Hi there everyone! I'm April, and yes my real name is April! People online often think I'm 'trolling' or pulling a prank during April.

So if it's not obvious I'm very new to this site, but from the two comments I got almost instantly after joining I think I'll fit in very well around here! Everyone is very friendly! I suppose this is the part where I talk about myself a bit. I've never been very good at this, but here goes!

I originally was part of another writing site, until I decided I didn't have to put up with the way I was being treated and left. I won't give the name of the site, for their sake. It seems when you tell a writer you liked Twilight and Vampire novels they get extremely prejudice and shun you. So I guess that's two things about me, I don't like being judged and I like vampire books.

Um, what else. I won't/can't post a picture for you, but my hair really is cotton candy pink. I would show you a picture if Lindsey wasn't such an internet safety freak. (Seriously, she would kill me). I know she means well, and I love her for it. So besides that I really don't know what more to tell you... I guess you could just ask? I'm always happy to help!

Lots of love, people!

I tried writing some poetry once... it didn't turn out very well. I write fantasy, fan fiction, action, and I do photography!

I have tried writing fan fiction and I am still on it but you see, I fail when it comes to novels. But I would be of no use if you would want me to review novels. If you ever post a poem let me know. I'll review it as soon as possible.

Welcome to the site!
You like Twilight...and you're not overly fangirly? Wow, I wish there were more Twilight fans like you. Most are like, "OMG EDWARD I LUV U!!!!!!!!" so yeah. Anyway, everyone is really nice, and nobody here likes the song Friday and we definitely don't like the song My Jeans.
Anyway, another reason I already like you is that you can spell. Shockingly, we get a lot of new members who can't. It's refreshing to see someone who can, y'know? ^^
The user Puzzler says hi, too. She was originally going to greet you, but was afraid she was going to be mean about Twilight. xDD She's Canadian too, by the way.
I look forward to seeing and reviewing your work! Any trouble navigating the site, or any questions, feel free to ask.

Thanks Annie! (Oh look! Another A-name!) And Edward? Psst. Team Jasper! All the way! Those fangirls scare me too, I went to see the movie and nearly got trampled to death by Edward/Jacob fans. I mean really? Where is the love for the others? (Watch out Alice, I'm coming for Jasper!)

The only thing I didn't like about Stephani's vampires was the sparkling bit. I like my vampires to combust, if Jasper was under the threat of combusting I'd have to... oh I don't know... lock him in my basement and never ever let him out? Oh dear I'm Twi-ranting now.

(And by the way... after listening to those songs I committed ear suicide. Crazy stuff.)

Exactly! I mean, seriously, you might as well call them blood sucking pixies if they're gonna sparkle! xD I could go on about how the plot is weak, cliche, and uncreative, the whole Mary Sue/Gary Stu bit, the whole Bella-has-no-personality-and-is-useless bit, the what-about-Bella's-period bit, and so on...but I'm sure you've heard it all before. To each their own, right?

As for the music...*shudders* Yeah, just making sure you knew we hated it. x3 Imagine Rebecca Black combined with Justin Bieber: "Friday, Friday, Friday, ohhhhhh!"

I... kinda... liked the books. Bella did have a personality. She was an angsty, yet shy teenage girl facing the troubles of parent divorce, a big move and self-doubt. She didn't have any real friends because she was too closed in and nervous about making herself look like the fool.

As for the blood sucking pixies bit, I'd love to see a pixie run at incredible speeds and lift five times their body weight.

It did have a plot, not a strong plot but it had one. It was the teenage romance between an unlikely couple who had to over come many obstacles but in the end, proved true love conquers all.

(I will admit, I did wonder about her period.)

But please do not criticize the book by it's surface appearance. You have to look a tad deeper and see what's inside.

My response:
Spoiler
Thing is, I've read them, and I never look shallow in a book. And as for the plot, did I say it didn't have one? I said it was weak, cliche, and uncreative. And it is cliche. You even said it wasn't strong. Bella's personality can be guessed at, but it's still boring. The incredible speed and strength seconds the Mary-Sue/Gary Stu thing, i.e. too-perfect characters.

But back to the personality...it never describes her feelings, ever. Only her actions. Nor does it describe her love for Edward; it just shows a few cute moments and flat-out states it. I'm not hating because everyone else does, I'm just not a fan.

However, the two characters that I liked were Jasper and Alice because they had strengths, weaknesses, and interesting pasts. Otherwise, I just didn't enjoy the books. I wasn't looking on the surface, I was considering every aspect.

Cute, but I'm not a big fan of rodents. I had a bad experience with them when I was little. (And as long as you like Jasper, I guess I can forgive you.)

Hi April! :)

I like you already! :) You're a Twilight fangirl alright, but you don't seem to be the be type I'm usually scared of. And glad to hear you don't like those songs. My ears killed themselves three times because of those. XD Anyways, welcome to YWS, and stay with us. We don't bite. Not much, anyways. XD
