Hey everybody

Hey everybody! My name is Kayla, And I'm kind of new to this site! My friend, Holly, Halo... something and some letters (Forgot your username, sorry!) actually sort of in a way told me about this site... Well, Actually, She told us she posted her first chapter of her book, Drained, as her Facebook status. Haha. Anyways, I am 14 years old, and I love to write. Unfortunately, I tend to get stuck on my novels, and I never finish. I've probably started writing about 20 novels, but I've never finished, because I'd get stuck, give up, and try with a new idea. Hopefully, I can actually finish my first novel and post it on here. I'm going to need serious encouragement though. Hopefully, while I'm here and still a young writer, I can make some friends.
I have a VERY bubbly personality. Unfortunately, sometimes that's what people don't like about me. I talk. A lot. And by "I talk a lot", I mean I talk a LOT. Just ask Holly... If you can find her >.< Some of the stories I write are short stories, so I'll probably be posting a lot of those. Once I get back into "novel mood" I'll start TRYING to write my first novel... again.
Well, I don't really know what else I should post here, so I guess I'll just be going. Thanks for reading this unbearably boring introduction, I promise I'm not always this boring, I'm just kind of tired from bicycling for 3 hours straight hahaha.

My name is Micki (obviously ;P) and I'm basically very similar to you! I know exactly how it feels when you have areally good idea and you're excited about it, then you write a few chapters and think "... Poo... I don't know what to do now... Oh well!" and start something else! Pahahaha that's exactly like me. But once I joined YWS I finally got serious about a novel I'm working on! So for it's only got three chapters, but hey! It's a start

I think you'll like it here SO MUCH! At first I was totally confused when I came here but I figured most of it out and now I come on every day! Almost for hours on end The people here are really great too, so I think you'll fit in great! Also, reviewers here help out a lot. Most of them are super detailed and help you learn how to write more professionally and you'll definitely get better (and most of them are really nice, which is definitely a confidence booster! ;P)

If you need any help, any at all, feel free to PM me or post on my wall! I'm sort of new here as well (two days until my 2 month-aversary! ) so I think you'll fit in right away! you can even join a review team! You can earn points for your team and meat new people, it's really fun and just started, too!

Welcome to YWS!! I'm sure you'll love it here. You can be bubbly!! ^-^ I tend to talk too much sometimes, and I'm not as worried about what I say on this site. It's pretty open ,ad people are pretty accepting. (So long as you play nice, everything's fine.....well, Skins doesn't exactly play nice, but that' because she's sarcastic. So, ..............bunny trail. Just play. You'll be fine.)

Just be yourself and have fun here! You're bound to improve in your writing if you listen to your critiquers-- they're great! Don't mind the reviews that tear your work apart piece by piece-- those are the ones that actually help you improve the most. Just know that people are criticizing you because they want you to improve. (And because they want to like what they're reading, but mostly they just wanna help. XD)

I have the same problem with novels. I've started so many, but so far the only one I finished basically became a really long short story. That's why I usually stick to poetry nowadays . I've found this site very encouraging in the past, so I think it will definitely be beneficial for you. It's especially great for getting really good reviews and suggestions on your work. I actually tried writing one for Nano, and that didn't go too well, so I've been trying to work on it since then, and still, I end up getting stuck.
