Hey, I'm Vyper.

Oh what to say?

Well my real name is the atrocious combination of Sarah Irene Jeanette (names that hold a very special place in my heart, you know the place reserved for unadulterated hate? Yeah that one.), to make a longgggg story short - I really don't like my name and never have, never will. On that note my friends call me by my long time (nearly as long as I've been writing) pen name - Vyper Dahl. I'm a writer of mostly "Dark" fantasy (as my friend who are tired of reading my stuff call it) you know - gory tales of wicked dark magic and secret societies filled with the stuff of myths (vamps, dragons, shifters, mages, time traveling elves, elves, weird stuff in general) with a bit of slightly convoluted romance (or at least sex) thrown in for my own amusement.

I've been a writer since around seventh grade when I read a book on Greek mythology and decided that my (very bad, very very very very very bad) take on how it would be now a days (again; very very very very bad) should be put out for people to read (just in case I wasn't clear before, that "story" if you can call it that was HORRIBLE). Since then I’ve spent a lot of time improving and finally feel like what I write is at least passable and I’m eager to find out what people like about the way I write and the stories that I write and what I could improve on.

Sadly my quest to this place (where so far it looks good and legitimate and well, what I’ve been searching for) has been long and filled with horrific excuse for writing sites such as (but totally not limited to) – Quizilla, Mibba, Booksie, and others that shall remain unnamed for my sanity…

well, its late, i'm tired, and if I want to get any sleep tonight...Make that today, I need to finish writing this plot bunny out.

Welcome to YWS, Vyper! I can see you're not going to have a hard time making friends!
I remember trekking through a long line of good, bad and horribly twisted writing sites before coming to YWS, and believe you me, this site blows everything else out of the water! Just follow the general rules of society, be polite, read, write and have fun.
If you ever need any help, you can go ahead and PM me or anyone else with your questions, but the people with the light green usernames are the ones who really know everything. They're the junior moderators, or, as we call them, the Jmods. Dark green names are senior mods and red names...
Basically, colored names are the people in high places.
Don't be afraid to ask for a review.

If it makes you feel any better, I don't like my name, either. I went through this stage when I was growing up that I had to constantly change my name. Even now, I'm generally called one of three things, and it's enough to confuse me once in a while. Though, one nice old lady did tell me I'm much too feminine for my nickname (which is Eddie).
