Skeletal remains
Adorn an empty shore
Hull cracked
Water flows in, then out again
Masts broken
Felled like once mighty trees
Prow splintered
Never to plow the waves again
Cannons rusted
Gaping maws silent evermore
Sails torn
Like flightless wings flutter
Ropes snapped
Strewn upon a ruined deck
Railings shattered
From impact of stormy waves
Once mighty seabird
Destroyed by its sky.

It's a good poem. I usually like the poems that tell a story or have a character and their emotions or dealing with some turmoil - but that comes solely from my experience as a writer moreso than a poet. Either way, it's a good poem. I like the imagery and similes.

Yeah, I can see where you are coming from, but this poem was entirely meant to paint a picture. No more, no less. There is no story to tell unless you deal with the two last lines. And that is really the only part that you could call a conflict.

It worked. I get an extremely vivid picture in my mind. This poem portrayed a shipwreck with perfect accuracy. There's not really much more to be said other than I love it, and great job!!!

I love the last two lines--amazing. I also like the line
Like flightless wings flutter

I also got the feeling of age/passge of time while I was reading it, which is good; it makes it very epic.

You painted a very vivid picture, so good job. It was short and sweet and clear. I quite enjoyed it. :P
Have I not commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed, for the lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

There is nothing more radical or counter-cultural, at the moment, than laying down one’s cynicism in favour of tender vulnerability.
