towards where the sound had echoed, it was rather confusing, like a maze. There were shelves of black everywhere, and barely any light to see her way; she turned and turned, but there even more shelves.

Until she took notice of white. White light - to be precise. Steadily, she walked through towards it, and once she touched it, her eyes seemed to have open - well, she thought she was awake; she was standing in front of a librarian’s desk. A sleeping librarian, on his desk.

On the carefully carved wooden dark of fine oak, on it, there was a plate. Drew Hall.

Was that his name? How nostalgic. A certain idol she looked up to from a younger age, Drew Hall, the youngest guardian to ever become one, from the tender age of 14. A year younger than what she was now. Handsome, strong, and charming was what the rumors said. Sighing from her ever working imagination, she thought of how she would think he looked like now. Dashing, dark hair perhaps, strong build..

But she shook her head, releasing herself from her head and back to reality. But he was dead now. In her mind, anyway. It didn’t matter to her, or so she hoped.

Mumbling, she talked to herself. “..Maybe I could ask for direc..” Pausing half way, she squinted a little; there was some more to the plate. “What’s that?” Carefully looking closer, in fine print - it read: If disturbed, you shall be terminated. Thanks, and have a nice day! Sincerely, the Librarian.

“...” She stared. Most of her thoughts disappeared into the air like smoke.

Scratch that on waking him up. She certainly didn’t want to be terminated just yet.

She turned away slowly. On the far right of the room, there was a label that caught her eyes. Nightmares of England. And when she gotten there, there were shelves and shelves full with specific monsters of the tales from England - as well as actual people. Jack the Ripper, Mary Ann Cotton, Dennis Nielsen{/i], Peter Sutcliffe. Serial killers were a part of nightmares? Jack-the-Ripper she could understand. But actual people?

Underneath Jack the Ripper, there was a wide array of books. Full of the Ripperology of the legend. One had a lock on it, and Skylar couldn’t help but take it out of its place, and then tripped over a pile of books. The lit candle that had been covered by a glass dome fell, as she fell into the bookshelf, hitting her right shoulder - hard. The book she held opened a bit, and a loose page fell out.

The candle’s fire had caught onto the page on the floor. “Crap.” She prepared herself, from her belt, a spare, long enough claw was taken, extended, and was latched onto her.

Out from the page, was the unraveling of the seal.
Glurt.
Sploot.
Glurg.
Krawrr.

Long, arches blades curved had peeked out of a pile of black ooze from the seal, which proceeded to diminish as more ooze spilt out. Preparing herself, she gotten into a battle stance, and when the ancient thing had finally emerged, she couldn’t help but hitch her breath.

“..Light?”

It spoke in a dark, creepy voice, and said something again, making her realize that it was real and wasn’t a figment of her imagination. “It’s light! Ha ha ha ha ha!” And it turned it ugly head towards her.

(A/N: Warning; Superb poor spelling was intentional in order to fully describe the character. If you’re having trouble reading it, try reading it out loud. If this doesn’t work, please state so in a review or PM me. Thanks.)

“A lihtle girl, how tast-ty(See below)!” It licked its lips, or what it looked like anyway for it was very thin that Skylar couldn’t imagine that this was of a human body. Perhaps that it was because of this that the creature had poor speech pronunciation - or from the fact that he was from an entirely different time era - with poor education.

Rile, and a true nightmare; having a bony and irregular body - though similar to a human’s body, palely skin was practically hanging off the sharp and point ended ribcage. Long, black as darkness hair reached to the floor, and the blades of which were it’s killing weapon were extending from shoulder bones, arms, knees, elbows, ankles, and hands. With an eye gorged out, there is a blank nothingness inside, and with the only other eye, it’s sclera black and irises white. The saggy skin that tried to tighten around the skull didn’t exactly tighten at all. It was a sight that would make you throw up. Especially the stench - the stench of olden stank.

