Untouchable
Chapt. 1

"The Clan ain't to happy with you, Jonathan," Cassandra murmured as her southern accent echoes through the room and she brushed her long, blond hair behind her shoulder.

John just grinned, gliding his tongue over the fangs in his mouth. He sharp pearls felt good against his gums, "they're never happy with me," he chuckled, leaning back against the dark red couch in their apartment. A shiver rolled down his back as the cold leathered pressed against him. He didn't embrace it; it was already freezing in the room, as always, since Cassandra "didn't like the heat".

She frowned, standing before him with her hands on her hips looking like a mother arguing with her child, "you should be concerned, Jonathan! What have you done this week?"

He stared at her thoughtfully and smiled, "nothing actually, I've been a good boy."

"For have being your older sister for, I don't know, five centuries? I know that you've never, ever been a good boy."

"I seriously have done nothing wrong this week, Cassie," he said, shaking his head. Dark hairs tickled his eyes and he brushed them away, "I promise."

She sighed, twirling a golden blond hair around her pale little finger, "alright, I'll take your word, for now. However, the Clan will be calling us any minute---"

The large Oakwood doors swung open and the short haired woman strode out, with a straight face and narrowed eyes.
Leona.

John shifted uncomfortably as she approached them. She walked like a model, her lips poking out like a kiss and with her groin forward, making her hips swing and her legs look longer. Her breasts were pushed up from her tight, leather outfit, outlining her perfect figure. And there was one main thing about Leona: she hated Jonathan, with passion.

"Cassandra," she nodded to Cassie in respect, offering a light smile. Then she turned to John, "Jonathan," she snarled, raising her chin.

He rolled his eyes, sighing, "Hi."

"Is the Clan expecting us now?" Cassie asked, her wide blue eyes full of unneeded concern and worry.

John rolled his eyes again.

"The Clan and the High Council."

"The government is apart of this?" John blinked, rubbing his pale hands together, "I didn't know not getting in trouble was a crime."

Leona snorted at his, giving him a snobbish look. She had hated Jonathan ever since he stumbled into the doors of The Court. "You must've done something, you twit, you always do."

He stifled a grin and stood, following behind Cassie and Leona as they made their way to the doors of The Court.

It was the same, as always, with the pale yellow marble floor and large columns right by the long row of elevated thrones the Clan sat on. However, since the High Council was attending, the chairs were seated by all seven members. The Clan stood in front of the large seating There were only three Clan members, two men and a woman. The Clan was the group that controlled only an area, like the governors of the vampires that populated the state. The High Council were the head of the whole vampire government. Not many people were eligible to even see them, let alone, in person. Their pale faces were motionless, frowning and dead like.

All eyes were on Jonathan, almost making him squirm.

"Jonathan Drew," growled Kylax, one of the head Council members, "you've been in our reports many times before, haven't you?"

He shrugged, "I won't deny it," he chuckled, "I'm quite popular."

"Watch your tongue," murmured Leona, "you're such an idiot."

He ignored her and turned to the Clan members, "Joanna, I haven't done anything this past month, have I?"

Joanna winced, glancing at Nicolas, the Clan member standing beside her. He was staring at her with his dark grey eyes, full of passion. She pulled away from his gaze and meet John's eyes again, "you've done something horribly wrong, John."

He blinked, glancing from his sister back to the High Council. "W-what have I done?"
Checker, a High Council member sitting on the far left, jerked a paper from his pocket. It scrolled out onto the table and he began to read, "Jonathan Drew De'Leon, you've violated the laws of the Codex and your punishment involves extermination."

John gaped at him as two large guards came to his sides and gripped his forearms.

"Wait!" Cassie cried, "what law did he break?"

Pamela, who stood up at Kylax's side and narrowed her eyes, "he fed from a mortal and killed her! A life for a life, Cassandra."

John's heart froze. He stared at his sister, his eyes widening. Butterflies exploded in his stomach as he slowly met the gaze of Pamela. She looked pissed, like really pissed.

The guards began to drag him away once again.

"Wait! What other punishment could be available?"

John raised an eyebrow. He'd never done the crime they assumed he had done. Of course, he'd feed from a mortal here and there but not kill them. His brown hair got into his eyes again. He frowned and blew it off, a strange mark flashed at the corner of his eye.

Pamela looked astonished; she gaped at John with wide eyes and stumbled to the steps to leave the thrones. She walked to the center of the court and the guards help John hard as she brushed up his hair with her hand. John cocked an eyebrow as a slow grin stretched onto her face.

"Interesting," she smiled devilishly, turning back to her fellow members, "he's getting his Marks."

