Koiga and Maja were on their way to Vivice on the swiftest horses the guild had to offer at dawn.

"Ah, the exitement of a quest!" said Maja, tail streaming out behind her in the wind made from their galloping.

"IO couldn't agree with you more"

Vivice was a large cluster of stone buildings that were situated on the water. Each building, which were the size of castles, represented a different district of Vivice. Behind all the main buildings was a large temple that was used to worship the gods that stopped the moon from crashing into Vivice thousands of years ago.

"So, what's our mission?" Maja asked when Vivice came into view.

Kioga took out a piece of paper with his orders written on it. "Not what I expected for my first mission."

"What?"

"We have to assasinate the owner of the Pot Rat Inn. He's supposed to be one of the head huanchose in charge of the Theives Guild."

"Okay, let's get some food from him, first," said Maja, baring her pointed incisors.

"No can do," he said, and they hitched their horses to a nearby hitching post and walked in.

They were in a small, dimly lit, slightly grubby bar, when they heard a voice:

"I've been waiting for you"

“Sorry about the blood in your mouth. I wish it was mine. I couldn't get the boy to kill me, but I wore his jacket for the longest time.”