Truly a monster worthy to be called a Scion - an elite one.
It took an eye to her right ‘arm’. “Oh? A clah-wah stuck ta ‘yer arm?” It chuckled lowly. “Are yous ganna ‘tah ack-tack me with ‘thit? Fool-vish chil-end.” Skylar clenched her teeth tightly, although it was hard to make out what it was trying to say - she clearly could understand what it was trying to say. It was mocking her.

It continued to chuckle and continued to the point it was put into hysterical insane laughter - until it halted suddenly. “But..” With looks dwelling, it took a more serious stance and expression. It’s menacing eyes stared. “ Tha’ thin’ looks (lukes) just like ‘tah the person tha’ trapped me in that buk.. I’mma hafta’ ‘git rida’ you!” Like a drunken man, its speech slurred; though it was perfectly conscious. Despite the slurring, its reflexes - were fast. Scarily fast. A claw had been dug into the ground, trying to pierce its target - her. “How shool’ I dooit?” She barely had dodged it, as her leather boot with several metals tailored into it, having torn from the blade’s passing. Cautiously lowering her eyes, she focused her aim, and ran up towards, swinging.

To her surprise, it didn’t even scratch. In fact, she went right through, but it mended itself. “What’re you lookin’(luke-ing) at?” It cackled. Before she could think up a plan, within seconds, it disappeared, and then appeared right behind her. A blade to her neck, she wasn’t fazed. Drool dripped onto her coat. “Awh, naw’ just seet her’ still an’ let me eat ‘chu.” That hysterical laughter roared again.

She was pissed now. Not only were her coat stained and boot torn; she was being humiliated.

You useless thing, this is why I abandoned you..!

A voice in her mind spoke, and she fiercely, in rage, turned, twisting her body back in a graceful acrobatic manner above the Nightmare, and dug her claw into its head. It screamed in agony. Of course, its brains couldn’t be damaged severely and kill it like a normal human - but it still hurt. The long strands of hair shortened a bit.

“You bitch!*”

She detached her weapon form her arm, and from her thigh - where her daggers and knives were available, she took some out, and swung as the blades flew. Her aim was well trained, as several hit the monster’s remaining eye and its heart, within range of weak points that were often found in Nightmares targeted by the other flying weapons. It howled, a lines of curses fell from its mouth, shockingly in correct pronunciation and grammar.

However, still being able to move, it rapidly - despite being slow down by a couple of seconds, cornered Skylar into a wall, a blade near to cutting her cheek. Tongue dripping in dark matter, it swung it around, threatening to burn off her face like acid. “Hee, hee, hee.. What shuld’ I do wit’ you now..” Skylar frowned, frantically forging a plan in her brain at a quick pace, each coming along with a dead end, and trying to find new solutions. “I needa pun-oosh you...!”

That is, til a long blade pierced through the monsters head, spilling the guts of whatever the head contained, before mending back, her claw fell out and latched onto the ground. “..What?” She muttered, her eyes traced to a shadowy silhouette. “Whose is you?” Her captor snarled.

Get a grammar dictionary or something already.. Skylar bemused herself for a single moment, until she snapped back to reality from the fact that her supposed savior had thrown one of her daggers at her face. Her head tilted slightly, and it barely missed. “...”

Kyack kyack kyack yack yack yack!” It cackled. Skylar looked at it with a strange stare.

..Was that supposed to be some sort of laughter?

“‘Ya missied’ much?”

Whatever they had to say to each other, she ignored it despite the silence that came after, and though the dagger that had cut her cheek slightly, from it, the loosely fit tilted blade seemed to point its edge towards the ground. She noticed that the space between her the Scion had grown, big enough for her to slip through quickly and to get her claw to attach it back on her arm. She slid to the floor.

