This probably isn't really poetry. It's more a speech than anything. Anyway, hope you enjoy it.

How do we define the word, 'life'? Is it just the period between birth and death? Or is life what we make of life? Is life the single word we use to describe the living and the things around us? These questions I cannot answer. These questions, no-one can answer, and no-one, can ever answer. The meaning of life is a concept that hides behind thick barriers. But it does not do this through fear, but because of life's love for the living.

It is not what life makes of you, it is what you make of life.
It's not what life makes of you;
But what you make of life.

This is indeed poetry, in the artful way you expressed this. I liked it. However, you could make this more recognizable as poetry if you create line breaks. Like so:

How do we define the word, 'life'?
Is is just the period between birth and death?
Or is life what we make of life?
Is life the single word we use to describe the living
and the things around us?
These questions I cannot answer.
These questions, no one can answer, you don't need the hyphen, by the way.
and no one no comma either can ever answer.
The meaning of life is a concept
that hides behind thick barriers.
But it does not do this through fear,
but because of life's love for the living.

It is not what life makes of you,
it is what you make of life.

Great poem! I really liked it, it was pretty inspiring. you took a topic that would normally be seen as worn out and even cliche and made it work. Great job.
Shakespearian tongue-twister:

To sit in solemn silence
In a dark, dank dock
In a pestilential prison
With a lifelong lock;
Awaiting the sensation
Of a short, sharp shock
Of a cheap, chippy chopper
On a big black block.

I love this poem. It was unique and deep. I often wonder what's the meaning of life and why we are all here. What's the purpose of life? I have endless quuestions bt like you said they arn't going to be answered. I really like the last line of the poem It's my favorite line. Good job and I hope to read more poetry from you!
