Got any budding plot-bunnies you want to share?

Hi everyone!

I'm thinking of starting an online webcomic as a way of improving my drawing and PSE skills, but I've come to a slight hitch in plans.

I have no usable plot.


So, I've come here to my favourite haven of writers to see if any of you would like to collab with me to create a webcomic!

I'm looking for someone (ideally) who has a plot that is still in planning/plot-bunny stages, but one they feel pretty passionate about. This would be a pretty long-term commitment, so please only reply if you would be serious about undertaking this.

Im no good at comics, but I have the plotting skills

Well, I'd love to collab-write a web comic. However, you used the word 'serious' and I'm never all serious. We will have to see how that works.

Anyway, I'm pretty good at drawing. I have some of my past stuff up (I've improved after reading books and watching online lessons) and I have more plots than I can suitably deal with. I currently have about fifty projects or more sitting around my head, mostly sulking because I'm not using them.

Otherwise:

I currently am working on a high-aged teen television drama/science fiction show for Screnzy. I have two episodes written out, pantsed, and a working plot. I have a log-line, synopsis for first season, idea of what the people would look like ideally, etc. While I wish it would be picked up by MTV or such, I'm sure it could be turned into a web-comic rather easily. It's about a guy who is possessed by the spirit of an anachronism terminator and his thusly 'interesting' life. Very much Buffy meets Jack (F. Paul Wilson's Jack) meets Dr. Who. I can give you more information if you want.

I also had a budding idea about four or five friends, super heroes, who have to deal with their extremely ironic powers. (Super strong guy? As if. Totally a girl.) It's meant to be half slapstick comedy and half semi-serious romantic soap opera. I don't have it very 'well-formed', however. All I know is that I want it to be called 'Storm Watchers', if that name isn't already taken. It was meant to be a graphic novel.

I have a half dozen more where that came from. Novel ideas, mostly. But they COULD be turned into web-comics, if needed.

Oh, but I do have some questions:

Would you be doing all the artwork?

Do you have any examples of your artwork online, where I can see it?

Would this web-comic be in a traditional American style, or manga? A mix between the two? Realistic manga?

Would this be a co-work business venture? As in, I still OWN my half of everything?

I'll probably think of more later. Anyway, good luck with your drawing and if you already have a partner--good luck with that as well.

Just a quick thought, rather than collaborating with a single person you could try crowdsourcing the plot. Start with a basic plot, then ask YWSers to come up with details, story-lines, and characters, and turn it into an episodic webcomic.

@ Celtica and tr3x: I don't understand how this would work.... it sounds like it would be pretty complicated to draw together all the ideas into something coherent =/