“Hm? Hey!” It screeched, and Skylar dived underneath, grabbed her claw, and ran back, away from the nightmare, flipping back as well for precaution. It growled, and the shadowed silhouette of before, jumped, and landed in front of her. Adjusting her weapon to fit again, the long sharp curved and thick fingers’ latches inside attached to the holes of her fake puppet fingers, and she guarded herself, before looking up, her breath started to fasten, before stopping for a mere second at what she was looking at.

The back of the silhouette was a broad, strong back; of at least a man, a little older than her own 15 years age. From what she could make out from underneath a bandanna on his head, there was messy ash blond spiky hair, and light colored skin on his neck. A long, black coat with a slit in its tail fit on his well built body that could be seen clearly. In his hands - were two long swords. One that was as red as the stained and rusted blood it was coated in, sealed with a dark nightmarish black and star garnet stones in its hilt - from what she could make out from her view- its blade thin yet gave off a venomously dangerous aura. And the other, a whitiest of white - like a knight of pure light, decorated in gold - an Excalibur of which could have only appeared in her dreams, chained in silver and pearls. His hands surprisingly were slender, and thin, yet were thick enough to carry strength of holding the seemingly heavy weapons.

“And or’re you/i]?” The Spawn looked over to where his prey was taken. The new opponent that had appeared before didn’t say anything at first, in fact, he turned his head, where his face was visible from the right and behind - where Skylar was currently sitting. She looked up, and met with his eyes. The electric shocking ecstasy spread through her veins she felt in meeting a bright, glaring pair of hazel, full of killer intent, one thing met her mind. It couldn’t compare to anyone else. It couldn’t compare at all. Not of that woman, nor [i[that man’s. Her breath hitched again, her breath didn’t seem to want to come forth in this person’s presence.

She tried regaining her calm composure from before, and looked back up, and then down. It didn’t help, as she shifted her eyes to the monster ahead, trying to not squirm under the deadly glare being sent her way. The look that was sent her way was adverted, and she tried to stand up slowly, but collapsed, feeling like a newborn horse or fawn getting on its legs for the first time. It was a feeling of exhaustion and confusion.

The figure spoke. “I’ll ask the questions later. For now, I want to focus on one thing.” It was a deep, and gruff voice. Her mouth opened before her brain could think. “..Which is..?” It wasn’t nervous as she felt deep inside, but it seemed unsteady. He didn’t turn around, instead, he turned his head enough to look at the book of which the Scion came out from.

“How did this creature be let out when it had a lock?” He seemed angry. “..It broke?” Which was true, but he looked like he scoffed. “Go get the book, and keep the candle away from it.”

“Don fer’ get me!” The monster screeched, and lunged forward. A red blade was soon pierced through it’s stomach. That didn’t stop it from struggling to get at the very least a scratch on the wielder's face. Skylar crawled, and reached for the book, picked it up, and then slipped. “Whoa-,” she let out, as the book practically jumped form her hands, and into the fire of which the candle held. And burned it did. “You idiot!”

From it, seals of many unleashed its containment, and from it came insanity’s monsters. All different adaptations of the so called ‘Legend’, Jack the Ripper. Today, was not a good day.

Looking back with wide eyes to the blond, not only could she see his face, but she could see the frighteningly scary expression he had. She didn’t say a word. He narrowed his eyes, sliced the monster on his blade in half, as its split parts started to regenerate, he quickly threw a silver capsule. The fire spread, and burned down the entire bookshelf. He threw another. From the finished unraveling of the multiple seals, came the screeching calls of monsters, as many more seals were unfolding from the book’s erasing existence. He yelled over the creatures, “firstly, stop the fire from spreading! Open those sealing capsules and stamp them all on every one of the ones who were unsealed! Do it, now! Before this gets any worse!”

Quick to react, that was exactly what she did. Gracefully, she ran up the shelf, her claw latched on, and her legs held the capsule, and she opened it, and from it, she threw out the seals like they were daggers. Before she could continue however, she jumped onto the shelf of books, and at high speed, she took books into her hands, and dropped them to the floor safely away from the fire. In the corner of her eye, there was a monster that spat at her, and dodged. The acid like substance calmed down the fire, and it gave her an idea.

