If you think there are too many love poems.
Take a moment to observe.
Hang on tight, you might be wrong,
and the answer, I will serve.
The secret truth behind them all:
Love spikes every single nerve.

It’s unfortunate that you loathe this emotion.
but are you really sure you do?
Maybe you hate love poems so much
because love came, and hurt you.
Or maybe you are too young,
to see the beauty hidden within.
You could be blinded by the agony,
of the way he made your heart spin.

It turns out in the end,
as you soon will grasp.
Love is what makes the world go round,
and makes every moment last.

Without love there is no passion,
there's no strength or guiding force.
The days pass by slowly,
taking nature’s course.

Love found and lost is meaningful,
when your feelings are expressed.
Which is why so many love poems
are posted on YWS.

Spoiler
This is rough, I know...so please help me with edits! I am struggling the most with the first stanza. The flow must be really off? Thanks!

Hi! I'm Cassie; today I'm going to help you with your poem.
First off, I thought it was very cute. I like how the title draws in the people who don't like love poems, but then allows them to question themselves.

Alright; now I'll help a bit with the flow of your poem. We'll go stanza by stanza.
If you think there are too many love poems? (delete this question mark; I don't really think it's a question. However, if you wanted to make it a question, I would change 'if' to 'do')
Just take a moment to observe.
The secret truth behind them all:
Love spikes every single nerve.(I love this line!)

Alrighty. I really like this first stanza. I might add a line between the first and second, something along the lines of, "Clear your head, you may be wrong," just to set up the reader as you contradict them.

It’s unfortunate you think this.
but could this fact be true?
Maybe you hate them so much, (delete this comma; you're messing up the flow)
because love came, and hurt you.
Or maybe you are too young,
to see the beauty hidden within.
You could be blinded by the agony,
of the way he made your heart spin.

This is a great stanza! It really forces the reader to look back on their emotions. However, the first two lines confuze me. What is the "this" you are reffering to? I would change the lines to: "It's unfortunate you despise their love/But are you sure you really do?" It flows better and I can comprehend your question.

It turns out in the end,
as you will soon grasp.
Love’s (change to "Love is") what makes the world go round,
and makes every moment last
.
I would change it from "as you soon will grasp" to "as you will soon grasp", just because that's how I read it in my head normally.

For (delete 'for') without love there is no passion,
there is no strength or guiding force.
The days just (delete just) pass by slowly,
taking nature’s course.

It's been sounding good for the past few stanzas, just making a few quick changes.

Life is always meaningful,
when you have true love to express.
Which is why so many love poems, (delete comma)
are posted on YWS.

Okay, we're in the home stretch! I love how you rhymed 'express' with 'YWS'. Very clever :)
I might change the first two lines to "True love makes life meaningful,/your feelings have to be expressed". I feel like that gets your point across a bit better.

Well, we're all done! I really loved this poem. It was cute, and to the point. I hoped my review helped, and if you have any questions, feel free to PM me!

Cassie --> Thank you so much for your review! It was so helpful :) I made a few of your changes, and a few others I had found. I hope it reads better. If you have any more advice (especially for the first stanza) please let me know!

I love this poem! The rhyming works really well. The thing I like the most about this poem is that it is so true. Just one thing,
Jessa wrote:when your feelings are expressed.
It just looks like a typo to me, but I thought I should point it out to you.
Keep writing! :D

Loved the poem! The rhymnin and flow were both really good :)
There weren't really any corrections or errors that I could find. I really like the story behind the poem as well. It was interesting and true. Great work! :)
I'd like to think I'm creative... instead of just plain weird ;D