John stared at her blankly, confusion in his eyes and bruising were former on his arms. He glanced at Cassie who was staring at him with bug eyes, her blue eyes nearly popping out of her skull. John had always loved her eyes and, right now, they actually soothed his nerves.

"Marks?" Cassie whispered, shaking her head and abruptly, she stormed out of the room.

John frowned, a heavy weight dropped onto his heart.

"Jonathan," Pamela said softly, leaning closer, her face inches from his, "do you know the......assassin we have in our little......detainment area?"

John gulped, "y-yeah."

"I want you to turn her into one of us."

"Damn!" Ruby shouted, clutching her almost broken wrist and wincing at the pain. Her cell was large but useless and heavily barred; they really didn't want her to get out, even the guards at the top of the large staircase were terrified of her. She grinned at that.

A loud creak echoed throughout the room and she glanced up from her chains to the staircase. Thunderous footsteps stomped down them and she smiled softly.

Company? She thought, sweetly. She wasn't crazy, no, but the smell of the cell was getting to her head. Hopefully, something meaningful will happen. It was so boring down there.

As the person --- people --- arrived to the bottom, she blinked. A handsome dark haired teen stood beside Pamela and the guards. Damn, she couldn't stand Pamela.

"Hey guys," she smiled, "I see you brought a guest," she nodded to the dark haired vampire.

He stared at her with soft light eyes and his pale skinned glowed in the moonlight glittering through her barred window.

"This is Jonathan, Ruby," Pamela said, sweetly and gave the vamp a gentle push towards the cell.

He winced, glancing back at Pam.

"Hi," Ruby murmured, blowing upward to move her dark red bangs from her eyes. It wasn't her natural hair color, but since her vampire slayer name was 'Ruby', might as well color it. Her parents didn't care.

Vampire boy didn't say anything, just stood quietly.

"He's a cocky, stupid s of a b," Pamela laughed and the guards chuckled. A stab pierced her heart when the boy grinned and his whole expression changed. From a sweet, quiet boy to a arrogant, graceful vampire.

"I love making you angry, Pamela, the crap you say is so funny. I can introduce myself to the young lady," he turned to Ruby, "hi Ruby, I'm Jonathan Drew De'Leon and I was born on February 10th, 1756 in London, England. My parents were murdered in a revolt in the early 1760s and I was sent to a foster home. I was nineteen when I was turned, my sister is the one who did it. I've been her baby since," he chuckled.

"Thanks for the summary of your human life," Ruby murmured, glancing at Pamela.

"You're very welcome. I'm a very important person; might as well be famous," he gave her a cocky grin and ran a hand through his luscious brown hair, "however, I have some very unfortunate news. I didn't come down here so you could enjoy my presence but......" he glanced to the side wearily, "I gotta turn you."

Ruby gaped at him, his eyes wide and her anger flared.

Suddenly the creak of the door cell opened and Jonathan was shoved inside. He fell to his knees on the floor and before he could react the cell door was slammed shut.

"Try not to get yourself killed, Johnny," Pamela laughed and began to stroll up the stairs with the guards trailing behind her.

Jonathan blinked and looked at Ruby and she slowly began to stand. She jerked her chains free, the project she'd been working on for two months.

He didn't seem scared just surprised as Ruby rubbed her wrists and pulled two large looking pocket knives from her pockets, "wanna turn me?" She smiled sweetly, flexing her wrists, "then come and get me."

Amazing! I must say I love your writing!

I couldn't really find any nit pits with your writing because you seemed so good at it!

I would have to say the language was something that confused me. You had this in third person, but the swearing seemed to reflect the character you were talking about at the moment.
Damn, she couldn't stand Pamela.

I assumed that was the girl talking. But then when they talk, you don't use swearwords.
"He's a cocky, stupid s of a b," Pamela laughed and the guards chuckled.

Now I realize it could just be a difference in characters or maybe they're not allowed to swear in front of the councils members, but it still kind of bugged me and I was wondering what the reasoning for that was.

This story reminds me of Twilight but the vampires seem more vicious but then nicer at the same time. I can't really explain it. I was kind of confused on why they couldn't kill mortals.
"he fed from a mortal and killed her! A life for a life, Cassandra."

Isn't that what vampires are supposed to do? I realize you might bring this up in further chapters or parts, but it just doesn't seem like an awesome vampire story if they're not allowed to kill anybody:)

And these vampires seem to horrible and evil. How could they seem that way if they don't want to kill anyone. The characters personalities with their actions just aren't adding up to me.

Might I just say I love your main character! Just for him I want to continue this story. He just seems to real to me and really funny.

I hope to read more of this *clicks follow*