“Hey! You! With the face that spat at me! Bet you can’t get me!” Several turned, and spat in a multiple pace. Some spat out fire, but it countered with water like acid blocking it out. In soon time, the fire died as she stomped on the last remaining blaze. Taking the capsule, she poked through them all with her claw, and swung again, hitting the parts of the Spawn and Scion. Although some didn’t hit, it made its way to several books that were unfolding - and the seal stopped it from doing so.

She got most of them. A chant was heard, echoing throughout the room. It was the blond’s.

“From these hands,
and from this voice,
I chant to those who chosen have hoists.
From the power to lift the evil from the pure,
let me demand
for the blessing to cure
this world of those to become a savior.

Goddess of Eden, let me call to you,
have your power from your rest breakthrough,
eliminate the forsaken and let them sleep
and let their bodies onto this earth of never again, creep.”

This guy. This person was able to use a Level 5 chant? This person - was a Sealer?

Looking around her, the monsters who had been touched by the seals she threw had practically exploded, and then its particles fumbled into a crusted yellow paged book, screaming along the way. The few remaining, however, she attacked herself. Chanting was difficult, and it made him weak kneed as she took note of. Slicing and dicing her way through, all the while grasping the jade necklace she had on her tiny neck, and the chi that bursted from it, went to the absorbing properties of the metal in the claw, and destroyed victims of her killing spree.

There were only two left, she didn’t have anything left in the necklace, and took heavy breaths. Chi was like drugs. Too much of a dose could kill someone. She cursed, and fell on her knees, trying to catch her heavy breath. “Opening!” One of them screamed, and both rushed forward. She barely could react, for when she was able to look up, they were gone. And the Sealer had stood in front of her again, barely a breath stolen.

She was desperately tired, and knew that she was late. Very late. That meeting.. She could always try to explain. But that was foolishness. The Council took no excuses.

Before the two, a group of levitating white and blue clothed familars appeared. They split, and behind them, to her amazement, were the Council. The Council. She probably stopped breathing. The Leader, turned to her mysterious savior. “Come, you need to..” he looked around. “Report just what happened.” The blond man nodded, and walked with him.

Was.. that a Guardian? Had she just fought along side with a Guardian? Fate was surprisingly her a lot within two days.

The only females of the Council stepped forward towards her. They were beautiful - yet complete polar opposites. Dark black hair again pale, blond hair, tan skin versus white. Black coal eyes versus silver white eyes. An Amazon Mystic Warrior versus a Mystic Gentlelady. however, they both had very busty figures, with comfortably ready for combat yet revealing clothing. “You must be worn out, young chirpling.” The ‘light’ version spoke in a soft, kind voice, her smile dazzling. Her body was well brought out with peachy pink and gray robes, and Skylar can notice silver jewelry, but no weapon.

The ‘dark’ version in navy and pale blue clothing with a metal spear, decorated with gold, bronze, and emerald charms. “We, the Council, have watched your doings here, and what you’ve just done.” A gruff, and heavy voice yet womanly voice came out from the dark lips of the ‘dark’ version, her strong and glaring expression didn’t seem pleased. But she smirked. “Was this your first time in combat with this many Spawn and Scion, child?”

Skylar frowned slightly, and shook her head. Her voice, which should’ve been shaking with fear, did the opposite. It was strong. “No, ma’m. My previous Master Carla had left me with much worse.” She wasn’t bragging, but just stating something. However, both woman froze. The pale beauty looked on concerned, reaching out her hands to help Skylar up. From her hands, she felt a sudden surging amount of bliss that took away any pain or fatigue from before as she took a hold of them. The long, wavy haired woman asked, “chirpling, you don’t mean Carla as in Charloette Simmings, dear?”

