Spoiler
The first stanza's about harry potter, second one is about the chronicles of narnia, third stanza's about percy jackson and the fourth one is about twilight.

The book I'm reading makes me wonder
Whether the school of wizardry has done some blunder
Why has the owl not yet arrived with my letter?
The eight-foot giant should come to fetch me soon, he better

I've been groping in this wardrobe for over an hour
When will the door to that other world be held ajar?
When am I going to meet the young audacious prince?
So that i can help him put an end to his uncle's sins

Now I've been throwing my food into fire
Hoping the Greek Gods will fulfill my desire
To be sent with a satyr to brave thunder, a sea, a maze
And a centaur will help me make it through the haze

The place I live in doesn't have constant cloud cover
But I'm still hoping to meet my immortal vampire lover
Together we could discover a meadow while hiking
and with my werewolf best friend, I'd go mountain biking

You may think I'm a weirdo, but please let me be
Call me crazy, but a girl can dream, can't she?
and I'll keep on dreaming, nothing will make me stop
and I'll keep on hoping, this idea I will not drop

I know you don't get it, I don't expect you to
You can only understand if you love books like I do
You think they're not true, these tales of glory
But for me that's the real world, and this one's the story.

Note: the occasional inaccuracies are intentional so as to not get sued :)

You say you like it, but do you like it enough to 'like' it?

xP This poem made my day/night. I was reading it at first and wondering what magical book it was you were referring to with all these characters then about half way through I realized what was going on. I especially liked the first reference about Harry Potter and laughed hard at the Twilight one. Keep on rhyming!

Hello there. I'm Ehte, here for the review. The imagery used in your poem is really good. The first two stanzas did not rhyme at all but then the rest had a perfect flow to it and the rhymes were also perfect. If you could manage to rhyme the first two stanzas also then this poem would be complete while dealing with the rhyme and flow. Okay now its time for the nitpicks.

The book I'm reading makes me wonder
Whether the school of wizardry has done some blunder
Why has the owl not yet arrived with my letter? arrived my letter? This does not sound good.
The eight-foot giant should come to fetch me soon, he better

I've been groping in this wardrobe for over an hour groping is not a good word to use over here.
When will the door to that other world be held ajar?
When am I going to meet the young audacious prince?
So that I can help him put an end to his uncle's sins

Now I've been throwing my food into fire The now at the start is unnecessarily used.
Hoping the Greek Gods will fulfill my desire
To be sent with a satyr to brave thunder, a sea, a maze to brave thunder? Reword.
And a centaur will help me make it through the haze And a centaur will help me through the haze

Call me crazy, but a girl can dream, can't she?

You better try thinking about the punctuations in your poem. They are like backbone for a poem without punctuations a poem looks and reads lame. Other than that it was a pretty good poem.
Keep writing. (:

This is, by far, the most amazing piece of literary work I've read here. The fact that I love books too and have read all of these might have something to do with it, but I think it's still pretty darn amazing.

I can't really pick out my favorite part because I loved the whole poem so much, but if I had to pick one, it'd be the one with the Twilight reference.

All in all, this is well thought out, appropriately worded, amazing poem.

Keep up the good work.

Hi!! I loved this poem so much it made me smile with the biggest and brightest smile! Thank you for that, I thought this poem was really good with the content and the idea was amazing although some of this seemed a little forced. But no matter the forced ways of it, I still loved it! I can so easily relate to this because....... there are few things I love to do on this Earth other than read and discover new worlds and such. So thanks for posting, great job!
Peace,
Snickerdooly