Now Skylar seemed befuddled. “Yes, ma’m. What of it?” The darker woman came closer. “Child, then you are the one named as.. ‘Skylar di Calypso’, then?” Skylar cringed slightly. She spoke her name as if she was eating a badly brewed coffee. “..Yes, ma’m. And your names?” They looked at each other weirdly, and both spoke simultaneously.
“Humph. You’ll refer to me, as Esmeralda Reddinton.”
“Chirpling! It’s Marriella Pines, but you can call me Mary.”

Skylar titled her head slightly. “..Ex..excuse me? Could you repeat that?” A different voice answered. “Esmeralda,” the ‘dark version turned her head. “Marriella.” The pale beauty turned around, “yes, darling, dear?”

The Leader of the Council came, along side with the previous figure, behind him. “Leave the girl be, I’ll talk to her.” They stood there. “Alone.” They left quickly, back to the other three of the Council. Skylar nervously looked on, as she was confronted by the largely muscled built man before her. He had pointy ears, and a brown wavy ponytail that revealed a caramal dark tanned skin color. Emerald green eyes looked down her existence, and she squirmed. But, however, his voice seemed to give a different impression.

“Skylar, yes?” She nodded. “Drew here told me what happened from his perspective. I’m sure that you know that the Council and I were watching the whole thing.” Skylar, again, nodded. It wasn’t a question - it was a statement. A firm, scarily and innocently flung statement.

“Miss di Calypso, you’re not going unpunished for your crimes today.” She stiffened. Crimes? As in unleashing the Nightmares? She gulped. “So, I’m making you repeat your entire apprenticeship.” Her knees became wobbly. It had taken her 4 years to finish that stupid freaking enduring apprenticeship.. And it was all be wasted. She shook violently, but tried to maintain it.

That wasn’t just it. “Skylar, don’t sob just yet.” He waved his hand in front of her, this time, she noticed the blond presumably ‘Drew’ and was most likely the guy she saw earlier. She hadn’t recognized since there wasn’t any distinguishable remarks about him when he slept. He seemed extremely amused.
“I-I wasn’t, sir.” She boldly lied. This caught the Greatest Man of the Academy’s attention. “Oh? IS that so?” Curiously, he asked, “good then. In fact, there’s more.” Pausing, an idea that had crossed his mind took a great mischievous sneer upon forming.

“In fact; here’s your punishment. Since you’re redoing the course for Guardian duty, despite how well you did it; I’ll assign you your G-Master now. Drew Hall.”

Drew froze, and wiped that smirk right off his face. The red haired purple eyed teen looked at the brown haired older man. Both teenagers said simultaneously, “what?”

That started a beautifully destructive relationship between Master and Student.
-
A/N: And so ends the flashback of how Skylar and Drew met. The ending was rather roughly put together. Argh, just an hour and twelve minutes late of 'today', or more accurately, 'yesterday'. Sigh. Hopefully, this was longer than the split in two parts Prologue? Chapter Two shall most likely continue on their first mission. In fact, I could consider the mission mentioned in the Prologue, their second one. Yay for relationship bonding.

Give my writing no mercy to those who actually bothered to read. If it got boring half way through, say something! Thanks, review please, feedback is greatly appreciated after all. You'll have to excuse my lack of indents and scarily large paragraphs. I'll fix those later, someday. Good night, back to bed I go.

I''m kind of confused... I really don't know what's going on and I reread it a few times. I'm guessing this isn't a normal type of story, will you make that clear at the beginning? :) Also, I'm sorry to say, each time you use a semi-colon it's for the wrong reason. First, you can use a semi-colon like this :) : It was in the midsummer; however, the air was cold. Second: The new teacher was named Mr. Smith; he was very tall. From all I know, there's only two ways to use it. Other than that, I liked it. All I can say is work on semi colons (unless you're using it correctly, I can be bleh bleh sometimes), be a tiny bit more descriptive, and clear up confusion. Can't wait to see how the story ends! :) Thanks you!
